Another good demo Ben, quick question ... Can you give me any clues or a link to go to on fixing drop outs in second review editing in Shotcut. From one of your previous videos I edited and produced 7 chapters and transitioned them into a final one hour video but then I found I had to edit that final video. In the process some of the initial chapter edits in both audio and video became disjointed and lost frames. Cheers G
That happens when you move the source files from the chapters. Before you do the final video, open the individual chapters to make sure all the files are still there and playing correctly. Ultimately, if it still doesn't work, just render each chapter as an MP4 then put them together either on Shotcut or FFMpeg.
Yes Ben have been caught out previously shifting files, so I’m on top of that . The changes happen even with a fully completed chapter after it is rendered into a mp4 video file. I render two or three mp4 files into a single final video and for whatever reason you have to edit the final video . Some but not all as it is random, of the cross fades in the previously completed joined chapter mp4’s drop half of the cross fades in video and audio. Admittedly this video is an hour long and heaps of transitions and cutaways of stills and videos. You either have to go all the way back to the point prior to the joining of the separate mp4s and re edit these mp4s or go with the final video in its disjointed jerky form. With my latest video I have done the later. Just thought you may have come across this in your work. I think the fix is to make sure you don’t edit the final video after you have transitioned the chapter mp4s. Thanks for your comments G
Ben greetings, I wanted to ask you if you know why the filter properties are not appearing Size, Position, Scale, & Rotate in shotcut ? i have New Version 21.03.21

The first keyframe is setting the horizontal all the way to the left. Then go to the very end of the clip and set a keyframe for horizontal to be all the way to the right
Please let me know if you want the subtitles in another language
Hello Ben, Thank you for your tutorial, French subtitles would be well come, I am a bit lazy, any how a big thank from France.
I will make sure French subtitles are always included in the closed captions
I am Polish. It is OK.
Great!
Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language) please.... I don't mind English, but many people in Indonesia used also Shotcut.
Ben you really do come up with some very interesting and creative ways to make videos better. Thanks for sharing
I appreciate that!
You got that right Ben, it was painless :-)
Now go and add shine to everything!
I like that! Thanks Ben!
You bet!
This just added the missing piece to a project I'm working on. Brilliant!
Great! Thank you!
Please make a tutorial on text appearing fron behind objects.
Quick and dirty way of adding shine to your text
Quick question, you know how make a moving subject dark but the background normal or lighted in Shotcut?
On the mask simple shape filter I used, set the operation to add instead of subtract
@@BenEspanto Thank you
thanks for the tip! I used this today in making a video. It basically achieved what I wanted to do so many thanks!
Glad it helped. I'd love for you to subscribe
Peace,
Just what I needed. I'm using a newer version of Shotcut. What I can't figure out is how to speed up the movement of the mask.
You manage that in the keyframes. Experiement with the spacing of each keyframe
@@BenEspanto Thank you sir, I will try that. Only been using Shotcut for less than a year.
Awesome, the simple mask filter, can be used to a lot of cool stuff, thank for another cool video about shotcut
Glad you liked it!
Short and simple video, nice! 👍
Glad you liked it!
Thanks Ben, I am learning one by one from your videos.
Great to hear!
Thank you sir
You're welcome. I'd love for you to subscribe
No audio but understood the content. THANKS from ROME- ITALY
No audio in this one. It was just an experiment I decided to share
@@BenEspanto NICE. THANK YOU AGAIN.

Let me see if I run into anything else
Thank you.
But is it possible to highlight or circle a certain portion of text in animation using shotcut
Yes, by adjusting the size in mask simple shape
Great 😃
Nice and easy!
Super-easy!
Simply brilliant!!! 😄
Thank you! Cheers!
I didn’t realize until like 3/4 of the video that the instructions were in the subtitles, I was over here pausing every 3rd frame
Yup. No worries
Please, explain the process..
Turn on the subtitles

Many times it's still there but you can't see it because it doesn't fit the screen. Can you see it if you scroll down?
@@BenEspanto no ben, I can't see it, but if I select the saturation filter if I can see the custom settings, could you help me please?
I would try to uninstall Shotcut fully and do a full install. See if that works

I'm not understanding how to keyframe the last part so that it actually wipes across.
The first keyframe is setting the horizontal all the way to the left. Then go to the very end of the clip and set a keyframe for horizontal to be all the way to the right
