My daughter had just turned 5 when this concert occurred. She’ll be 16 this year and Buddy Guy is her favorite Blues Artist
How can you not like Buddy Guy? Even if you don't like the blues, or the electric guitar - his outsized personality, his charisma, and his enthusiasm permeate every performance - how can you fail to be impressed by that?
We love Buddy Guy. I will tell you something that We did not like. We saw Buddy twice live in concert at Laughlin Nevada. Both times he used the F work so many times it was like Come on dude relax and play for us.We don't want to hear how you f-ing don't like playing for us? Second song he sang he said. HE SAID ." I can play for you all night long. You all our so great"well ? He played 50 minutes both concerts. That is unacceptable in my book. My friend told us. " He is like 70+ years old ". What do you expect? Well I expect at least an hour? Do not you all think that? Concert started 7 PM. Ended 7:45? It was like now what can I do for the night. Hang out with all the old woman and men gamblers at the casino? Led Zep played over 3 hours when I saw them in 1975. 50 minutes? ": WHY DID I PAY FOR THIS"? 3 times I saw Johnny Winters and so many blues gentleman they all played over 2 hours. Robert Cray played 2 hours both times . Clapton the same. This guy seems to be " TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN AND F YOU?" I am confused? Respond with you thoughts please Respond live the blues and R&R.
@@seabreeze2792 you think it would be at every concert of him?
Thinking to go to Prague in the middle of July 2023
But 240¢ + fuel 160€ für 45min. it's a bit to much.
But it's the only chance to see him playing.
I discovered Buddy because of SRV who I unfortunately never saw but I did see Buddy Guy at the Experience Hendrix concert in Catoosa Oklahoma aka Hard Rock Cafe Buddy was the headliner it was a solid 3 and half hours of Jimi Hendrix music with many current still valid hot shot guitarist and singers
@@seabreeze2792 your wife expected you to last an hour too and we all know how that went… bitch
I've seen Buddy so many times over the years , Memphis a bunch , casinos @Tunics and Nashville and he gets better every year. Long live one of the best bluesman all ti.e.
After about 15 minutes of watching Buddy, I'm in mellow, stoned groove. Just like him. Simply from virtual contact over you tube. I haven't had a drop to drink, nothing to smoke or snort or rub into my belly button and I feel like a billion bucks !
I have seen Buddy twice. The first Time was in Seattle on the waterfront. He came out into the audience right by me and the energy almost knocked me over. A true preacher of the blues, 🙏 The one and only. Plug it in and turn every thing all the way up!
Did the same in Vancouver Canada sat next to me n ripped off links for a good minute
I used to play with Buddy in the early 80's between 20 and 24 years old He was a tremendous influence on me and apparently I was on him. I was a prog rocker that mixed classical. jazz. blues, and rock. He said that was all above him and I played a tune on the keyboards he said that's the blues with a whole lot mixed in I said play along and he was superb and melted right in. at 22 I formed my band that has gone on for nearly forty years. There he met my guitarist and laughed his arse off and said she has to be good. She was a 13 year old British girl and Buddy loved her. My band played a Chicago festival and I had Buddy come with as part of the band. Buddy started playing a cover of Hendrix, "Red house" Little Janey played whole lot of love by Zepplin it was chaos, we went off our set list. We said this is fun. Years later in the 2000's Buddy played near me so I took my wife to this theater Buddy played his hits and said you have heard this on the albums and he started playing other peoples hits and said F @CK IT. Buddy and I haven't talked in years, He went off stage with his wireless and my wife said where did he go? I said probably taking a leak I look behind me and Buddy was on the balcony and he walked up to the front row and said Bill? he knew I could play guitar so he strapped it on me, I played a little and handed it back to him he said follow me to the stage. He announced me as his old friend he has not seen in a very long time and said remember this one and broke out in one of my originals as I played keyboards He said this guy thinks the keyboards is the lead instrument so get the F@ck off my stage, I took a bow and went back to my seat I went back stage and he said I saw you front row in the balcony To this day I still don't know if he really did. I think he did. But that is the amazing thing about Buddy, he is so intelligent you have no idea where he will come at you
Heart and soul.
Amazing story , one for the grandkids! Thank you 4 sharing.
Beautiful story 👊🏿🖤
11:20 Amazing. I saw Buddy in Vt in 1994.

Opened this for some background music. Couldn't take my eyes of the magic. Damn.
I just saw him last night. 85 years old and still touring. Amazing.
Buddy is a legend but look at this dude on the keys! Everyone killed it in this performance. Buddy’s stage presence and feel is sick. What a trip. Thanks for sharing this with us!
I never heard of Buddy Guy until yesterday. What an incredible artist.

Thank you!!!
This is SUCH A TREAT!!! Thanks for posting. How can anyone give this a thumbs down???
Cheers to all who love The Man, Mr. Buddy Guy!!
Those people who give thumbs down for Mr Guy are suffering from racism. Don't worry this man won six grammy awards. Thanks.
You bet! One of the greatsest of blues artists.
@@skimanizationracists are poor dumb sumbitches.

Learned about Buddy Guy not too long ago. Been a fan ever since. I've even convinced some of my friends to listen, and now they're fans too!!!
i can't "like" this enough!!!
What a FANTASTIC performer this man is! Just amazing!
How can you not love the blues when played by one of the blues greats Buddy Guy.
Buddy loves to entertain and connect to his audience!! The concerts I've seen him playing in other countries the audience seems so uptight !! Long live Buddy Guy!!!
Each time I have seen him here in Australia I have to the audience was energised and enthralled at the same time!!

All you can do is shake your head, move your body and hope that the blues just moves all throughout your self so that you rock with it. Yeah, Baby! Go Buddy Guy, you sweet blues man!

Heavenly Father, I pray that You bless everyone with a strong and unwavering faith. Help them to trust in Your promises and to rely on Your strength in all circumstances.
I love Buddy!!! I've known him for years!!! I was at the opening night of Buddy's club, LEDGENS!!!!
8:27 This the kinda blues you can't get on your radio anymore. If you need it, call me. I'll come and bring it. So much swagger from this guy still.
Brett Morin that's because he's Buddy
That's because the radio stations practice segregation
Have seen Buddy 3 times. Once with Quinn. What a privilege! Fun fact Quinn Sullivan plays right handed but signed my CD with his left!
It's a tragedy this guy, this Buddy Guy, isn't celebrated more.
@daniel laurence why do you capitalize the word tragedy like an idiot? Go listen to some gutter rap, it's obviously more your speed.
My wife and I saw him at the Lake Front Arena in New Orleans long ago. He came down off the stage and stood right in front of my wife and me(we were about 8 rows back) and then placed her fingers on the strings plucking his guitar. It was awesome!
I got to see him and the Fox Theater in Spokane in 2018 and I was blown away. Would love to see him at Red Rocks.
Talento e simpatia reunidos em um só. Grande Buddy Guy.
Cant get much better than this
I wish i was there, the guy on the keys kills it so bad, they all do!
I hope to see buddy guy live one day!
Cheers from Portugal
Right out of the gate his guitar is on fire!! What a show! What a performer! 🎸 ✨
So I have loved Buddy guy , I was showing my nephew recorded concerts one evening, and he loved it ,so I knew Buddy asked if he wanted to go. He's never been to a concert
You know you're a legend when you can keep shhhushing the crowd.
In fact, they seem to love being shhhushed.
Awesome!
Saw his band at the Paul Mason winery in Mountain View in the early 1990s. Best show ever.
Terrific amazing sensational ❤❤❤
Buddy Guy, one of the greatest!
saw him live in paris i think 2013! true legend !
The smile , look the smile... did you ever saw someone complete as this.
I LOVE YOU BUDDY FROM ATHENS GREECE
He's insane!!!! @ his age!!!
Великолепно!!!С годами всё лучше и лучше.Нет предела совершенству.
Thats what Im talkin about!!!!! Happy 2021
dynamic, energetic, and full of life💙💙💙
I was at this concert going to see George Thoroughgood. Buddy opened and I didn't know who he was. Buddy shouldn't be opening for anyone! He put on such an amazing show and is an absolute blues legend. Additionally, Thoroughgood couldn't breathe. Buddy, then 76yrs old is walking in the stands and moving like a 20yr old. Legend.
The fact you didn`t know who Buddy was despite him playing with Hendrix demonstrates you know little about that of which you speak with forked tongue and racist view against George. STFU and sit down Waldo.
A Master Guitarist.
ce soir au Montreux Jazz pour la 13 fois - genius du blues
God bless years of you my man Buddy and all wise of our pasts inspiring . Souls solids and God bless you! Forever grateful'
Amo tutta la buona musica e questa è buona musicaaaaa 🎶🎶🎶🎶👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💃💃💃
Great video. Thanks for posting it. Buddy Guy used to walk out into the audience in his early days too. He got that from T-Bone Walker.
Mississippi Blues Travellers He still does at most of his shows that I have caught. Maybe not practical at the Rocks!
He still does.
What an Amazing Entertainer ❤
Sacré scène très beau paysage va y Buddy donne le Blues!!
Love the way he just comes out on stage and "WHAM" he plants a smoking Hot Fender guitar right between your ears! Then after he has your attention........the ride is on! 😳
Como é que é grande Senhor dos blues não precisa de apresentação Grande Buddy guy é um Deus na Guitarra.
best thing ever
🤣🤣🤣🤣🖤🖤🖤🤘🤘. What a performance, I'd love to see him live.
