Hey Jonathan, thanks for this really quick and comprehensive comparison. I have upgraded from the 2014 CX5 to the 2020 Grand Touring which is really a luxury SUV and has great options and style. It drives really smooth and lovely and at the same time really fast reacting on the acceleration. Regards from Raleigh North Carolina
I just upgraded from a 2012 mazda6 i-sport to a 2020 CX-5 grand touring and I absolutely love it. almost got the CX-30 premium but it was too small for my liking.
I love this cuv. Torn between the cx30 and the cx5. Leaning towards the cx30 cuz it's cheaper. The cx30 preferred I believe have the Bose system. Great video. Let us know when the 2021 hit.
Yes the CX-30 preferred does have the Bose. Here’s my review on one if you haven’t seen: m.th-cam.com/video/fh6gRInUmJQ/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching!
James AWD is also included. I like the GT-R because you can still choose the interior color like the Grand Touring. The Signature just has the Caturra.
Hi Jonathan, does the Touring come with the upgraded Bose speakers? I didn't notice Bose listed on Touring or Grand Touring specs but maybe I missed it. Also, does the 17' and 19' wheels from Touring to GT cause the vehicle to noticeably sit a little higher on the GT?
The Bose is optional on Touring with Preferred package, standard on GT. The total wheel/tire diameter is similar because of low profile tires on 19” wheels, so no noticeable height difference.
Hi Jonathan, I need a fuel efficient Mazda. I am interested in the cx 5 GT with AWD. Will it give me a better fuel economy? If yes how many MPG will I get ?
It's obvious, the Sport package is the base model with the lowest features in the Mazda CX5 trims. The Touring has more features than the Sport and the Grand Touring more than the Touring respectively. So the Sport trim has not many features as the other two.
I am getting a cx-5 2020 GT with premium package soon but now I am wondering if I should get the the GT reserve? Can someone explain to me who needs or benefits from a turbo engine? Will it make a big difference in driving and the sporty feel if I don’t have the turbo engine? I will be driving this car every day for hours and live in hilly area but winter is not too bad.
In my opinion the Turbo is really too much power for the CX-5. So it would only be for more fun, not necessary. The GTR also adds AWD which would be nice if you need extra traction.
Jonathan Sewell thank you for replying! I did not get AWD as I don’t think I need it but all the videos on TH-cam about Mazda CX-5 talk about how great the turbo engine is and I felt like I missed out on that but I guess I don’t need that either.
Just bought a certified pre owned 2020 CX-5 grand touring with premium package tonight. It's also AWD. So happy.

Vee904 congratulations! You have a beautiful car!
I’m getting the Grand Touring in August? Do they all come with apple carplay, or did yours?
How about if I buy the base model. I'm upgrading from a 15 year old mazda 6 so the upgrade will be substantial 😅
8:02 The Touring model shown in this video does have the premium package.
I just bought a red 2020 Mazda CX-5 grand touring last night at work I am at Mazda also traded in my 2019 Kia Niro
Congratulations!

so whats the difference is just the name and some standard upgrades . like can you have the 19" inch wheels on the grand touring ?
whats the main difference between a 2020 CX5 GT-Reserve and CX5 GT with premium package? is it worth it to pay an extra $2-3K for the GT-R?
James turbocharged engine in the reserve! It is certainly worth it and the best value in the cx5
James AWD is also included. I like the GT-R because you can still choose the interior color like the Grand Touring. The Signature just has the Caturra.
@@2up2down14 agreed i have the 2019 Gt with premium and i tested the reserve and i really want it
The TORQUE!
Thanks!
You’re welcome!

2019 cx5 touring or 2020 cx5 sport ? and why ? thanks

Where is this
Mitchell Mazda in Enterprise, Alabama

Hello how much for grand touring outdoor ?
The Grand Touring is around $32,000. The Grand Touring Reserve (AWD) is around $36,000.
