I've had the S1R since shortly after your review of it. Without a doubt the most dependable and useful piece of gear I own. I work in a steel foundry and have used it there every day since it arrived. The sand and the dust have ruined every light I've tried. This light still performs like new. It goes everywhere I go and is flawless. Not 1 glitch, ever. Tha S2R is on my short list right now. I have an expensive name brand 18650 light right now that I've had nothing but trouble with that it will replace. The manufacturing quality of Olights products far exceeds anything else I've ever owned or used. I would like to give you my thanks for having led me to the most useful piece of gear I've ever owned and look forward to being able to put my 18650 batteries back to use again. I would like to add too that this is a very small profile for an 18650. Maybe the smallest?
I’ve always been a Surefire fanboy (and still use them on my duty guns), but for everything else, I’ve made the switch to Olight. The magnetic charger is super convenient for hiking since I don’t need to carry a backup battery. You just gotta be patient and wait for their sales to pop up. 👍
Forgot to take this out of my light pocket on my trousers before climbing under my truck. I felt what seemed like pain from the area where the light was but thought it was because I was putting weight on it. When I got back up, I noticed the light was on. It had turned on when I leaned on it and stayed on long enough to actually burn a hole in my pants and leave a burn mark on my hip. Seems like a major downside for this light. Good thing I wasn't wearing flamable pants!
I would really love to pick up that light but im unfortunately going to miss the flash sale due to work. one day ill make one of o-lights wonderful flash sales.

Sounds like it's in lockout mode. Hold the power button down for two seconds or so and it should come back on. The turn on lockout mode, do the same thing from a powered off state until it enteres moonlight mode and continue to hold until the light turns off.
I have a Thrunite TN12 (2016) as part of my EDC and I was somewhat disappointed when the tail switch died less than a year after purchase. I was able to fix it by disassembling it and bending the contacts so that they made better, um, contact, but I saw this as a pretty serious design flaw straight from the factory. How robust is the switch on this torch, and is it easy disassemble if a similar repair becomes necessary? (I know this one's not a tail switch, just curious since flashlights of this type these days are way more mechanically complicated than the old 4-D cell Maglights we used to have back in the day). Love your vids man, and thanks for the giveaway, though I think I might just roll the dice and buy one anyway for my dad; he's a huge flashlight nerd (like me). ;)
Michael Cohen- I also have several thrunite flashlights TN 12, T10 and the T20 headlamp. While I do like the thrunite brand I have seen things like you on some of there lights. My T 10 tail cap switch was iffy. But when going to the O light brand I will say that you are stepping up to a different level of quality. You will definitely like these lights if you don't mind paying a little extra. The O light brand is top notch!
I really liked your review of the Olight S2R Baton light, Im a security officer 3rd shift, that light would be great for me while I’m doing my patrols especially on the backside of the property where lighting is very bad, plus you could use it with your S&W 9mm as a good spot light when needed. FYI: The double-sided clip is designed to clip onto the brim of your hat facing forward to make the flashlight a headlamp.

Nice! Like you said it would be good for the winter. I use the Nitecore nu25 headlamp, but in the winter I'll use my old larger headlamp.
