#4 Jonah Lomu! Proud South African here but he IS the GOAT. Nothing compares to him. If he was around now with all the advancements in training etc, he would single handedly win games for the most part. A force of nature he was! Not only was he immensely quick in acceleration and maintaining top speed, but to be able to move and sidestep at that rate whilst transferring all his weight with each step / direction change, in order to shoulder charge or bounce a defender, is un-fucking-believable. Imagine taking a heavy ass dumbbell and moving it like a feather, that was Jonah Lomu.
The Burgers aren't related, Schalk is South African and Jacques is from Namibia. The Tuilagis are related though. In fact there's 6 Tuilagi brothers that all played rugby and now Henry's son is playing too and he's the biggest of the lot.
Eben is the current Enforcer for South Africa , he's great at pushing people but Bakkies was the OG, Burger too , those boys were hard as nails. Look up Brodie Retallick for probably Eben's biggest rival . But rugby is a game more than just physicality , Look up Wales Rugby for an example of how poetic and fluid it can be .
you can tackle under the waist , but you can't shoulder charge , you have to wrap your arms and actually tackle . Lavini was known to tuck his arm and lead with the shoulder .
Bakkies is a legend for all the right and wrong reasons, an incredible player, but also a walking red card which made him a liability when he get's into fights or go out of his way to injure opponents, he's also Eben's predecessor and role model
There are 3 rules, one- the ball is all of time in play inside the field, you can kick it in front with leg and pass it in the back with hands, two - don't die, three - don't kill someone.
Nah dude you can't tackle above the shoulders and you can tackle below the hips, however if you're diving straight at his knee caps or ankles you have to try wrap your arms around that area, if you just dive shoulder straight without any attempt to wrap your arms around especially when diving at knees and ankles then it's a penalty (foul) and you could get carded which would see you put the game for at least 10 min or the entire game
Number 1, Bakkies Botha is the original enforcer of the South African Springboks. Eben Etzabeth took over that role after Bakkies left.
Original? They've been kicking everyone's ass since 1910
