There's a comic of The Boys, but they made the battle royale video based only on what is shown in Season 1 of The Boys TV series. And that season shows us very little of Black Noir; if Deathbattle analyses the weapons, armor and skills of different combatants, they couldn't include Black Noir if they don't know what his weapons, armor and skills are.

This Battle wasn't dificult as others to find out in just a week all the research was done, because this heroes don't got a multiverse versions and a looooong background and opponents to scale to them the best part was the animation, i wasn't expecting less from Rooster Teeth

Look at the color of the two. Ones yellow other blue. Lets compare this to fire. Blue is hotter then yellow. Thats what they figure probably but i dont know.
The difference is that in the show, the baby’s eyes actually burn through people. Starlight’s don’t. The one time she used them on a person, the person’s body remained in tact. He died from hitting his head on the asphalt road.
@@agentglowstick8704 Agreed, but it would have been prudent for them to actually mention that instead of just saying "Starlight's beams are plasma, which sucks" and "Laser Baby's eye beams are plasma, which can uber-murder everyone on the team" with no other details. Plus, in the fight (and even during the analysis) they show Starlight's beams to be powerful enough to "beam struggle" Laser Baby's. I know the fight is just a visual representation of the sim and all that but this definitely should have been explained.

So, Starlight beats Queen Maeve, Queen Maeve beats A-Train, and A-Train beats Starlight. Butcher wins by cheating and Homelander wins by being Homelander. Got it.

Seems weird to leave out Translucent, Black Noir, and even Stormfront. For a supposed battle royale between The Seven, only four of the potential combatants were featured and one of them was eliminated immediately.
This was before season 2 finished airing, without it theres next to nothing to use for black noir, translucent was barely in it, and storm front wouldn't have appeared yet
There is actually a reason for the lack of Black Noir...Spoiler for the show, potentially:
In the comics, it later turns out that Black Noir is actually a clone of Homelander, who's even stronger then his forebear, meaning he would curbstomp.

Everyone knows that Black Noir wasn’t involved because that’d just be a stomp (at least his comics version).
I think it was because Amazon sponsorsed the video. If they do anything with Noirs character here in terms of power (lose or win), people would think it might be canon. They want him to be a complete mystery until they reveal their version of Noir (which might be similar, or not).

Black Noir won against Homelander in the comics but it didn't seem like an easy fight since he was missing an eye, his left arm was burned down to the bone, and his intestines were hanging out.

Minor spoilers: I'm guessing that Translucent is already dead by this point, but that really wouldn't stop you guys from using him in the fight, nor Lamplighter. Actual Lamplighter, I mean, not the useless zombie version. But I also noticed that Black Noir didn't participate, but the reasons for that could get into major spoiler territory.

I'm a little confused by how they say Starlight's attacks are likely plasma beams which would be lethal to a normal human, but not necessarily a supe; but then immediately justify Butcher's win against Maeve by saying 'well the baby shoots plasma beams, which would kill Maeve.' This seems like a MASSIVE oversight.

I believe Starlights beams can reach the same lvl of the baby.
She just has control over the intensity of her blast. During season 2 at the facility she was shown melting through a fence and burning Hughies wound to stop the bleeding. I think she can control her blast to make them more heat oriented or blunt oriented. I feel if she concentrated her blast same as the baby she would be capable of the same feats. But even still her blast were capable of knocking around Black Noir who’s taking small building explosions like nothing.
So while a baby who doesn’t have control of their powers would go all out and an adult (Starlight) with experience of her power’s would hold back if needed. Not to mention she’s not really a killer and knows what she would doing.
A-Train doesn’t need to be faster than light to dodge light.
Starlight’s attacks might well be going as fast as light.
All A-Train needs to do is see where she’s aiming and move before she fires.

Honestly, I'd be more interested in a battle royale between all of the leaders from the various Digimon anime series once the reboot is over. In particular, I'd love to see the feats of the original Adventure Agumon's forms stacked up against those of the reboot's Agumon because them being from the same species means they can't just use the generic lore from the card games or Digimon Reference Book. Also, I'd like to see what they do with Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode because it doesn't really have any substantial feats, but at the same time, it's still a combination of literally *every* Digimon in the Digital World besides Baguramon and DarkKnightmon.

Yo, but like hold up. You identified Starlight's attacks as plasma beams, and said that they weren't strong enough to hurt supers. But then you go and say the baby's laser are plasma beams and therefore, should be strong enough to cut through most supers.
You understand why this confuses me, right?
Its simular to plasma but not really considering it doesn't really kill it could be plasma but it doesn't have the same feats as laser baby so maybe it could be highly concentrated light that makes a somewhat weaker plasma
Frankly I think they're overselling the baby's heat vision anyway. Not that it's not deadly, but the specific figure, because it has a lot of assumptions and not every plasma attack in fiction is of equal strength or power.
14 gigajoules is a lot. That's equivalent to a 3 tons of tnt, and if you've seen what 3 tons of tnt actually does and have seen the show, then it's a no brainer. Starlight's attacks certainly aren't as powerful as that.
I could see an argument that it could kill Maeve, though, since she hasn't shown a particular resistance to heat.
Starlight’s beams don’t burn through people like the baby’s does. There’s a significant power gap between her beams and the baby’s even without the math.
@@naingmon Nah I dont even think it could cut through Maeve, It couldn't even cut through the wall of the research lab we see it appear in and maeve is way stronger than wall level. I agree it's a lot of assumptions that led to Billy winning and that's on top of assuming A train wouldn't just ram through him in the first 5 seconds of the fight like they did to deep, like why did deep get offed 2 seconds in but they didnt do the same to Billy? lol

@@emilianomerendino3311 True Ea could kill Escanor but when it really counts either Gilgamesh decides that his opponent isn't worth enough to use Ea against them or he gets killed right as he's about to use Ea. Gilgamesh has refused to use Ea several times throughout the series and when fighting against Shiro Emiya he got his arm cut off before using Ea. (Edit: Gilgamesh also likes to monolog before using Ea leaving his open for quite a long time)

How do you explain the baby’s plasma being so strong but you dismissed starlight’s attack as “just plasma”
You called both starlights beams and the babies beams plasma beams, so why is one so much more stronger than the other?
I was thinking this too when I watched it.
Starlights blasts seem to be much more diffuse than laserbabys. She kinda pushes things around, while laserbaby is concentrated enough to cut. Also, laserbabys plasma is blue, implying a much higher energy state than starlights yellow
Because Starlight's blasts never do that much damage, where as laser baby absolutely evicerated a whole roomful of mooks. Plus Starlight's blasts seem much slower.
Still, Starlight and Laser baby are actually shown to be evenly matched in this. Butcher had to get clever to counter Starlight.

Calling both their beams plasma was sus, but Starlight’s were clearly weaker. While Starlight’s blasts knock people over, the baby’s blasts burn through people.

I get that the canon shows Starlight's beams to be weaker, but their explanation was some grade A Handwavium, rather than any actual explanation.

I don't understand how Starlight's beams are weak because they're plasma but the baby's are strong because they're plasma?
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe blue plasma is more badass than yellow plasma? Actually, the color might be a clue. Things that emit light because they're hot, like plasma, give off shorter wavelengths of light the more energetic they are. Blue light has a shorter wavelength than yellow, so the baby's plasma is probably more energetic than Starlight's. Now I kinda wish they had mentioned that.
I think is because her's don't cut through humans and buildings with easy, maybe? Or maybe the baby's are concentrated plasma while her isn't? Idk

Wait what makes Starlight's plasma beams different from the baby's?
The color scheme?
It seems as though Starlight needs an electrical sorce to generate her plasma beams whereas the baby can create his plasma beams either from his own body of out of the electrons in the air itself. I don't mean to sound nerdy but that's why the baby's beams seemed a tiny bit surperior?
Because starlights beams weren't as lethal because when starlight uses her beams sometimes a normal person could survive while the baby instantly decimated whoever it was fired at.
The effect that we've seen them have?
Well,. A train can't move faster than the light, so the density of the plasma was way less in comparison to the plasma in the baby eyes and remember she need suck energy from close sources and that won't make enough energy to make that much Plasma as you probably are thinking, and by the way it is show is more like is actually Brilliant and not plasma usual Bright, so different composition and there is no way a normal human survive that things of plasma, I mean plasma cut bones and steel like butter, make your own conclusions

@Drake Barnes does that mean Genji can resist telekinesis? Kenshi can just rip him apart, slam him into the 4th wall, or overwhelm him with demons and clones. Plus, Kenshi doesn't have projectiles, making Genji's super ability useless.

I'm glad to see Wiz got his arm reattached. I figured after the first time he'd have something planned just in case. I'm glad to see the guys talking freely. It made uncomfortable seeing the guys actually holding back and nervous, sure Boomstick had a few thoughtless moments but even he knew not to push it with Noir.

@Rtkts Except The part where Starlight jas control over her abilities so she would never have a reason to do that whereas the baby doesnt have that kind of control. If youre making a case that they both use plasma then treat it as same or comparable substance, not what best suits your narrative.

What I'm saying it that we don't know if Starlight even emanates plasma at all - that's purely Screwattack headcanon. So when they claim that Starlight uses plasma but can't do anything but stun people whereas another character is busted powerful BECAUSE they fire plasma beams - that's a contradiction and you're fanboying when you don't AT LEAST acknowledge that the wording and reasoning was stupid.
I think the real reason why Starlight's plasma beams are only strong enough to blind or push back someone while the baby's plasma can blast through people is due to quantity in power and energy, which Wiz forgot to calculate and compare the power of Starlight's beams to that of the baby's in the video. Also, Starlight's beams would be more like beams of light powered by electricity rather than beams of plasma

Actually according to the showrunners, Starlight is the most powerful of the seven, although even she herself doesn't know. Her ability to absorb electricity has no limits, so given there's enough electricity around her, she could pulverize whole cities with one energy outbreak. Maybe they should recalculate the maximum power output based on this information.

If Starlight is shooting plasma, shouldn't have a similar power output as the eye beams of the baby? She even was able to hold up an attack against it. So she should be able to slice through supes as well. I'm just pointing out an inconsistency with both the show and the battle. Maybe the comic is different.
It may be because she hasn't yet blasted or sliced things apart as easily as the baby did.
