Awesome chat guys. Here's hoping it offers a solution for folks that haven't had luck with the current available AP's. It's hard to find the sweet spot without having to negate side effects with even more meds, so I'm curious how folks respond to it. Thanks for the upload!

My son tried it for 5 weeks and had to stop because it made him very nauseated. He did not want to live with that I did feel it was helping his positive symptoms so it’s unfortunate. Good luck to you.

@ thank you. Clozapine is helping a lot currently. It has given him insight that he hasn’t had in three years.

@ I’m so glad to hear that! That is really wonderful for him, and for you as his mother too.

Me too, I think if I weren’t already stable on meds I’d totally try it out.

Hello! Can I ask you please? Do you think you could make a video on how to talk with someone in psychosis but not in an acute crisis? For example when you have an online friend and they are showing signs of psychosis and you still want to talk with each other. I have friends that are sometimes going through some episodes and I don't know how to listen to them, help them and validate their feelings and just talk as normal as possible with them but not harm them.

@@gerberdaisies he somewhat does! He does a lot of service work in the addiction recovery community. He’s actually speaking at an event next week! I really am so proud of him and I think his growth shows in how he talks and carries himself. He’ll have 6 years sober in March.

i take lybalvi which is zyprexa and an appetite suppressant and is outrageously expensive. if I had a child I'd have to let him decide whether or not to take antipsychotics, if he had the disorder. i chose to take them knowing the risk because it was really bad. i still take them at half the dosage though the bad feelings have dissipated at age 54. i would like to not take anything but the lack of sleep still makes me insane. i also take an anti depressant which i believe in. that's all i take and i was once on five meds at a high dose. i don't have akithisia or td.
