Yeah animation reminds me of tiny tunes and Animaniacs is animation… It could be from the same animators or someone new who picked up on said animation style
Believe it or not, I actually seen this exact same animation style before. there’s a few episodes of Animaniacs that had this animation style. Just watch a few Slappy squirrel cartoons & you’ll see what I mean.
I didn't realise it as a child but "Fat Cats" is also term for wealthy and powerful people. Which makes sense as this cartoon related to money and get rich quick schemes
@@HardrightBiBitch To counter your claim, a lot of the shows on Cartoon Cartoon Fridays were geared toward that exact demographic. (Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls, Cow and Chicken, Courage the Cowardly Dog). Fat Cats would have fit in just fine.
The animation is awesome here! Some What A Cartoons had very simplified animation, designed to make the job as easy as possible, but this has excellent quality animation. This would make a snazzy series if the Fat Cats tried different careers each episode, but I'm pretty sure it would bore the kids quickly - they wanted action, gags, funny stuff and this stuff here adults tend to relate more :)
The President: *High pitched after getting touched in the crotch* No problem. This and the fact that a bell rung really showed what cartoons could get away with at the time.
"We're rich!" BOOOOOM! "We're poor!" LOL! This is one of my favorite WPT's. Mein sister mentioned that Louie reminded her a bit of Ralph Kramden (look it up if you don't know who that is). Wonder if that's what they were going for?
EEEEEEEEELLLLLLLMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! You shredded the President's suit! It's five minutes till five! He's gonna be here any minute! We'll fail the country! WE'LL BE RUINED!!!!
Apparently Mina and the Count ended up on Nickelodeon several years later. Yeah, I didn't know about it either. Ironically, Phish and Chip and Gramps were Butch Hartman creations.
One of the many important parts of Cartoon Network's history. I mean really, somebody should find a way to release these old shorts and even the commercial bumpers I think on DVD.
Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls, Cow and Chicken, and Courage were excellent choices to be picked up for original series. But I seriously wished they had picked up this one too. Same for Yoink of the Yukon.
They do say good things do come from bad so maybe every thing turned out alright, as the old saying goes "if at first you do not succeed try again" unless there is really no hope.
This cartoon is over 20 years and the quality and how it's fluent in animation is simply gorgeous.
Oh my God! I remember the first time that I watch this cartoon in my childhood! I forgot about this cartoon. I miss the 90s.
yup it looks like it just came out
Yeah animation reminds me of tiny tunes and Animaniacs is animation… It could be from the same animators or someone new who picked up on said animation style
space goofs has more fluent animation (just saying)
It’s not surprising. Animation reached its peak in the 90s-2000s. Current cartoons on the other hand tend to have extremely lazy calarty animation
Another fine work by StarToons!
I also love that bit near the end: "We're rich!" *BOOOOOOOM!!!* "We're poor!"
They worked on tiny toons and animaniacs correct? I recognize the animation.
@@berniekatzroy , yep! And they did the "Dudley the Dinosaur" PSAs as well.
@@ZakWolf yes i member those! Whatever happened to startoons?
@@berniekatzroy they shutdown in 2001.
“We’re rich!”
*explosion*
“We’re poor!”
Didn’t realize how much this kind of comedy influenced my own comedy now. This the type of stuff I say now.
The "Elmo" yell is epic!
ELMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Even after all this time, that joke of Elmo with the cow still cracks me up.
Nothing some good old fashioned dark humor
EEELLLMMMOOO!!! (roof is lifted off the walls)
Fun fact: this is the cartoon that taught me what 'meat' actually was.
Mickey & Elmo
EEELLLMMMOOO ! ( roof is lifted off the wall )
They need to bring these retro cartoons back and keep the good modern cartoons
This was one of my favorite World Premiere Toons. Too bad the creators never received a contract for creating a season or two for Louie and Elmo!
I would've loved for the fat cats to have a cartoon series. They did it for Cow and Chicken and Courage the cowardly dog and the Powerpuff girls.
@@marcustrice3246let's not forget Dexter Labortory and Johnny Bravo.
This has better quality and animation than modern cartoons XD
Jon McClenahan needs to do more animation to counter balance the crap we get now.
Ok boomer

To be honest...this had potential...it looked cool
I like that Elmo uses the conveyor to open a slaughterhouse. You can argue that he is quit an entrepreneur!
I wish this was one of the original shorts to be picked up as a series. It had so much potential.
Yeah I agree big time
I agree 👍

This is why you don't hire relatives.
The president seen in this episode is Bill Clinton, who was president between 1993 - 2001.
I wish this pilot had taken off. Loved it as a kid

I think it's so funny Elmo fucks up by accidentally butchering a cow instead of dry cleaning. I mean being a butcher takes skill lmao.

Louie and Elmo resemble a lot respectively Eddy and Ed from Ed, Edd and Eddy
Yep
Louie, the only US citizen to have nutchecked the president
