Such a freaking catch 22 with antipsychotics- “here, this will help you but it’ll be impossible to stay on it”…

hi Carolynn! this is Levi. i like this video style for your content- i’m really worried how long form content will hold up on everyone’s platforms but i think you’ve got it! you speak eloquently enough to captivate people for more than one minute which is a skill i hope i can also master. thanks for sharing your knowledge!!

hey Carolyn! it's good to see you. I'm glad you are doing well. i was pretty sick but was able to decide on my own to take the medication despite side effects. i just felt so bad and had a lot of symptoms. now I'm better and take very little. i don't often hear people in na meetings talk about moving on from meetings but it does happen, they do move onto other things. one of my first pdocs got me to go to na. and i literally went to thousands meetings but today i just bare knuckle it when the urge arises...

@@WWS322 yeah, there’s definitely life outside of na. I’ve seen a lot of people go on from na & be successful & stay clean. I’m glad you’re one of them!

hello Carolynn! I hope you're doing well. my daughter has been on several drugs also, none actually worked plus gave her TD. Most recently she even tried the new cobenfy and that one did not work either unfortunately... i know you said you dont want to reveal what works for you. i'm so curious though to see if what you're on could work for my daughter.... what letter does it start with? ha!

@@christinehollenshead6201 well, everything I’ve tried has worked they’ve all just given me side effects. If there’s anything on the list I read at 03:40 that she hasn’t tried maybe one of them could work. For me it was just a matter of picking the ones with the least awful side effects. Good luck to her! I hope she finds the right med. TD sucks and I’m sorry she’s had to deal with that.

The doctor told me to watch out for lactation. So glad it never happened. As a pre op trans guy at the time it sounded horrible.
So sorry no-one warned you. It is weird.

@@Readmybumpersticker yeah, SUPER weird. And dang I can’t imagine how much that would suck for you. 😓 Thank god it didn’t happen. I’d hate for it to affect your surgery.
