As a cardist, it's great to see cardistry in the limelight. And who better to teach the artform than the founders themselves, the Buck twins! These guys are and have always been my inspiration. I only wish to be as good as them one day!
@@christophertaylor6079 they definitely did. No one person started card flourishing; different flourishes were created by different people. However, the Buck Twins made it popular with their tutorial DVD's. They even started Cardistry-Con. And that's why they're featured here.
I messaged them a few years back how they've helped me grow with card magic and cardistry and they replied. I have not been playing with my cards for 3 years now because life happened, this video was a nostalgia trip down the memory lane for one of the best hobbies I've had.
I’m so glad this video was made. I personally can’t do any cardistry myself, but I think it’s an amazing skill and talent that deserves more attention. Apple doesn’t even recognize it as a real word, which is disappointing.
"They start together, they separate, and they end together.." I never thought cardistry could get this romantic. If only all relationships could be like this.
I've been practicing for a bit less than a year now and this video 1) makes me pretty confident in the progress I've made so far 2) inspired the crop outta me. So much to learn, and im at a level where I feel I really understand everything here, I just have to practice. Such a dope video, I hope this turns some more people on to cardistry
Intensive cardistry course with Dan and Dave. This levels are interesting, I remember that I began with Sybil and Charlier first, but here it also makes sense how they are organized
I'm just a card magician....and I can do up to level 6 + a few harder levels. And I think having that knowledge is good, especially if I ever want to make the change to cardistry. I'm happy cardistry is finally going mainstream
Come on man It's Buck Brother . I am learning card magic and they are like the best magic duo on Earth . Loved that wired have bring that on there channel. AWESOME 🤣😍😘🤩😍😘
There brothers! My name is Dave (short for Davis) & my brother's name is Dan (short for Daniel but goes by Danny). Our birthdays are consecutive in the very month amid midwinter.
Love the video... just a small note for the beginners at 2:18 the grip of the blue deck is not a dealer's grip but just a straddle grip. The dealer's grip is with the pinky on the long edge of the deck.
During the pandemic i saw a video of someone doing Werm, learned it (took a couple days, i had 0 experience with card rly) and since then I subconsciously do it when im holding a deck of cards in a game, funny i learned level 13 first
Started doing this back in 2008 for a few years. Funny how muscle memory works because I can still do these even if I haven't done it for many years now. However, I've somehow always struggled with that darn Carnahan Fan!
I aced the card shot on the first few tries, simply by paying real close attention to the placement of the card in relation to the fingers, and the entire movement. The only real challenge now is catching the card, which I apparently have a hard time doing.
These tricks are cool to watch! I agree with the levels and its cool how you guys are promoting Cardistry to a wider audience. I tried to do some of these, but my hands are too tiny!
I had these guys' first manual of cuts they devised (called Pasteboard Animations I think) where they taught the Madonna, Sybil and a couple of other cuts. I think they were around 15 or 16 when it was published ( and by "published" , I mean copied on a Xerox machine) and they were already prodigies then. Awesome to see they are still doing it!
i am kinda new (?) to cardistry (like 3 months) yet all i can do is the basic stuff and z grip and charlier cut but somehow i managed to do the worm, card flicking, card spring, and madonna 2 is it normal that im skipping levels? i cant even do the faro or the thumb fan edit: i dont usually do cardistry i mainly do card magic
I tried a few of these and the only cut I achieved was a Paper Cut.
Ayo💀💀
That's one of my favorite flourishes! (That's the name of an actual card flourish..lol)
bruh how man did you get
Same
Nice dude
Dan & Dave teaching cardistry on a mainstream channel like this??? wow we love to see it!!!!

this is so sad... they killed card juggling for all of you ... and what they show is way watered down version of what was standard fair 30 years ago.

I have been doing cardistry for 6 yrs and I still watch every single second of the chalier cut explanation
hahahah yeah i total agree... The cool thing about cardistry is self-expression and it is an amazing finger dexterity training for sleight of hand.

Welcome!
worry about your striker mate
You are a good person.
The clear and precise language is almost as fascinating as the tricks themselves. It’s academic!
I noticed that too! I wonder if the terms were established completely by the twins or if they worked with a team of people.

Pandora is the one cut that I've always dreamt of learning. Never got to it, probably someday, but it's one of the most iconic cardistry routines.
