I love my Farmall M. It’s old and tired but still works great! I’m only 24. I love old iron.

The M was the first tractor I drove back in 1962 at age 11. My uncles sold it in late-1963 for a new Farmall 460.

I have owned 5 H Farmall's, and still have one. But I always wanted an M. Never bought one. I learned to drive on a A Farmall.

I plowed many hours on a 1949 M tricycle gear from about age 10-17 back in the 70’s and nothing about it was smooth. Dad then moved up to a 1968 JD 3020 with power steering and 3pt hitch. I still remember the sounds and smells of both tractors. Dad sold the M but still has the JD. Many fond memories.

Those were the days. I’m 61 and wish many days we could revert back to those hard but awesome days.

My Papaw taught me how to drive a Farmall H when I was 10-11 years old. I just pulled a disc at first but I learned how to plow and how to maintain and even work on the tractor when needed. I remember I couldn’t wait to learn to operate it and get out there and work like he did. I can still smell the fresh turned soil.

Very revolutionary for the 1930s. Back during the Great Depression, they really had to show their value for the dollars that nobody had. Very nice video.

My grandpa bought a 44 H brand new on steel then switched it to rubber. No lights, starter, or PTO. Traded it in for a 300 in 1955.

My palpal has an h but it is the type of h that they could turn it into a harvester by turning the gear box around, turning the steering around, the controls to, and to has just the one wheel on the front. Not because one of the tires got bad, it was made like that (look it up, its pretty me me neat). He pulls a 20 bladded john deere disk and he uses it to disk up his gardens. Its a pretty tractor.

Why does the M with the lister only have 1 rear wheel weight on the lefg wheel and nothing on the right? At 5:38.

That was done for traction while using a fur plow but a lot of farmers just left it that way

Planters chain-driven by the tractor axles. What a shitshow. Better stick to straight rows if you want identical population row to row.
