When I stumbled upon this video I thought it was going to be a static model and I was impressed with the detail and then you started talking about engine parts and then I was blown away to hear it was a running machine with all the gears. Excellent work.
How can there be 7 people who aren't thoroughly impressed by this video, by what this man accomplished. This isn't something someone hacked together in a shed somewhere, this is a beautiful half scale reproduction. Maybe those 7 people have never done any kind of fabrication work and design. I've done a little bit of both, enough for me to really appreciate the time, effort and great skills that went into building this tractor. I'm envious, I wish I had this talent and ability.
You Sir are an Amazing man. I cannot believe what i just watched, oh how i wish you were my neighbour the things I could learn. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video your tractor is beautiful.
When you said "it was a challenge from day one" that was THE understatement of this century. I'm not sure NASA said that about putting man on the moon. Absolutely amazing, both you and the tractor.
You need to have extreme patience when doing something like this something I wouldnt have. I'm at a loss for words wow! I have a full scale 1800 diesel I restored. I'm blown away by your creation!
I am lost for words!!! I would not have imagined that anyone could be as gifted, talented and trained as you are!! As some have mentioned I don't know how you got it all done in 4 1/2 years?? Thank you so much for posting this video!
I stumbled upon this video and all I can say is WOW! I'm sure I'm going to sound repetitious to all the other comments, but this is craftsmanship on a whole other level! I wish I had half of your talent. I always thought these Oliver's were great looking tractors. I don't think the average person really understands how much effort it would take to pull this build off. Excellent job Sir!
My dad worked at Oliver /White Farm Equip in Charles City IA from 1954 until it closed. He actually helped dismantle the lathe that he used all those years. I am truly impressed with your work and eye for details. My dad would have been just as impressed. Great Job !
Absolutely amazing. The best custom cars and motorcycles have nothing on your creation, they can build how they like, you duplicated to perfection, I think more dedication required. Thanks for sharing.
There arent even words to describe what you have done here! Im still trying to comprehend the fact that it even sounds like a full size 1655 gas! That is some amazing talent and some super human patients! Did you have to tear a 1655 all the way down to get measurements or did you have access to original prints? Do you have a rough idea of what it is making for horsepower? Just sitting on the stand like that I had a wild brainstorm of wanting to put a little three point finish mower behind it to cut grass until you stepped behind it and i realized just how small half scale is! All I know to say is WOW!
Hi, and thanks for the good compliments. I grew up in my dads Oliver business, working on Olivers every day, so I pretty much know these inside and out. I have a few 1655's of my own, so the reference was not that big of a problem. I did look in the parts books a few times ( it says in there how many teeth are on a certain gear, etc..) The horsepower, I couldn't tell you.
Wow........I'm speechless! I've seem things hand made that I've been impressed by but this is hands down the most amazing creation I've ever seen or heard! I hope you have enough insurance on it, because it's virtually priceless!

I'm in the process of watching the rest of your videos, I'm sure I will be amazed again. After the Oliver video was over, I sat for what seems like 5 minutes, and stared at the screen almost in disbelief. Would love to see some video or stills of the inside of the engine & transmission.
There is a museum in California that did a story about me and some of my projects throughout my life, the story with many photos was just put on the web today. You can view it at www.CraftsmanshipMuseum.com and click " whats new" towards the left of the screen, then my name should appear towards the top of the page
