If you want to dig iron, then don't ignore the low tones. It's not difficult. 🤣 Get rid of BC as well. Does the triple score have pitch tones? If so that's what I use in those situations with my legend. I just did the stronger tones since they'll be more significant sized objects or higher conductive targets. Regardless of the numbers.
Good topic Liam! I personally would like to see an iron filter update for the Legend/Triple Score that lowers the scale by a couple of points for those who like to hunt into and on the edge of iron. I think peeps would appreciate a video of you demonstrating the current iron filter settings in different scenarios, which tests the setting too its maximum capability. From using the Legend, I believe there’s definitely an iron bias which extends beyond the user settings.
@@HistoryRevisiteduk I agree with you entirely that the iron bias setting should be fully customisable to the detectorists preferred setting. I find even with the Legend set to zero, it still seems to have an inbuilt iron bias that precedes what is supposed be a nil zero setting. Myself, I like to hunt into the iron searching for intermingled non-ferrous targets. A lower iron bias setting should theoretically allow the intermingled ferrous and non-ferrous items to be classed as a good sounding non-ferrous target. So, having the option to lower the iron bias setting completely (fully open) would allow the user to decide how much hedging the bets on intermingled targets they want to risk. You make some really good videos, which discuss detecting topics not-touched-upon by other TH-cam channels. Thanks for being a maverick with the gonads to speak your mind when something isn’t quite right!
The Tesoro Pantera Will dig 0 Iron So far I never seen a detector like that It has 0 separation But no flat iron no rusty iron no bottlecaps Nokta needs a iron filter level 20 to be at Tesoro pantera Level on Iron
Because sim multi can emit many frequencies at the same time , IF is like a ratio of both items , so different conductors like silver and iron, then a metal detector can down average , where the true ID of a good target can be dragged down by the iron
Those beaches are a tough gig with impacted pebbles n rocks ... I tend to take a geologist hammer out as the pointy end picks the rocks apart... The score looks ok to be fair
I think its already getting to be like a Legend... I think they should leave it as it is as a high end beginer detector and let the people who want to tweek it like a legend buy a legend.

Yes I know , but that’s not the point 🤣 if iron bias fully open on any detector I should be digging false positives
I've been using a patio scraper / weeding knife when detecting on that kind of ground. It makes it much easier. Thanks for the video.
That’s definitely some “out of the box”retrieval utensils

All the manufacturers don’t seem to like opening iron bias up too much , I feel it should be wide open and then we can close it to the level we want

Should have came down to ayr beech Liam and we could have had a catch up 👍
I’ll be back there in a few weeks , missing place already
@@HistoryRevisiteduk would definitely like a catch up Liam and show you my home town 👍
Hi. A smaller coil was perfect for that area. Recovery to the fullest helps a lot
💯 %
Thanks for vid.
The Tesoro Pantera
Will dig 0 Iron
So far I never seen a detector like that
It has 0 separation
But no flat iron no rusty iron no bottlecaps
Nokta needs a iron filter level 20 to be at Tesoro pantera Level on Iron
Jesus that thing was screaming gold ring, what a stinker 🤣
Bum twitch ring thing 😳😂
Liam. I just updated to 1.17. What's happened to IF, BC ST under recovery speed, all I have is GS and DT. Is yours the same ?
Not done the update yet.
But have you gone into single frequency mode as IF won’t be an option in single F

Cracking idea ⛏️ 🧑🦯
Didn't the latest update give the iron filter a 0 ?
For the legend yes. He's running bottle cap at 3 though which is going to eliminate a lot of iron.
Hopefully they will bring 0 to the triple score then , as it is the same platform, watch this space 😉
Dobrá práce 👍👍👍
Thank you

Good shout 🧑🦯
I like to run IF 8 BC 1 so I eliminate all big round iron
