And this is why i quit watching 1/4 the way through campaign 2. The show started out as a handful of friends playing D&D and just having cameras around capturing all the antics, and now it's turned into this . Ever since campaign 2 its felt like it's more about performing for the audience than just having fun and playing a game with friends. And I'm sure it's still good and entertaining, and obviously it's wildly popular, but it's just not why I started watching it so it's just really not for me anymore
I'm sure "smaller" tabletop channels outthere that don't necessarily play 5th edition but you should check out what they released as far as darington press goes or their entirely in studio created system called candela obsura not for the gameplay but for the system itself to see if it interests you or someone you know.
