  • This video is about NIO ET7 range test under extreme hot summer day on highway. The day we conducted test is reached to 44°C (111.2°F), so it will be huge challenge for ET7. The electricities consumption of AC and battery thermal management will be huge at high temperature.
In order to do this test on a more fair way, so we randomly got the battery swapped to the old one at NIO power swap station.

Hey guys, forgot to mention the average speed on the video! This test is about highway range test as the city road driving distance was only 6kms.
We can work out from the video:
13: 31 PM arrived at Yiqiao toll station, Odometer: 3,316 kms
15: 01PM arrived at Dongyang service station, Odometer: 3,450 kms
So we’ve driven 134 kms for 1 hour and 30 mins (1.5 hours).
13: 54 PM leaving Dongyang service station, Odometer: 3,450 kms
15: 13 PM getting off the highway, Odometer: 3,561 kms
So we’ve driven 110 kms for 1 hour and 19 mins (1.32 hours).
Therefore, the total trip on highway is 244 kms for 2.82 hours
Then, we can work out the average speed on highway is 86.52 km/h.
One thing need to be noticed that we cannot drive all the time by following the speed limits there as there are alway low speed vehicles ahead.
    Hope you guys enjoy it!

I really like your review on these chinese evs! So I wanted to ask, what you next project is going to be. I would suggest a few cars that I think could be very interesting in the future.
    1. If you get a Xpeng G9 in November or later would be massive. That car has very sophisticated charging and autonmous driving technology.
    2. Byd Seal/ Atto 4 could be very helpful for your channel, because of Australian attention. Looks very sporty and is a Model 3 competitor.
    3. Avatr 011 is a NIO ES7 competitor with a very aggressive design.
4.Shenlan Sl03 or Changan C385 is like a cheaper Model 3 with extremely high energy efficiency. Maybe even less energy consumption than the Tesla Model 3.
5.Leapmotor C01 is also a very long sedan like the NIO ET7, but lower price
    6. Nezha S, Feifan Auto R7 full electric version Aito M5e are all candidates for your reviews of higher end EVs in China!

This is so messed, why couldn’t you just start from your house with a full charge and a back up car.
NEDC range is the most obscure and inaccurate estimate out of all testing cycles.
This test is unfathomably biased and unscientific.
