@All-rc804 100% I have! I have another one of these that's staying petrol, I also have 6 or 7 other petrol 5th scales. One I have collected all bits for just waiting to pull the plug on a taylor big bore. Just not sure which one. 🤔
@RC-Closer1313 its single gear! It seems like that, but I have another one exactly the same, and it's quick! Brushless conversion is on its way. Let's see the difference! Should be a perfect 1/5th rally car once done.
I can't wait to see the ROVAN'S bog standard drive train components disintegrate on the very first run with a high powered 12 or 14S brushless power system 🤣🤣🤣
@ianjohnhorwood2605 Have you had a Rovan? Sorry to burst your bubble, but it looks like you will be waiting sometime to see it disintegrate 🤔 As I have Rovans on the channel running 12s, no problem whatsoever 😊
@jukiranks I have that planned for another LT I have. So the ELT I have that's now 12s I have 45cc version too. This will be getting a big petrol build. I'm collecting parts for it as we speak.
@jukiranks I can't figure it out. The engine doesn't seem to be as powerful as some of the other 36cc I have that are exactly the same rtr. Seems to struggle on the initial pull off. I didn't want to waste money trying to improve this particular one and decided to go brushless. As I have another RF5, that's the same petrol 36cc and pulls way differently.
@@thercstore. An easy thing to do would be make sure your air filter is clean ie not clogged, then rich on the low end needle 1/8th at a time, I know this sounds counter intuitive but it bog on start whether too lean or rich
@jukiranks it's not the fueling 100%. The engine seems to rev up fine no bogging, etc. The only way it can be explained is like the clutch is slipping. I'm currently working on the brushless conversion and took the opportunity to look at the clutch and spring. It all seems fine. I'll keep the engine on the bench and see what I can improve in my spare time. Worst case, keep it for spares. I have another RF5 that's had no issues whatsoever 😂 But my next petrol build is the lt45. I'm still deciding on an engine. Supreme taylor, but I'm not sure to go all the way with the size 71cc 88cc or settle for a 65cc. I want it reliable and know that the 71cc and 88cc will cause issues with the drive train on any platform. It then comes down to, do I really want to sink 4k in to a build or spend 2k and be happy with it. Would it be as quick as a 12s on a 65cc ??? Loads of questions to weight up in my head 🤔 😂😂😂
@rosswalker3284 💯% there's something about a petrol car you can't beat, the noise, drama, and smell of 2 stroke or nitro. I have two of these, so it makes sense as this one is slower to convert it! Not afraid of petrol cars at all. Have many in the collection and many videos of them too. Nitro is cool, and when running right, it is awesome. Just a bit messy at times.
@RC-Closer1313 your right. For some odd reason, the initial torque just ain't there. Once moving, it's all good. But electric conversion is on its way!
@khalid-7653 It's on the cards to do. I have so many rc cars. Trying to keep up gets a little wild! New cars are constantly being added to the collection, too. Bare with me it will be done at some point. Thank you for supporting the channel it's really appreciated!

@@thercstore. sweet. They not the cheapest things to buy tho.
Throw in a gyro to make it less tail happy. Easier than working on the differentials.
@@MCD_OCD That's not a bad shout! Let's see how it goes on the brushless conversion! It's about there now.
@@thercstore. should be a rocket!
@MCD_OCD fingers crossed 🤞🏼 we will find out very, very soon.

You've already done an electric conversion, go all out with a big block Taylor RC monster no electric is matching that.

electric is nowhere near as much fun as petrol and nitro ..and you dont do nitro scared of the fuel i guess
