You explained it very well but i was doing it with you so while you were talking i was sitting right here waiting for you to tell the next move with cards in my hands placed in those weird positions ( yeah it was pain-full holding them like that and waiting for you to speak up the next step )
Agreed - It would be good to have all of the preamble out of the way before you start teaching. I had to try and skip through to you explaining the next step.
Instructions clear! I'm a total noob at cardistry so my hands are still all awkward but I pulled it off just fine, just need more practice to get my hands used to the moves. Thank you for the video!
I hope I can master this before quarantine is over Update 1: I’m doing well, I’ve mastered the first couple of moves Update 2: I can do it consistently up to the upside down pyramid Update 3: I know all the moves
Noah Gring Means you need to keep practicing it ;) You should be able to stay in a certain position for however long you decide. Only then you will truly master the move
You have a talent for teaching difficult things. You're patient and careful explainer, and you don't assume that people know how to do things already. Cheers!
I was literally about to type the same thing I've been trying to learn to do this for a while and watched a couple different videos and they weren't working. Once I watched this I was able to get the basics down in under a half an hour still need to practice and get faster but it's a lot better than when I first started
I love how you are actually being honest about the difficulty. All of the other Sybil cut videos I've seen have said it's very easy and for beginners. Also very great tutorial thanks
I headbutted the screen 5 times during this video, since my hands were stuck in awkward positions while waiting for him to move the %$&* on to the next step
I was so relieved when you said "It's okay to practice" because the other tutorials were too fast and I was pressured. Thank you so much for the easy tutorial
So I am an intermediate magician And I saw this move somewhere and I was searching for it. This is my first video on your channel, heck of a tutorial It was terrific, I can almost do it now and it took me less than a day. Now I just gotta practice. Thank you very much! I don't speak English but I understood your video training and I didn't understand guys who speak my langauge. You explain it in small parts, and that's why everything is so clear!
Great tutorial (albeit a few years old now). I am a slow learner -- took a day or so to get the basic steps Helps me to just think of it as a series of grabs. Pausing at the triangle part actually makes it harder -- grab, pull, fold together...
Bro Fubuki, Your a good teacher man... I learned the entire process in two days. This is the ONLY tutorial that taught me how to do the sibyl cut. You should post more videos because rare teachers like you are Rare. BRO YOUR AWESOME
@Fubuki you need to make more tutorials on card tricks because your a good teacher and some people learn from you easily (especially for beginners.) And nice deck btw (Green dragon back)
Excellent tutorial. Slow, methodical, no mistakes with naming digits used, no showing off which only slows down the learning. I didn't find any of the moves too difficult. I subscribed because you're a good teacher.
No. This won't help - take it from someone else with small hands. The problem is the length and width of the cards, not the height of the stack. All you're doing is making yourself learn the thing twice because after learning it with a half deck, the muscle memory wont be the same as with a full deck, so you're adding on needless hours of relearning muscle memory, and for nothing - since like I said, for small hands, the problem is the length and width of the cards, not the depth of the stack. Bridge cards are are cpl mm thinner than standard poker sized decks. If you REALLY need less cards, a bridge deck is the way to go, not by using fewer cards.
I've been watching this video for about 3 or 4 months trying to get it and today is the day I finally managed to do it and complete it smoothly. Patience is key here but thanks are in order, so thanks very much for your help.
This is the best tutorial I have ever seen on Sybil Cut. I was looking for such video. This guy explains even the difficulties beginners would have while trying to perform. Thank You man...
I'm seeing a lot of negative comments about the pacing so I need to say my piece of mind. You can't make please everyone with your tutorial, but you certainly pleased me. Everyone have their own pace of learning, and while it may for too slow for many people, it was the correct pace for me. I really appreciate you taking your time to carefully explaining it in a way that my dumb brain can comprehend. Thank you.
Took me an hour to get this down but my god it was so satisfying 😍 thank you for this great tutorial! I agree with other commenters that I was stuck waiting for the next move with my hands in weird positions so I dropped cards, but it was super helpful that you always explained which finger should be where and how to tilt things properly. Very simple to follow.
Very nice tutorial, thanks! At first I thought it was too slow-moving, but actually once you start following along it's really helpful to have the move broken down in such detail.
Super great tutorial. Watched and learned a month ago and now that im able to do it i thought id watch again for fun. LOL at the people who say you explain it too slow. You go over every single thing involved, and you have to be able to do it slow in order to do it fast!
Thanks man, this got me started on the Sybil cut.In places it was hard to follow when you paused in a strange position and we had to wait holding the position while you cycled back to get back to that stage, but over two separate sessions I was able to complete the exercise.I understand there are several variations that you kind of edited out, but I thought that was ok,seeing it was a beginner type of video(just right for me)I look forward to any more tuitions from you!
This is the best step by step I've found for the sybil cut. Really thorough and allows me to have time to actually see where things are moving. Great job
I hope you are reading this, your tutorial is outstanding. I am learning this after the 90° false cut so it is getting me good. The only thing bothering me is the 5 second ad in the middle of a difficult finger pose.
Just wanna say thank you Fubuki cuz you’re the one who inspires me to Cardistry and now becuz of this Sybil Cut I’m proud that I’m one of the cardist in the Philippines.
Instructions are very clear. I am a lefty so it is usually very hard for me to transfer the information over so that I can do it properly, but this is very clear and easy to understand so I can do it. Thank you
Practice is a big part of life. I learned this skateboarding growing up. Took my 9 months to kickflip. Spent weeks and weeks not even getting close to a kickflip. When you are constantly met with failure, you are brought to a point where you either buckle down and get serious or you walk away a quitter.
I can not thank you enough. You went thought every step and i was able to learn this cut in a day. You did go a little slow some times and other times you went to fast but other then that thank you!
better if you gave each pack a number and referred to it. "grip this one " while trying to do it , and listen it was hard. Beautiful video, otherwise well explained , and a move that has me and anyone in awe, you do it very well . thank you for the video . i do appreciate it
I’m seven months later, but I agree wholeheartedly! As I watched I was wishing the packs were lettered or numbered, or even outlined with different colors via editing. Great tutorial and I appreciate the encouragement! It was especially nice when you said that dropping all the cards was something that HAD to happen as part of the process.
Thanks for your explanation. I can do the first one already, and I need practice for the second one. I see the video many times in order to learn. Thanks, again!
This tutorial is absolutely great. Thank you so much! Play it in slo-mo for even greater learning effect. 0.25 works best. The way I see it is that this is a two-part move. Quite complicated, really.

Thank you Fubuki, out of many different TH-cam tutorials this is the one that actually helped. I’m 14 and I just got interested in cardistry, I know this comment is late but I hope you read it and know that you are very helpful, good luck with future endeavors.
Been searching for a tutorial like this for the sybli cut, just perfect but there is one problem. Dont leave me hanging as u explain how you master the move but overall u did great and keep making these brilliant toturial |:^)
Hey big thanks for including that failing really is part of the process - your fingers are used to this weird movement! I am dropping the cards a lot! But every time, it feels a little smoother. Great video! Thanks man
this video explains this complicated trick better than most simple card trick tutorials, thanks! I was able to finish the trick in just an hour which I think is pretty good
That’s really good! I remember that it took me like more than a week to master, also because in some of the old videos it was hard to see. But I’m glad I was able to clearly show and explain the move! :)
I just got into cardistry today. This will be my first cut that I learn. Might take me a while, but I'm determined to do even just this one cut. Thank you for a great tutorial.
I lot of people seem to forget that all the card shuffles and tricks require time and practice like anything difficult. Failing is always a necessity. It's your persistence that determines your success.
damn i cant believe how quick I'm catching on. you are great at teaching very slow teaching no need to speed through every step some youtubers do this and it drives me INSANE!
Why you are not uploading videos since i watched the video (1 year ago)i had a problem. That is " you haven't uploaded a video since 5 years "OMG plz upload one if you have a time

Thank you Fubuki, out of many different TH-cam tutorials this is the one that actually helped. I’m 14 and I just got interested in cardistry, I know this comment is late but I hope you read it and know that you are very helpful, good luck with future endeavors.
Thank you so much

Hey big thanks for including that failing really is part of the process - your fingers are used to this weird movement! I am dropping the cards a lot! But every time, it feels a little smoother. Great video! Thanks man

Best tip for beginners - Use the rubber bands.
what do you mean exactly?
@@TheBreaker94 put rubber bands around the 4 packets so they stay together.
Hmm that is esentially what "trainers" are, right?
@@BusinessWolf1 yep. but rubber bands and some poop cards are much cheaper :) this is where trainers came from, bro..
Your teaching is very helpful. I was able to do this after watching your video. Thank you very much.👍
3:20 I dropped all my cards😂
this video explains this complicated trick better than most simple card trick tutorials, thanks!
I was able to finish the trick in just an hour which I think is pretty good
That’s really good! I remember that it took me like more than a week to master, also because in some of the old videos it was hard to see. But I’m glad I was able to clearly show and explain the move! :)
Just subbed very helpful
I have small hands
U should have more subs

I just got into cardistry today. This will be my first cut that I learn. Might take me a while, but I'm determined to do even just this one cut. Thank you for a great tutorial.
Joshua Jackson Good luck! :)
That is " you haven't uploaded a video since 5 years "OMG plz upload one if you have a time
The instructions are so clear that I got it on my second try. Thanks 🙏 🔥
He’s right on taking it slow, i can only do correctly at a slower pace. Practice!!! 👍🏽✅
Made it to the triangle shape so far. Great video.
What a gift for teaching you have! My main language isn't english and even so I understood perfectly how to do the flourish. Thanks
This was one of the best tutorials for cardistry. Very well done!
Thank you!!
It's like one of the best tutorials I've ever seen. You explained it so good and I could do this Cut in a half hour with no mistakes..
