I do need to go to Khon Kaen one day my friend Tom moved there and loves the place. I think there's a lot to do there and lots of history museums etc from what he's told me.

Hey Chuck, I have several family members that work in the medical industry, but mostly at Khonkaen University. We are in KK now following our quarantine at the first of the year. We are staying at a sister-in-law's empty house right now, but will probably be moving to Loei to a village up in the hills. We are going this weekend to meet with the chief of the village about buying land for our house and to look at a rental property where we are going to stay while we build the house. As we will be coming to KK a lot to visit my wife's rather large family, perhaps sometime we can meet up. I've followed your videos for a while now as we were preparing to move to Thailand. Cheers.

He has been in Thailand for several years so it would disturb me if he hadn't got the hang of it by now. A good driver can adjust within days. I can drive either on the left or right, with the steering wheel on the "wrong side" of the road for the country I'm driving in blind, that's how easy it is after a little while.
I remember the first time I drove a LHD vehicle on the right in Europe, it was a new experience for me but didn't take me long to get used to it. Later, I drove a LHD vehicle on the left in Thailand and that wasn't a difficult adjustment either. Some time following that I drove a RHD vehicle on the right in Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia, again, same deal.
I still prefer driving RHD on the left, but any of the 4 arrangements is easy peasy. Of course it is best to have the steering wheel on the "correct" side for the side of the road you're driving on, but for temporary driving, such as when you're on holidays, it's not a big deal.

Haha, the ‘where are you now?’ thingy has happened so many times with my adult daughter. I just find a good ‘Dad’ spot and get paged when I’m needed. Being outside of Bangkok, you must have some pretty good food markets. I’m usually embarrassed to ask the vendor what the items are. Any chance when you’re bored, you can introduce one near you and a subtitle as to what’s on sale? Keep clear of the need to do the obvious ones like fruit or vegetables. When one take those overnight thai coaches, in the early morning or when the destination is drawing near, the thai coach driver will often click a fast thai string instrument music over the speakers to alert or wake up the passengers it seems.

They’re beautiful gardens at that temple I just did a vid recently on it. There are some fantastic nurseries near there to with big variety of fruit trees.

Chuck when you can not find your wife and family then just install the tracking app on your phones so you just open the app and write the name of the one you want to find by the wife or family member then search for that phone and you can then find them laughs but in all must have the ap installed
Haha the government car sticker is the best. I have a military sticker on my vios from my mother in law who was a colonel in the Thai military. You get pushed through every check point and parking area it is literally a get out of jail free card lol
You can do a share on FindMy app on Iphones where you could find a friend or family with it. I imagine there would be something similar on Android phones.
