Glad it helped! If you're just starting out one wedge shaped bag that can act as front support off of props or rear support from the prone is all you need (Armageddon Gear Shmedium Heavy Fill would be my first choice and the MDT Peanut with Glass Fill is new and a close second). If your squad mates are more experienced competitors they will probably have a variety of bags and should be more than willing to let you borrow it for a stage. It's a great way to try before you buy.
I went from a n00b that didn't like bags to having 2 pump pillows, a Grey Ops plate bag, and a Schmedium heavy fill. Didn't buy them all at once, and found most of them used.
Great overview. I also use the Grey Ops plate with the flat bag. I had trouble with the little angles detaching during use. I flipped them the opposite direction which helped, but ultimately took them off and just use the velcro now to avoid the bag coming loose when shooting/moving.
I'd look into a wedge shaped bag like the Armageddon Gear Game Changer or the MDT Peanut, but choose one with SpexLite fill which is a very light weight plastic bead fill. This makes it way more portable.
Thank you for answering my question I really appreciate it. The 10th was my first match and Spencer let me use his smedium bag it was great. I will likely be picking one of them up unfortunately I had changed the firing pin in my rifle before the match and didn't test afterwards so my rifle did not function at the match and I ended up using my friends bergara b14r witch was great shooting rifle and for my next few matches I will be using his RPR but he uses arca rail on that rifle so I have to see if I can use my mlok bipod of my 6.5 rifle for the nrl22 matches. Anyway I appreciate all the information you have put out and also from other people comments
It's something I picked up at Costco a few years back, but I don't think it's made anymore. It's this model: 2-Piece Workbench Set By: Whalen Model Number: WSCSC6172WB Item Number: 1600257
My Spuhr mount is higher than normal because it is the quick detach version. That way I can move my best scope around to different rifles. I like it a lot, but the quick detach levers can get in the way of some accessories so I've had to get creative with some of my gear that is mounted to the scope mount (data card, level, etc.).
Sometimes clubs have swap meets. Otherwise you might look at the usual sites like Craigslist/OfferUp/eBay. Another place to try would be forums that have classified sections.
Dude, as a service conditions shooter moving to PRS and knowing nothing this was a great video. Thank you for this.

Thank you. I saw the Armageddon bag; it looked good, probably what I will get with the light fill.
That was fantastic! Thank you for the demo of all the bags!
You bet!
Great reminder to verify the balance point of your rifle lines up with the center of your go-to positional bag.
Thanks! I think that matching a bag to your rifle is often overlooked so I made sure to point it out.

It definitely is a rabbit hole to go down, but it has become a necessary part of the sport.
Thank you sir made my mind up on two of the bags I’ve been juggling on getting
Glad I could help. What do you plan on getting?
Just in the market for a new one - great timing!
Nice! I hope the discussion was informative.

Great idea!
I do thermal shooting and am looking for a bag to more securely protect my chassis on my 8.6 BLK. Run and gun sort of.

I've been meaning to make this video for a while and there was great demand for a bag overview so I finally got around to making it. I hope it helps!

How do youblike the high mount spuhr
