      I have a 1989 Corvette and the two sunvisors are not very well so I’m thinking of rebuilding them or buying rebuilt ones what is your suggestion?

    Thanks for another lesson from the master. The old visors from the Trans Am are just cardboard, they will be re-done with chip board. I just replaced the window in a canvas top, I looked for a video from your channel but didn't see one. I took my time since I only had one chance to get it right and smiled when I headed around the last turn and headed down the home stretch. What a teacher you are, professor.       @@monkeeladee8638 That depends on the design of the mirror. Some are simply laid in like in this video. Others have to be disassembled by opening the clamshell-type plastic visors.. Once you start to pull things apart it should become apparent how the rest comes apart. You can do it!

    Hi my question is 96 Cherokee XJ overhead counole The little tip that sticks out that snaps into the clip that is secure as the wiper in place to the roof has broke off my visor My visor is shorter than all the other regular XJ's without counsel mine does have a council how do I put that little nub back on so I can lock my wiper back in I'm afraid cut apart and I haven't been able to find those wipers anymore help please any information will be greatly appreciated thank you so much your video is awesome I'm getting a lot of ideas from watching and I heard you say you can make them any size you want and I ain't a really short

      Hello 1Jim, Thank you so much for saying so! As far as the piece that broke off, I would drill out the center and insert a steel pin both sides. Then use super glue to glue it back together, or even plastic weld it. Please keep liking and watching!

      @@oldschoolautoupholstery I thought about that when it first happened and I had the the piece in my glove box so when I was able to I was going to repair it My vehicle got stolen it was a mint condition and I got it back a month later and of course well means to say I may have to try another option to repair that thinking maybe just pull apart a full size sun visor out of one of those Cherokee XJ's cut it down and cuz I need to redo the headliner and my visors and do something crazy but I liked your technique wow man I think me being a master certified automotive technician that's my calling this upholstery is definitely your calling I've been watching your videos wow and thank you for getting back to me so rapidly I have a body of mine his name is Paul Martinez we live in in Denver Colorado My buddy Paul and yourself share some of the same crazy zany facial expression keep up the good work my brother and thank you for being you stay safe and helping not only for yourself but for your family and for everyone you come in contact with I started smiling and talking to every morning and everyone I mean everyday I'm probably about four years ago and some people look at me cuz I am crazy and some people thank me cuz tomorrow is not guaranteed and you never know who's life you can affect so enjoy life have fun and I'm more than one thing never let you smile be changed by the world let your smile change the world ciao for now

He used those to make leather boots way back then and sowed them with that would have been nice to have that now to do that

      Hello Compu, Yep in 45 years I have done plenty. Most lit mirrored visors will have some type of framework to hole the mirror portion together. I just take them apart and reassemble the same way. Please keep liking and watching!

    What contact cement are you using from hardware store? It would be far more convenient to have something accessible than hard to get all the time.
