As usual out standing work have never ever seen as skilled as you.though I work with couple of good upholster s u are the best 👌👍. wishing u all good health happiness and success in life . Happy New year .
Thank you for that excellent video, I'm just learning car upholstery and the most difficult item for me to do is the headrest, especially the closure on a foam filled head rest, I assume the white thread stitch (10mm) from edge is a guide for the final sew? Thank you again....you are very talented, both as an upholsterer and a teacher
Thanks for watching the videos! Regarding your question, you are right. A white stitch was sewn at 8 mm from the edge. It is useful when we do foamed pieces to avoid wrinkles. It flattens this seam. Besides, it is a 'guide' to sew the final closing sewing which it is done at 10 mm. Am overlock sewing machine is useful to make the guide line and flatten this seam area.
I've used a silver pen leather marker. Shoemakers use a lot this kind of pen.www.amazon.com/Tandy-Leather-Marking-Pen-2097-00/dp/B00QAUYDYI www.ebay.com/itm/100pcs-Refillable-Mercury-Pen-Water-Erasable-Pens-Fabric-Leather-Marker-Tool/382424661628

Dear Robert, Just now I see the question, sorry. The V notches are done in the rounded corners, centersa and junctions. The notches in the centers are precise in the center. The others around are done approx. by sight at a distance of 5 cm approx. First are marked on one side then the half mold is folded to match the othe half and mark the same V notches.

That was a clever trick to suck the air out the foam to shrink it.. Like your work.... Neat..
A domestic vacuum cleaner helps somehow. An industrial vacuum machine would be much better.

You can use fabric tabe instead of those weights. I used to do same until I saw someone using tapes to stop the fabric from moving.
Seu trabalho é excelente tenho vc como referência de profissionalismo! Tbm trabalho com este ofício

Hi, what kind of plier do you use for making marks ?
Any regular pliers can do the V shape marks.
