Really a great lesson. i love the range and this works with every club. wedges are crispy, hybrids are smoked and my driver was controlled
thank you and im following you for all my golf tips. I love going to the range with something to do something to work on. I hate going to the range just to beat balls I tend to leave with a bad a bad taste in my mouth.
I will take this lesson and watch it 5 to 10 times and play it on loop while I’m hitting a bucket of balls.

I'm a late wrist hinger, and just recorded my swing and noticed exactly what you said: with a late hinge, my club falls back. It doesn't look pretty and i cannot wait to take this to the driving range.

Adam... gold medal material. Thanks to you my swing is shorter, has FAR fewer moving parts, and balls rocket straight. Fewer moving body parts is really what most of us hackers need to keep the ball in the grass. Thank you, thank you. 🤟

I don't know if it is just because I'm personally working on this a lot at the moment, but seriously, almost every couple of seconds of this video had a useful phrase that instantly made me see this part of the swing in a new light. Kudos Adam. This was just rapid-fire gold nuggets✨

I’m sure I’ve watched over 1000 TH-cam golf videos and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the takeaway trained like this. I was doing it the way you showed not to do it based off other videos I’ve watched. I just started trying it a bit on the practice net and it seems like this along with keeping a flat lead wrist and maintaining side bend might be what finally helps cure my flip and free up my rotation through impact. Seems like this will simplify things a lot and will hopefully help with consistency. Love this channel, I’ve watched them all the main channels and there has been some really great videos on here lately that are really helping. If I ever hire an online coach you’ll be there first one I consider.

I have learned the proper way to hinge the club on back swing thanks to your instruction! Where do I unhinge my wrists in the downswing or does the centripetal force unhinge them at the bottom of the downswing? I feel like I get more distance but the ball goes left if I actively unhinge while it is straight but shorter if I just let things happen so to speak. Thanks for your great help!!!

  • @FG-gh7wv

You use great visuals and break the swing down in an understandable way. I get in a bad position due to bad set up and takeaway. Thanks so much for your videos! I plan to work on some of the feelings you teach in your great videos.

I really loved Mike’s video on how to hinge the club too. His big tip was to squeeze the pinky finger on your left (lead) hand. That one thought has the made the hinge in my swing quite effortless.

Great video, Adam. I've watched several of your teaching videos and your message is consistent and transferable. Makes a huge difference when I get it right. Quick question . . . in all the videos I've seen you are always teaching with an iron. Do you recommend the same wrist hinge with a driver and fairway metals?

Thanks Adam! This (and your other wrist hinge videos) have been really helpful. The thought/feel that seems to help me is to feel like I'm "blending" the hinge with my takeaway and turn. Until I saw your videos on this I always thought of the hinge as an isolated motion that happened after the takeaway. I see now that was not effective.

  • @alexestes9114

The trail arm or right arm bicep is your key to a shallow of the club
Try this out, put the club in the backswing as he has described in the back swing
    Video
Now take your right bicep an extend it just a bit not to much
Another words move the right wrist from your shoulder.
This shallows the club an extends the lead arm just enough while you have the leverage or lag now swing down.
You don’t have to manipulate the wrist an flatten the club.
The shallow keeps the club in plane just below backswing plane. Keep the club head on path of the plane until under your waist then you can start tipping or releasing the lag you have created.
It is really crucial that the lag you created by the pressure you used with the wrist push down remains constant throughout the swing until rafter contact with the ball.
Same goes with the thumb pads touching at address.
Work on this with small swings a your short game 140 yards an in will get much better!
