Still going strong in 2024! Best and easiest to use emulator instructions. I thought I'd never be able to play this game since all the online emulators lagged to shit and I was forever struggling to get the english patch to work on my ROM. I'm not desperate to play it properly on my DS, I'll settle for playing it on my computer if it means I'm not constantly trying to fix bugs and download patches.
For anyone dealing with lagging issues: with the game running, select the configure tab, click emulation settings, and uncheck the "enable advance bus-level timing". Idk what it does but it helped a lot with the lag. It does need to restart the game to apply it, so make sure you do it before the opening scene ends.

I've spent all morning trying to patch the Japanese version using all manners of tutorials, but for some reason, none of them have given me an NDS file or an explanation of what to do with a VCDIFF or patch file. Also, half of the tutorials would make me download something and then tell me to extract x,y or z file which just... didn't exist in the folder, or send me to a website that has since gone down.
Lost story short: it's all been very difficult, and most people who've asked for help online have been very condescending, acting like everyone's a coding pro "^^

Can you text skip in the game? Is there a specific button or alternative configuration that can be used in Desmume cause Im used to having the dialogue appear immediately as it is from the other games

I'm not sure what you're talking about with 0.9.11, because that's the version I used when I played Investigations 2, and I got through the entire game just fine. And I only played it for the first time back in March.

I tried playing on an R4 cartridge but everytime I try to load up the game it keeps telling me "[Rom loading failed] load rom errcode=-4 Please reset system."
I don't know why this keeps happening or if I did anything wrong or not. If anyone knows a fix to this problem, please let me know. Thank you.

I have it downloaded on the computer, however there is a section where you dust for fingerprints and I believe I don't have any button that can blow off the dust. Is there a key or button I'm messing up on or am I suppose to actually download this on my phone?
Does this mean that mic is not compatible with the computer? This is bothering me a bunch as I am approaching the end of the entire game and I find it frustrating not to get over this simple gap of dusting off a finger print.

Yes, you need to have Twilight Menu++ to play it, however I recommend just buying the Investigations Collection as it is the definitive way to play Gyakuten Kenji 2/Prosecutor's Path/Prosecutor's Gambit unless you want the original voicelines and names but I still recommend buying it to at least support Capcom.
How powerful should the computer be to run the game?
just enough to run a Ds emulator, sorry if this sounds dumb D:
DS Emulation is fairly taxing on your CPU. A decent Core i5 Gen 4 or higher should be up to the task.

Most computers with strong processors still do not run DS games at 100% speed, so I would recommend Drastic.

Google Drive does that, as anything above 25 MBs I believe won't be scanned for viruses. But I absolutely promise there are no viruses in the link I sent
