I also would love to have that mannequin thick hair! Fabulous tutorial! Your hair is stunning! I learn so many tips from you. Thanks for sharing your expertise! ✂️ 👩🏻🦰
I just got this haircut last week and my hair has never looked so thick and full! I went to a different stylist I have never been to before because I needed a last minute appointment and booked a master stylist at salon lofts. I lucked out because she also has thin fine hair like me and I felt like she just understood me and gave me this exact cut. I love it!
This is perfect for my hair. Due to wrong dosage of my thyroid meds, my hair thinned considerably. It’s straight too. I wish you were in Texas so I could have you do it
Thanks for sharing this video, I’m a cosmetology student and I found this to be very helpful. Also, on a personal note, you’re very beautiful and you don’t need to be envious of the mannequins hair. You look great girl. :)
Thank you for another informative video. You are a treasure. It must be hard sometimes reading the comments that say some pretty rude crap. I apreciate you and the videos you make. Your opinion is vauled.
I went to a hairdresser 2-3 days ago to get something similar to this. I haven't ever seen how a bob is cut to judge anything because I usually always have my hair in layers but probably due to university stress and horrible lifestyle, I lost a quarter of my hair. Thus, to make it look fuller and give my hair a fresh start, I decided to go with a bob. Good grief though, when the woman started cutting my hair, I just knew she was doing it wrong. Let's just say, my brother is teasing me for looking like Dora the Explorer from Temu sans the bangs. Got this video randomly recommended and wow, I am realizing just now how much sectioning goes into a bob meanwhile the stylist I went to literally just cut the hair in a 'straight' line around my neck (I put straight in quotes because it is somehow visibly uneven everywhere). It is too short to do anything now, I actually have to keep it half up-half down until it grows 2 inches longer and go to someone else. Sorry for the long rant, this is my first tears-inducing level bad haircut of life.
I have thin, fine hair which has been in a Bob since the 80’s. I switch back & forth with bangs BUT really it’s the only “style” that makes it seem I have any hair. The dummy has as much hair in one clip as I have on my whole head!
YES! Beautiful cut for fine hair! Your new cut looks awesome. Manufacturers of mannequin heads should do some with growth patterns more like real life for those stylists who don't understand fine, thin or high hairline hair and need practice before they get their scissors on someone like me...😳
Thank you so much for putting these videos together. I am a new stylist and I love how detailed you are when creating these beautiful cuts. Love your energy.
I always like 6-6.5in. I don't mind a longer length for deep point cutting when dry, but I always just use the same shear so yrs ago I quit buying various sizes. I use SharkFin now and they are linked in description!
Summer, what is a good product to use to get volume into fine hair , The Bob you cut is just beautiful. I have been trying to get this look forever. The stylist I was going to just get crazy with scissors and texturizing shears on my fine hair. She always gets it way to short even though I tell her over and over that I am tying to let it grow to chin length or below and I think I just need to change stylist, last time I took her a picture and she still cut the hair so short on my neck it was like a man's in the back. It was so short up my neck, like when you razor shape up a man's hair on his neck. So, the whole thing now has to start all over to grow and the top is heavy. I just can't see to get this hair cut where I live. I don't think they understand a Bob with long layers. HELP! Thanks Summer, beautiful job and I love that you took your time to cut this look and talked about what to do and not do. I have certainly given this stylist so many trys. IT'S JUST TIME TO FIND A NEW STYLIST. :-)
It sounds like you do! If you have been communicating well, which it sounds like you are, there is no reason you shouldn't be getting what you want. I love love love Moroccan Oils Root Lifter and Volume Mousse I continually go back to them. I do wish the mousse had a touch more hold to it. Another great option that's a lower price point I like Paul Mitchells Root Lifter and Mousse as well. Their mousse really expands so you do not need to put a lot in your hand. It takes some getting using to. Hope these helps, let me know if you have any other questions!
Thank you for another informative video. You are a treasure. It must be hard sometimes reading the comments that say some pretty rude crap. I apreciate you and the videos you make. Your apoion is vauled.
I have long straight thin dark brown going grey over 50 but work in a warehouse with a hard hat helmet all day. I am ready to get out of a hair clip but need to shake fluff up sweaty hat hair .
😢 well, I attempted this haircut! Upon trying to trim my ends first, I was doing some point, cutting with the shears and I sliced right into my pinky finger😫 I sliced into it leaving a “V” shape and nearly snipped, the whole V right out of my finger! I sliced it pretty darn good the bleeding just wouldn’t stop. So, a trip to the emergency clinic to get for stitches!😵💫 I think I’ll leave all my hair issues up to the professionals 👍 I do want to point out though that when people cut their own hair, it’s very important to pay attention to the technique and don’t follow other peoples videos as much as getting some professional videos also because you have to cut your hair certain ways they cut over top of the fingers not underneath up on cutting underneath is how I sliced my pinky!😫 ❤ I love your video and your hair looks amazing and thanks for the tutorial. But some people just shouldn’t attempt it on their own and I guess I’m one of those people.🙁
Dear summer, your haircut look amazing on you. I love it😍. Please🙏, what hairpowder (no dry hairschampoo ) can you recommend, if the back of the hair is flat. Sorry for my bad english, i am from Germany.😅
35:35 that is a mistake for wavy and frizzy hair. I struggle with this all the time because I ask not to cut into my hair. Everything you did up to this point is what I want
Such an adorable cut. I agree that the back can look too “poofy” if you don’t cut into it a bit when it’s dry. Your bob looks pretty too. I think you resemble Lindsay Lohan. Beautiful gals. 😊
Just went for a highlight and money pieces for partially salt and pepper hair. Wanted highlights to blend with grey. Walked out with blonde highlights and it refined a whole year of hair growing out and it looked nice. Should I look for someone to correct what has been done? I tried talking to the stylist, but she said she didn’t think I needed the money pieces so she didn’t do them. Color of highlights she thought would look better. I even showed her three pictures. Help???
I would ask for a 0 elevation bob with long layers and soft face framing and point cutting through the back to keep it from getting too boxy but that you want to maintain the most thickness back there. Let them know where you'd like your shorter face frame piece to be as well as how short you'd like it in the back. If you are more thin or receded in the front like myself you need to make it known that the face frame angle may need to be adjusted to keep thickness while creating enough movement. Let me know if you need any other pointers!
I keep getting my hair messed up by hairdressers and so I’m currently at a long bob but with long layers that are a little short and my bottom flicks out. How long does this layer need to be (inches from the bottom) to not cause this flicking out? I’m wondering whether or not to sacrifice another inch so that it lays nicely and doesn’t flick out. 😢
I'm sorry I don't mean to overcomment, but the layers actually look quite short. Do you have an example where you create the same haircut, but the distance between the longer hair underneath and the top section is a little less? Like how you overdirected to top with shears pointing up... instead could you do like a 90 degree lift so that it cuts less of that top layers?
Hi what colours have you got in your hair? I'm thinking having a bob. But my is fine and only a bit down my neck. Hopefully be able to put waves in my hair.x
I wish I had someone like you to cut my hair!
You are the best! I've had a similar cut with a side part...love the wave. I wish I could stop by tomorrow?
I also would love to have that mannequin thick hair! Fabulous tutorial! Your hair is stunning! I learn so many tips from you. Thanks for sharing your expertise! ✂️ 👩🏻🦰

Beautiful!! I loved this masterclass, thank you! I'm not a professional, but i'll try this on my mom's hair!
This is perfect for my hair. Due to wrong dosage of my thyroid meds, my hair thinned considerably. It’s straight too. I wish you were in Texas so I could have you do it

That "slivering" in front is the hardest... but very essential, part of this cut. This is an awesome tutorial. Well done!❤
This is exactly the hairstyle I need!! What should I ask for when going to the salon? I also screenshotted the end results ❤
Thank you for another informative video. You are a treasure. It must be hard sometimes reading the comments that say some pretty rude crap. I apreciate you and the videos you make. Your opinion is vauled.
Thanks for watching and the sweet comment. I ignore the rude ones!
I wish I could have someone like you cut my hair. They have never done it right 😢

Love your new bob and this tutorial. Do bobs work for people who have side parts? How would change what you did in this tutorial for a side part?
I have thin, fine hair which has been in a Bob since the 80’s. I switch back & forth with bangs BUT really it’s the only “style” that makes it seem I have any hair. The dummy has as much hair in one clip as I have on my whole head!
I would have say the same😢
@@mumufourmi34// same. I was just thinking that.
Exactly like me.
Hi Summer,
I understand you live in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. How could I book an appointment w you?
I hear you 😂❤
LOVE this bob & your new bob! 😍
Thanks! I'm feeling it!
So cute, can we do a longer version, will it look equally cute like with shorter hair?
I love how you showed step by step on each side and made me understand how that beautiful haircut came out 😊
I love to watch your video. ❤
YES! Beautiful cut for fine hair! Your new cut looks awesome. Manufacturers of mannequin heads should do some with growth patterns more like real life for those stylists who don't understand fine, thin or high hairline hair and need practice before they get their scissors on someone like me...😳
They do make some with more realistic hair but they are much more expensive.
Love this look! Wish I had more hair on the sides. Thank you Summer for another awesome video!❣️
Мне не нравится ниспадающие пряди на глаза они мешают в работе,постоянно будешь откидывать руками.
LOVE this so much❣️
I appreciate your attention to perfect detail and wish I lived near you.
I appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you liked the detail!
How do you revive the bob after sleeping, please. I really need help and this video has been WONDERFUL. I will ask my hair dresser to watch this ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for putting these videos together. I am a new stylist and I love how detailed you are when creating these beautiful cuts. Love your energy.
Btw what size of shears would you recommend for most styles. Thank you.
Glad you like them!

Thank you
I really love it I think you did better explaining Bob cut that I learned from school this best one.
This is going to be done many times over it’s cute for many of us ladies and little girls as well ❤

This is so on point and it looks great! Trending and healthy
Love it!!! Could you do a tutorial on how to get your beautiful waves?
Oh my! I forgot to link the video 🙃. Will do that now!
@@StylesBySummerThank you. Love your cut! This looks like more wave than curl. Could you demo this wave look? 😊

Very good cut and explanation . I already suscribed it right now.. Thanks a lot!!

I cut my hair in the 60’s myself using this method. The only difference was it was much shorter!!
Fun!!
Me encanta como corta el pelo y con mucha facilidad y gracia
