    My grandfather has an original 1937 farmall f 14 tractor, the same year he was born, hes 84 years old and can still work the homestead just like hes 48 lol, the only thing holding us back from getting him back on it is that we are having timing issues with the after market wico magnito, but as soon as i get that strait he will be on her. Awsome job on the mini me farmall f14 tho, i think its amazing and ingenious

    Outstanding engineering, a ton of patience, and funny too... the little fella waving to the crowd.

    No cnc just manual equipment.The engine block and transmission were fabricated from steel and tig welded and then machined.Gears and shafts were made with an dividing head on a vertical mill.Crankshaft was turned on a lathe with offset centers and then ground.

    Dennis, I fly giant scale warbirds and I now want a tractor!!! I just bought a 1935 F-12 this weekend for my 90yr old Dad's Christmas present. With a little TLC I should get a video of him waving to us like the little dude on your tractor. Nice work by the way!!!

    Hello Dennis I know you have been asked a tremendous number of questions as I have read most of them. I am still wondering beyond the masterful job you did on the tractor itself,could you please comment on the so called robot you have driving the tractor and how you constructed it. Thanks Mitch

      John , I have been interested in machine work all of my life.I was in the HVAC business for 35 years. My father was intrigued by engines and anything mechanical and I guess it rubbed off to me.

    I am actually building a smaller scale f-14 model now and was wondering where you got your tires or how you made them. I was going to make mine on steel but tires would match my full size tractor

    • @lovefor34
      @lovefor34 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Assuming they were molded or cast in some way but just wondering how you went about it

    • @dieselguzzi
      @dieselguzzi  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I made the male mold of the tires with body putty, and then coated the putty tires with 2 part silicone mold liquid, then made a mother mold to hold the putty tire and silicone mold. I then removed the putty tire leaving the female mold. I mounted the mold on a variable drive to spin the whole mold assembly. Then I pored urethane rubber in the spinning mold spinning using a spatula to work the silicone around the inside of the mold as it is spinning ,letting it spin adding and smoothing the rubber out on the inside of the tire watching closely and keep adjusting the speed until it cures enough to hold its shape It gets exciting

    • @lovefor34
      @lovefor34 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dennis Franz thanks for the info,the spinning part is what I haven’t perfected yet every time I’ve tried to cast tires like that it hasn’t filled the mold properly I’m finishing the engine internal now so I got a while before I try casting these tires

    Dennis, You live in Newton? I was Born in Topeka. My parents and sister live in Emporia,
    My Dad is 86 and we had a Little Red Farmall with wide front end, sickle bar mower, center mount scraper blade and a one bottom plow. He would absolutely flip over your projects.
