  • How to Stay Healthy. Your body has a way of telling you when it’s happy, when it’s sad, or when it desperately needs your attention. And there are certain signs you can’t ignore that, if it’s giving them to you, mean you’d better see a doctor right away. Follow these simple tips to stay healthy and avoid serious diseases.
    TIMESTAMPS

    SUMMARY
    -Discolored and distressed feet can indicate a metabolic problem, such as diabetes. An endocrinologist will check your blood sugar and hormone levels.
    -If hugs feel unpleasantly too tight, it might be a sign of a disease called multiple sclerosis (or MS). If you have unpleasant sensations in your arms and legs, like you’re wearing invisible gloves or shoes, that can be a warning sign too.
    -If you notice your eyebrows becoming naturally thinner without any help from your tweezers, you should see a doctor. This may be one of the symptoms of hypothyroidism, a condition that can lead to feelings of tiredness, constipation, depression, and weight gain.
    -If you have fat or swollen toes, or if your toes look like sausages, talk to a dermatologist and/or a rheumatologist. This symptom might signal psoriatic arthritis, which can result in damaged skin and pain.
    -If you experience a sudden loss of appetite and notice that you’re also losing weight, it may be a symptom of a metabolic disorder. This may be genetic or the result of not getting proper nutrition over an extended period.
    -Itchy spots are often caused by insect bites or mild allergic reactions to a new lotion or a low-quality fabric. If none of these possibilities explain the itch, however, ask your doctor for an examination.
    -If you’re one of those people who always asks to open the windows in public transportation, you have trouble breathing indoors, or you feel claustrophobic at work without a window open, you should have your heart tested to exclude the risk of cardiac failure.
    -If you can’t stand open windows or you’re cold even in the summer, you should get your thyroid checked. Your body might lack iodine, and this deficiency may lead to hypothyroidism.
    -A sudden ignorance of the law and the wish to steal something small, even if you can easily pay for it, may be the first sign of dementia.
    -If you notice your nails changing shape, such as becoming thicker and wider, this may indicate that you have lung or heart problems.

    Wow...thanks for putting this up. My son went to a doctor 2 years ago saying he was feeling a tightness around his stomach and his legs felt like he had run a marathon even upon waking up...the doctor told him "i don't know what it could be" well 2 years later he wakes up w/ practically total vision loss in his left eye, the ophthalmologist sends him to the ER immediately, and whataya know??? They want to test for MS...wow...I had more guidance from your video. Only wish I had seen this before that ignorant, uninterested, "just watching the clock till I decide to go home" doctor. There are GREAT docs out there and we get the Loser Doctor. I wonder if he would have treated his own kid in the same manner. Thanks Bright Side :)

    If you are having loss of appetite, then that could also be a symptom of depression, a possible symptom of anxiety, problems with lack of sleep, medication side effects etc.... I have dealt with loss of appetite before many times and have ended up fine, so you probably shouldn't worry about it too much, just keep in mind how you've been living as of late and how you've been feeling emotionally, as mental health does affect your body too. Stress can also lead to loss of appetite, but also just do see a doctor, as it can never hurt to be cautious.

    I am an RN, don’t forget another underlying cause of itching skin! High bilirubin which indicates something is happening with the liver. It can cause a mild difficult to see yellowing of the skin, depending on a persons underlying skin color and tone, to more noticeable yellowing of eyes and skin. This can definitely lead to dry and itchy skin.

    My only symptom of hypothyroidism was constant tiredness, I was sleeping 10-17 hours a day. Then I got put on too much hormone and went hyperthyroid, which made me constantly have shaky hands, a mild fever, severe anxiety, and insomnia.
    And that's why you should have your blood tested at least every 3 months while trying to figure out your dose.

    Thining eyeBrows could also be from menopause. Some women that have menopause, their eyebrows thining and falls. It's not just from Hypothyroidism.

    • @lisairwin2933
      @lisairwin2933 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Bella Aries thinning eye brows can also be because they have been over plucked or waxed etc you may even notice hair loss on your legs also as shaving and continuous waxing damages the hair follicles, My eyebrows are pencil thin due the era I grew up in 60s & 70s when pencil lined brows were the thing but now they won’t grow back except in patches, a hair here and a hair there so I had mine micro bladed which I do myself with the micro blade needles and semi-permanent ink I bought on eBay and although they are not a bushy looking brow my thin pencil lined brows are complete and look quite natural so yeah it doesn’t always mean you have Hypothyroidism it just means I over plucked my brows and shaved and waxed my legs too much over 40 odd years. But if you are concerned then certainly go see your GP.

    • @keelyharris1081
      @keelyharris1081 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Or you could have naturally thin eyebrows anyway. I'm a redhead, but my brows are such a light blonde that you can hardly see them unless I fill them in with makeup. (I usually don't.)

      Teresa Warrior don’t be ashamed of who you are sweetheart,enjoy your body and rejoice in the changes that maturity brings. The world has gone mad with women worrying about size and things we cannot help like shaving their faces because of peach fuzz, don’t be like them because they could end up growing much darker thicker hair/beards now as hair can grow back thicker once shaved, Men need to shave to bring on hair growth to have a beard,without shaving their beards are patchy and sparse I’m sure these foolish women will regret shaving in the future so don’t ever feel body shame because of what others say. People like you and I should unite and stand tall against this type of discrimination.Everybody SHOULD just except who they are as they are. Wouldn’t life be much nicer? Be happy with what you were given because you are unique and nobody else is like you and that’s a good things, or we are going to all end up looking like clones.

    I actually got diagnosed with Iron Deficiency Anemia and idek why, but there are some reasons like I used to be a vegetarian and I didn't have enough protein and now I eat meat again for protein but not much meat, only chicken and salmon or possibly other meats. Adding on to this explanation my sister pointed out I could have gotten Anemia from not eating enough greens with iron in it. I went to the naturopathic doctor because I was feeling lightheaded and he said I needed iron and other stuff for my lungs and emotions because I didn't have enough oxygen in my blood. I also went to the chiropractic because I was still feeling lightheaded. She said my middle ear's crystals were not in place so she adjusted this part in my neck for my nerves and stuff but it didn't help the lightheadedness. Finally, I found this video online of this doctor giving information about the middle ear and the crystals in it and said it could be vertigo, so she said a couple of excercises to do for vertigo. It worked, and I am still taking my natural medicine. The naturopathic doctor I visited is Doctor Reddig. You can see him in Irvine, CA. He cured me from side pain, cured my sister from anemia as well, and is curing my dad from parasites. My dad already feels better. (: Wow... I can't believe y'all read my whole story XD. Have a nice day!

    I sometimes used to get swellen lips during sleep which stayed for 6-7 hours....along with that i had some bumps randomly in the body, not reddish or having ant opening, just raised skin lasting for about 10hrs....Anti-histamines (cetrizine) helped me to reduce swelling fast....the lips became too much swollen and bulky.....I`m sure it was not insect bite nor due to allergy to any food as I had this problem 4-5 times in period of one year......i suspect it was some infection due to cavity in my tooth as after getting Root canal, this problem never occured afterwards (one year till now)

      Akyrah34 Vigier I sometimes feel really tired for no reason to the point I just want to lay in bad all day. I also have rapid heart rate at random times like if I’m sitting down and just get up and walk. One of my doctors checked my blood and said it’s nothing. I’m fine. It’s really frustrating because I know it’s not normal for a woman my age to feel like that.

      Akyrah34 Vigier I know. The US sucks when it comes to health care. Most people can't afford to see these kinds of doctors especially more than once. Other countries are much smarter and have universal free health care. People here would complain so much about rising taxes so it never gets done. Especially under Trump.
