Thx bro. Worked for me on bf2042 with an 3080. Game was stuttering sometimes at the beginning and once this error accured. Now it runs smooth as it should

[SOLVED!] If you are getting these DirectX "Hung" and "Failed" Errors and you are running overclocked NVIDIA GPU(s), it maybe because some games are sensitive to overclocking (It was with me and BF4 and/or bad new driver update). Turning off the overclocking solved it for me.
If you're not comfortable with messing around manually with overclock settings, just open your NVIDIA Control Panel. Mouse over the "Help" tab at the top. You should see a dropdown list popup. You should see "Debug Mode" in that list. Turn it on and hopefully that should solve the game Freezing Errors. What this does is it automatically sets your GPU(s) to the base clock speed if you have factory overclocked cards (like my GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0).
If you have ATI/Radeon cards I imagine there's a similar solution.

Damn, couldn't find any info on this ANYWHERE and a random youtube comment gives me the solution to the exact issue I had. When playing BF4 (after 2042 hype) it started crashing randomly. Thanks!

@@germ_tb3_gm088 I don't know about BF2042. I've only tested it on BF4 and other games I have that gets the freezes and error message. Turning off OC seems to work on those. What GPU are you using?

It did not work for me :/ Using RTX 3070 and it crash all my games like Diablo 4 and PoE.. any tip to do next? also i have UnsupportedMonitorModesAllowed in HKEY? u do not and its says (standard) where u have Default? is that suppose to be like that?
Tried it but in cod mw remastered shaders (on first run) are not loading at all after that. But there is no error.

HELP. This did not work for me. Before, Bf4 crashed with the error message. Now, when I start the game, my whole system crashes, not just the game.
The debug mode suggestion from the comments also did not work for me.

It didn't work for me :/ my error says: DirectX function "GetdeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED (the video card has been physically removed from the system or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred.) I try varius method but still not working. And not only in battlefield in others games they closed by them self then the error comes out saying that "the game has stop working try to re install it again. In all my games I have problems. But only battlefield show me the DirectX error. I think my GPU just got damege 😭

This only gets rid of the Error message from popping up for me. The game still freeze/crash... Been happening with BF4 mostly when in vehicles/jets. Never happened 3years ago when I was still playing BF4 regularly. Just reinstalled the game and now this is happening. "Device Hung" and "Device Failed" crashes... Same rig with GTX 980 SLI I was using before with no problems. Only other thing I can think of is the Gefore 451.67 came out around the same time this month when I started playing BF4 again and noticed it happening. Could be GeforeGame Ready 451.67 driver causing it?
Same, I thought my HDD was starting to fail at first so i backed up my files and wiped it, nothing. Might I consider just using a little older Geforce driver for this issue or just give up.
@@apersonontheinternet7595 I fixed, well at least found a solution for it anyway. It was my overclocked GPUs. Just reset the GPUs to base clock speed with "Debug" mode under "Help" tab in Nvidia Control Panel. No more Hung/Failed Errors or Crash/Freezes. Not sure if it's the 451.67 that's the bad driver or what cos I was running the same GPUs 4yrs ago and it never happened back then.
Only annoying part about using "Debug" mode is you have to turn it on everytime after reboot before playing.
Have had the same issue with BF4 recently, did this fix stick for you?

Battlefield 2042 have some one here tried this one out? Having crashes whole days long. There is 1000 + "This will work" solutions and I want to be sure before trying to fix whole PC by just following what some one say will work. Seems to be 50/50 and more that this is a problem that only dev team can fix at EA Games or NVIDIA dev team therefore I'm not sure about all those tips you can find..

@@MaartenMMMM it’s now known that it’s 100% a developer problem. We must wait for an update from DICE and they are working on it. But for now: Open NVIDIA controll panel, right top corner you find a ”safe mode” klick on that each time you start PC and it will fix the problem far longer then other uselts tips. I can play a whole day now before crash and that’s better then crashes each game. Try it and it should work for you.

this is an easy fix turn off shaders in the game such as cod like advanced warfare MW4 and other games turn off shaders in settings it fix everything found out by myself bc i had this problem and straight away i look in settings for shaders i turn it off and it fix itself instantly
This only removed the error message on NFS Rivals for me, the game still freezes and then I have to turn off my PC manually. Any ideas?

After setting hexadecimal 0, decimal 15 and close it, if you open again TdrLevel, you will find: Hexadecimal f, decimal 15. What´s going on?

I can confirm: THIS IS NOT WORKING FOR BATTLEFIELD 2042!!!! 🚨🚨🚨 Also I played 8-9 hours every day in the Beta version and there was NO PROBLEM at all. This crash was on after I installed a new NVIDIA driver. When I later installed the same driver from earlier this year the game was 100% working hours and days and forward.

i fixed the problem is go to nvidia control panel and set threaded optimization off vsync off and maximun perfomance solved
Threaded optimization off? That should almost certainly be set to "auto" (or "on" if not using any legacy applications). V-sync off and maximum performance might have helped though.
@@TheOriginalJealot i update the problem is bios of GPU and memory of GPU for example if you have 1960 mb of vram the game always crash because some enterprices of GPUS made wrong memory phase . is a GPU problem , i solved that bug updating bios of gpu or change the gaphic card

@Andre Official hey, it's the problem with the graphic drivers. You have to downgrade to specific version.. I'll update this comment when I find it again.
