To everyone who participates in this, don't swim in a sea of red (when you see everybody's brake lights on in all lanes, slow down to the traffic speed until you can see the next cuts), sean is a great driver but he made the mistake of continuing to change lanes faster than the speed of the already slowing traffic. In professional racing, tap, bump or scrap will not be penalized as long as the vehicle hit does not deviate from it's direction of travel. If the car hit deviates either swerves/fishtails, knocked off line, etc, it will result in the offending driver receiving a penalty. I like to use the motorsport example for incidents on the street like this especially when people are simulating a motorsport event on the public road.

happy youre safe man, but a tip I learned very early into driving and cutting up is make your own cuts even if you're swimming. its fine to take the same cuts but know when not to and take your own. it kinda seems as if you let them lead and you find behind a little tunnel visoned on keeping up with them. sometimes it just isn't worth it man and you'll have the chance to catch up with them later if its your boys. glad you and everyone's safe
Coulda been worse, but this is why I always look ahead for red. Keeping up is secondary because I can always recover lost ground. But any time I look ahead and see red, you gotta recognize it's not the time to make any fast cuts unless you can make it while braking.

ngl everyone seemed more concerned with making tight cuts and trying to get ahead of one another. like someone else said, if theres a lot of traffic and/or ppl in the group is cutting up with their hazards or no signals then just fall back a lil. you all got performance cars so catching back up isn't an issue.

be careful of construction zones, traffic is always much slower there. The one time i always got smacked from the back (someone was tailgating me) was in a construction zone, the traffic suddenly slowed down by a lot and i saw the guy barely slowing down in his camry from my mirror, so i dodged to the left lane that was closed and separated by cones to avoid getting rear ended. I hit a small cone but no damage on my bumper and got lucky for not getting rear ended by the camry, but it was hella close
