Actually for 20:43, that’s tip drag sound. The way that you can do the blade lockup sound is when you hold the button and hit the blade. That’s how you get it to do the lockup effect
@@PinhyDD It’s not a full comparison, but you do get to see the hilt, blade, and electronics for both Disney and the Hasbro on my review of the Rey Scavebger toy. m.th-cam.com/video/Qj-S4Lo6xEs/w-d-xo.html
I've got my Leia hilt through Ultimate Works (via the Pach Store) and it fits the blade like your LGT hilt does, (only it has 3 set screws), but looks like the SaberForge hilt, but has a removable chassis (their Asteria Heart) and has the power button that's clear and 2 optional aux buttons 45 degrees off of the main button, that are hidden as as accent oblongs like what the Disney has near the main button. Overall, good solid review comparing these very different Leia hilts.
@@Fanporium in the config.ini file you are looking for this line it’s about half way down #SWITCH CONTROL SOUND, 0 MEANS OFF,1 MEANS ON. USEFUL FOR HILTS WITHOUT LED LIT SWITCH/BUTTON countdown=1
Yeah, the config on this one only has 4 settings. So I need to find what the next line is on that one, below the comment, in order to add it to mine. I might also need to upgrade the firmware. I tried moving the Leia font to first and defining it with a default blade color and effects. It takes the order and color, but ignores the blade effects settings. So I'm guessing it might be an older firmware.
The nice thing about the Savi's and Legacy sabers is how easy the blade is to attach and remove. I have a P&D and the Cal/Jaro from the PC Collector's edition. The electronics aren't the best but it's fine for swinging around. The hilts are the heavier side. Saberforge is really the only other that attempted an easier to attach with the screw in pixel blades. I read in Reddit saber forum that the blades had a copper thread with the electronics built in. It would get hot then melt the polycarb blade which would snap off. Otherwise most blades use hex screws or thumb screws to hold them in place.
Definitely true! They're easily the most user-friendly to use. Just not the fanciest or prettiest. My Saberforge will be on its way to install in a few weeks, then I'll report back on how well that goes. They're known for mediocre installs and great hilts, so we'll see. And I'm working on a review of the Cal box set that should go up in the next few days. It's absolutely gorgeous and weighs a ton. About 25% heavier than a double Savi's.
@@Fanporium The Saberforges I have are base lits so the pixel issues aren't an issue for me. The Cal/Jaro collector's hilt is heavier than the Savi's. I'm not sure how much heavier but the shrouds are adding to the weight.
It sucks it doesn’t have that belt hook built in the bottom of the grip like the movie. KR sabers did but unfortunately the tan out of that leia saber. I don’t get why they can’t make more😒
I'm not sure hat you mean. All four of these have the D-ring on the bottom that you can use to clip it to your belt. KR is a pretty small company, so any time/resources/capital they spend on one project is at the expense of another. I suspect they're more focused on rolling out new models. Their stuff is amazing!
I have TXQ ans LGT movie inspired hilts. They arent bad for being a mass produced product from China. Its the inner chassis that really kinda suffer. Cheap plastics I think there are pros and cons to each but TXQ seems to have a bit better chassis.

This is the best side by side comparison review I've seen online (of any saber). Well done and thank you!
You are very kind. Thank you!
@@Fanporium you are welcome, just calling it like I see it. Now, how about a Rey Scavenger Saber comparison?! lol

Great vid and great format. Love seeing all the differences on the “same” saber!
Thanks!
Great video! Love the detail in the full comparison 😊

Great comparison video! Thanks!
22:57 open the config file and turn on button sound, it beeps where to would flash
Fantastic advice, thank you! I haven't dug into tinkering with the sound card yet, but this will be at the top of my list! Thanks!!
Do you have a link to the manual for this? I've been searching all morning and can't. find a reference to a button sound config.

nice thorough vid. great info.
Xeno3 XenoRGB can use the app makes it easier to chamge settings.
Yeah, that’s a great way around the no-flashing problem. Wish it existed when I got this one.

I know im late to the game, but i just found the Fx lightsaber at ross for 20 dollars!!
I just heard about that this morning! Sadly, nothing at my two local Ross stores. Happy hunting!
@Fanporium hope you are able to find one. Mine only had 2, and my brother bought the second. This is an amazing video!
Thanks!

LGT simply cause it is slimmer. Dont like the cheapy epectronics have a custom installer redo it if they can.
There are far more accurate versions of this saber out there. Elf is probably the maker who's currently the closest.
The Disney saber looks like crap. It looks like cheap plastic. The sound is horrible, it rattles.
