the fifth king is because each king seems to have slightly less health than a quarter of the total health bar of 'the four kings', you can get way fewer kings theoretically by continuing to attack while they're in their dying amimations, which still damages the overall healthbar

7:45 What you're doing wrong is that you're not supposed to release the arrow as soon as possible, you have to hold it and then release the arrow when she _fully_ leaves her stun animation. You can't stun bosses during a stun animation.
Advice: to easily reach the channeler exit the locked bonfire room in the depths turn right and continue down the stair and through hallway (do not head down the ladder to the left next to the stairs) after entering the hallway turn left and continue until you reach a set of stone stairs, upon reaching the bottom of the stairs immediately turn back toward them, to the right of the stairs is a tight hallway where a soul item should be visible, collect the soul and continue straight ahead (ignore the very tight path to the right that you'll see before the soul) after that also on the right will be a fog wall, through that wall will be the channeler. There will also be three large rats, one midsized rat to the right, and to rats hidden in wooden crates to the left and a large titanite shard hidden at the furthest left side of the room by a pillar

Composite bow early game best bow. It's that for the entire game, actually. So you holding onto for the entire game makes me happy. Because I didnt know how that i could do new londo pre lord vessel so I never got compsite early when I did this.

The trick to stunlock Queelag is givin her a little bit of time to breath. Poise has a little reset time before you can abuse it again

for the queelag stunlock, you have to wait until she's completely unstunned to fire your next shot, the times more than spamming shot 2 but longer than spamming shot 3 on that bow...its tricky but it does work
Not enough people do ds1 runs, I think some kind of a region locked run would be pretty fun to watch love to see what you’d choose
FIY on the Manus trick: It's possible to poison him.
It's normally a footnote since DS1 poison works so slow... but~ if you do the Black Bow trick that way, it saves you a LOT of arrows... and sanity!

if u wanna 1 up this challenge, remove the no glitches/exploits rule. there is a way to get a glitched weapon from the merchant in sens fortress, that has wierd side effects to certain weapons if held in the left hand. like giving bows a (fairly bugged but somewhat working) sword moveset. then u can truely Bow Only the game, no arrows required xD

I tried a challenge run with it and is by far the worst thing ever.
Also, Composite Bow is such a good bow. I swear they made bows bad after DS1 because of it.
darkmoon bow is actually better in lategame but needs much more investment as for it to be good, u need to lvl int instead of dex and optimally use the moonlight arrows so with all the extra grinding, its not worth it really, tho it has more potential

getting the leo ring is supposed to be good for ranger, since all bows, crossbows, and greatbows and their ammunition do thrust damage, apart from maybe moonlight arrows (edit: and probably lightning bolts)? I haven't tried it myself, but I reckon it would be good since you can get them mid jump with your high range

Ayyy, someone new did a bow only run, I've been missing this type of run from people, everyone tends to hate using bows for the entire game and others say it isn't viable, yet honestly its my favorite build type in the souls series! Great work on the run and amazing video, hope you do a bow only in ds2 & ds3 and perhaps even elden ring if you have the chance (though definitely take your time doing the videos and make sure to focus on collage the most!) Love the video ❤ another tip from a seasoned bow build maker - lightning composite bow, lightning bow of pharros or darkmoon bow are the best damage output (black bow of pharros is also stronger then composite bow once you get like 60 dex)
Expanding to ds2 ds3 and Eldenring are all gonna happen.... eventually. Ds2 might make an appearance soon depending on how long the other videos we have planned take.

You can technically do the artorias skip and just shoot him from his arena with the bow. Don't even gotta enter arena can just outright kill him from outside arena and get the soul.

I quite like these videos and so wanna give the bow a go in DS1. Did a run in DS2 and the bow is a BEAST there! DS3 really sucks. I would love to do this with Gwyndolin's Bow mixed with spells. Would be so much fun.

just an fyi fire/chaos infusion bows are a lot better when you also pair them with fire arrows so the damage is less split
To be completely honest, I didn't know that elemental arrows were in ds1

To us if we aren't outright breaking the game (ex: early sens), it's fine. However, we don't like to do stuff like that often if at all. Just wanted to show off a cool trick.
