The only force fx elite I'll ever have is my Palpatine lightsaber, that one has the best sounds and sensitivity of them all I thought. I'll wait and see if you do the new Vader fx elite lightsaber though :P
I was one of multiple that received theirs with scratches/smudges/flaws. And I agree with you about the battery pack retention screw. Idk why I need to loosen a screw AND the pommel to take the battery pack out. If losing connection, they should have that solved by now with 20 years of Force FX lightsabers. Overall poor showing from Hasbro on this one and not seeing the value with nearly $300. Still though, the color is perfect. They beat the GE on that alone

I loved the Force FX sabers when they were made by Master Replicas. Solid quality and very durable. Once the Force FX line was moved to Hasbro, I had a bad feeling about it.
My force fx Anakin lightsaber from MR spent 8 years in a non-temperature controlled storage unit, one of the batteries had even leaked inside the hilt; I got it out of storage, cleaned it inside and out, changed the batteries, and it works and looks like the day I bought it in 2005. Master replicas knew how to make quality stuff.
@@FindingTheForce I have the 2005 master replica as Anakin Lightsaber from revenge of the Sith and to my knowledge they actually obtained the props used in the movie to base the Hilts off of and I remember they ran a bit over $100 at the time but god the quality and feel of this hilt is 1000times better than any black series or hasbro force fx lightsaber I’ve felt recently and that’s based off of the Rey black series force fx and the galaxies edge graflex which both can run up to $300
I’m so glad I found this video. I was considering getting this one because the design is quite pretty much the finish issues and the sound leave a LOT to be desired.
I have the Force FX Darksaber, I really like it. It’s definitely a step up from the Legacy Darksaber at Dok Ondar’s. My only real complaint about it is that the speaker is in the pommel. So the sound gets muffled. Totally agree with you that this Leia saber is a dumpster fire lol. I wouldn’t pay $300 for this one, no way. Always an entertaining review!

Thankfully I haven’t had any of these issues with mine. I’m wondering if, due to supply chain issues, they rushed quality control in order to get these to market? Maybe Hasbro thought it was better to sacrifice some quality to get these out to consumers and not delay the release. Hasbro is no stranger when it comes to quality control with their Star Wars product - the paint applications and other issues with both black series and vintage vogues have been ongoing. Hasbro knows that Star Wars fans will by their products even if the quality isn’t up to par.
They definitely seem pretty unreliable! I have the Kylo Elite and haven’t really had any problems with it, but the legacy sabers do seem to be more trustworthy for not glitching.

Thanks for the review!! I have the Rey and Supreme leader Kylo elite, and haven't had any issues. Just got the elite Vader, so far so good. I like the force FX cuz they come with nice stands and are pretty accurate. It will be a more uniform display if I stay in the FX Elite family. I don't have $500+ to spend on something that is goin to be mostly for display. The Darkwolf Leia V.2 saber is beautiful, but no matching stand and almost $200 more. That said I will be passing in the FX leia saber. Your review has confirmed a few others I have seen. Let's hope they don't "mail it in" with the Kenobi, like they did this.

It's in stock at Hasbro Pulse. I got a notification last weekend that a new Vader elite was released. Went to Hasbro Pulse to check it out and the listing had no sort of future release date and did not have the "pre-order" banner. So I "added to cart", paid and the next day got a notification it was shipped. Just checked and the listing still states in stock. Kinda like the Leia where some places still say Fall 2022, but in stock at a couple others like Shop Disney. Just strange.
If you don't want to scuff the blade when sliding the emitter down the blade just slide it over the bottom of the blade before you attach the blade to the hilt instead. I'm kind of blown away that this isn't obvious but if it's not, now you know.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad I didn't get this one for my channel review now. Would hate to spend the funds to get one solely for a review and it be this bad. The sound issue with loosening the pommel could be due to a lack of sound ports in the cap and when the pommel is tightened its choking off the sound and air movement of the speaker. That ghost glitch would drive me crazy as well. I'm really disappointed because I had high hopes for this saber. Thanks for the review and MTFBWY....Always.

This is kind of a delayed reply (about 1 year late), but you know what they say, good things comes to those who wait! I just got mine at Ross & for me I'm quite satisfied with mine. You can't go wrong with $40.00! The sound is soft compared to my rey skywalker lightsaber. The gurgling sound from yours could be a bad copy. I don't have that on mine. The same saber effects, swinging motion, clash, lava drag, & defector sounds, on/ off button, & I like the weight of it too! It's lighter than the rey lightsaber so waiting for it at Ross, you could have gotten a better copy at a much, much lower price! 🤞😎 $ 💯

Just wondering. Can you take a black series lightsaber batter holder/speaker and put it in this Saber? If so. Is there any difference in sound quality?
If I change any of my sound fonts to a certain flame effect on my saberforge it gets that phantom glitch where there’s sound when you move it and it’s off and the blade also lights up but in the swing effect color and the saber never fully turns off. Not sure how to fix it besides never using my favorite flame effect.

After watching all of your reviews, I only want to get the Black Series Obi Wan saber. It seems like they have fixed alot of the bugs from the other sabers. I drives me crazy that all the other ones have the clash set off just from swinging it. 🤯
I keep buying the hasbro sabers but I’ve returned almost all of them I think the only ones I’ve kept are kylo and reys saber from the end of rise of skywalker, all of them are glitchy and or have low volume, a lot of the newer ones will do the blaster deflect while swinging it without even pressing the fx button
I have been buying replicas since the days when a static metal replica cost this much and only included a plaque telling you how few of them were made; no blade, no lights, no sound, no features at all. I wish my Hasbro had louder sound, but luckily mine does not have the distorted sound that yours does. You should compare the Hasbro to the orangey Disney Legacy so we can see the differnence. That’s awesome Wayne, I know some guys who only like to collect replicas because they are so tightly connected to the films. We are definitely spoiled with all of the features and sounds that Sabres can make these days, we just need Hasbro‘s features to work! Ha ha thank you so much for watching.

I got my Leia Lightsabre today (29/06/24), and I absolutely love it, and no I'm not a TH-cam influencer, and if you did your research the "sticker" is an obligation by the EU/UK laws on recycling and safety standards.
I see all these complaints for every single Elite Force fx saber, but I have the entire collection of Elite sabers and almost have no issues. The only one that I had replaced was my Kylo Ren saber due to scratches on the blade contacts which messed the entire saber up. But for the others I must be lucky I guess.

I haven’t had any problems with my Force Fx Elite lightsabers either. I like them all better than my Galaxy’s Edge lightsabers including the Leia Organa lightsabers (yes, I bought both).
Whole heartedly agree on this one. We got the blade in and hit the ignition... disappointment. It seems like they're rushing products out and the buyer suffers the consequences.

I am so sorry to hear that Z, unfortunately I have heard a lot of people complain and share their difficulties with that same problem. I have not heard any resolutions but possibly using a clear superglue and some heavy duty rubber bands might help solve the problem.

Guess I'm staying with my Ultimate Works version from The Pach Store. I got mine without the chassis or blade which made it about the same price with shipping from Hong Kong. I love how well made it is. The Force FX series seems to have lost its' craftsmanship quality since Disney got their hands on the SW franchise.
I will say I LOVE my Rey Skywalker saber. I have experienced the glitches. But the only one I could find of hers. The power switch was just too cool for me not to purchase. I (like an absolute dumb dumb) left my blade on a airplane while moving across country. After months of searching and emailing I finally spoke to someone at Hasbro. No chance as of yet of getting a replacement. I mean, it’s a great display. But for 300$ it just sits there 🤷🏻♂️
I love ours. The smooth swing is really nice for force fx sabers. My only complaint is the clash is really sensitive when swinging. Might be my new favorite saber.

I'm so on the fence because every video I have seen for the GE version talks about the mother of pearl effect lifting off. It's like a bad choice you have to make either way. One, the thing falls apart, the other, you might get a solid build but glitchy electronics. I watched a few videos for the Rey saber, and everyone said the Hasbro is superior to the Disney. I was hoping that would be the case with all the Elites, but it looks like Hasbro is going to start driving people to buy Disney, even if they have less "flashy" effects.

I got the same problem with Luke's saber from Amazon. I send it back and got another one from Toys r us a couple days ago and it works right. Seems these models got some sound/lights problems.

Most of the lightsabers I bought from Master Replicas were only around $120. I can't believe that they're being sold now for almost $300. I have an Episode II Anakin Skywalker lightsaber which looks like the Darth Vader lightsaber but it's all chrome. The blade color is a lighter blue than other blue lightsabers.

On the glitches... You said it changed when you unscrewed the base of the hilt... does that mean you didn't re-tighten the little screw on the side? Maybe that's the issue then!
Thanks for the video as I pre-ordered the Hasbro the black series princess Leia organa force fx lightsaber through GameStop & it's release date was June 2022 then went to October 2022 then disappeared from the GameStop website and never got help or answers on what was going on with the lightsaber from GameStop employees so I cancelled the order and got my money back on a gift card. I have Rey's yellow lightsaber and I really like everything about it. I blame Bob Chapek rearrange the letter's in his last name and lose the (k) and you get cheap and that's the route it looks like they took.

Hey Nick, I hope your Rey Saber is working well. A minimum requirement of mine is that I should be able to swing it without activating all kinds of crazy effects. I’m going to hope for the best but expect the worst from the Hasbro Obi Wan. @@FindingTheForce overall my Rey saber works pretty well the only issue i've had is once in a while when turning it on it goes into molten/tip drag mode. Also I kind of forgot that Galaxies Edge has an Obi-Wan saber coming out sometime I'll deff keep a look out for that, thanks!
So the saber that " lava melts" halfway down the blade is the Rey saber with the yellow blade. Man that Leia saber is pretty rough, and I didn't like the phantom sounds one bit. Imagine grabbing something from the room it stored in, you go in real quick to grab something and it starts making THAT sound! No way. Yeah, I think that's the worst one I've seen you review. I also have the fx kenobi on pre-order, and they are definitely jacking the price up bigtime. That's cool you've got Artsabers as a sponsor. One of the first things I did when I really started getting higher end sabers was to find out where the U.S. suppliers get theirs. So I save a bunch of money that way.lets hope the Obi-Wan fx isn't crap. Talk to ya later Obi-dad. BTW I have an 89sabers Luke ep6 (new version) It's got the correct yellow under the emitter. Later. It should be here in a week.
Go for the one you like the best visually. If you have to pick one I would suggest Ashoka. It comes with 2 hilts and they can change color from blue to green.
Luke skywalker Rotj saber would be my choice I go over in October and def gonna get it, I done the savi workshop last time but I regret not getting lukes at the time
I went to Disneyland couple times last month. I purchased Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, SkyWalker, Darth Maul (double sided) Mace Windu and Kylo Ren. My favorite so far is the Darth Maul with 36 inch blades.
I got the skywalker black box. I got Ashoka and 2 Cal Kestus. Also made one at savi. I’m done with Disneyland. I’m now going to graduate to a neopixel high quality sabers. One expensive saber at a time lol
this is kind of sad, because immediately after I saw the rise of skywalker, I really wanted to get leia's lightsaber. I've loved the character since I was a kid, and I thought it was so cool out she had a lightsaber on screen.

I bought a elite fix saber then got a proffie neopixel FOR THE SAME PRICE and it was infinitely better. So I’m down hundreds of dollars and can’t return it because I opened the box. Very disappointed.
Hey Jamie, it’s actually the opposite. I had it tightened all the way and it was making that horrible sound. So I loosened it and it cleared up for just a minute or two. 🤷🏼♂️

This is kind of a delayed reply (about 1 year late), but you know what they say, good things comes to those who wait! I just got mine at Ross & for me I'm quite satisfied with mine. You can't go wrong with $40.00! The sound is soft compared to my rey skywalker lightsaber. The gurgling sound from yours could be a bad copy. I don't have that on mine. The same saber effects, swinging motion, clash, lava drag, & defector sounds, on/ off button, & I like the weight of it too!
It's lighter than the rey lightsaber so waiting for it at Ross, you could have gotten a better copy at a much, much lower price! 🤞😎 $ 💯

Just wondering. Can you take a black series lightsaber batter holder/speaker and put it in this Saber? If so. Is there any difference in sound quality?
I have 1 half of a Darth Maul FX Saber. Yoda from the late 2000s. The most recent one is the Yellow Rey one. I like that.
If I change any of my sound fonts to a certain flame effect on my saberforge it gets that phantom glitch where there’s sound when you move it and it’s off and the blade also lights up but in the swing effect color and the saber never fully turns off. Not sure how to fix it besides never using my favorite flame effect.

After watching all of your reviews, I only want to get the Black Series Obi Wan saber. It seems like they have fixed alot of the bugs from the other sabers. I drives me crazy that all the other ones have the clash set off just from swinging it. 🤯

I keep buying the hasbro sabers but I’ve returned almost all of them I think the only ones I’ve kept are kylo and reys saber from the end of rise of skywalker, all of them are glitchy and or have low volume, a lot of the newer ones will do the blaster deflect while swinging it without even pressing the fx button

Yeah, I think you are right Brad. I know the Disney sabers are not the best but they do make pretty awesome theme park souvenirs.
I have been buying replicas since the days when a static metal replica cost this much and only included a plaque telling you how few of them were made; no blade, no lights, no sound, no features at all. I wish my Hasbro had louder sound, but luckily mine does not have the distorted sound that yours does. You should compare the Hasbro to the orangey Disney Legacy so we can see the differnence. I got my Leia Lightsabre today (29/06/24), and I absolutely love it, and no I'm not a TH-cam influencer, and if you did your research the "sticker" is an obligation by the EU/UK laws on recycling and safety standards.
I don’t even own any force affect lightsabers but I think the revamp and palpaten are the best tbh,and probably the grand inquisitor saber coming out

There’s a new darth vader and darth raven lightsaber on hasbro. I don’t know if I should get one, I’m really hesitant.
I see all these complaints for every single Elite Force fx saber, but I have the entire collection of Elite sabers and almost have no issues. The only one that I had replaced was my Kylo Ren saber due to scratches on the blade contacts which messed the entire saber up. But for the others I must be lucky I guess.
Do you own any other sabers to have something to compare to?

I haven’t had any problems with my Force Fx Elite lightsabers either. I like them all better than my Galaxy’s Edge lightsabers including the Leia Organa lightsabers (yes, I bought both).
Whole heartedly agree on this one. We got the blade in and hit the ignition... disappointment. It seems like they're rushing products out and the buyer suffers the consequences.

Please do a comparison. My GE Leia has the pearl inserts peeling away. Pretty disappointed in both for the flaws.
I am so sorry to hear that Z, unfortunately I have heard a lot of people complain and share their difficulties with that same problem. I have not heard any resolutions but possibly using a clear superglue and some heavy duty rubber bands might help solve the problem.
I love my G.E. lightsaber, I feel it's part of me. But I do wish that the blade was brighter and had the smooth swing effects.

The only reason you have heard bad rumors is because other companies that are jealous of their success make up lies that are selling similar products. They sell LGT Brand Sabres. There are many other resellers with excellent reputations. Do some research before buying.
Guess I'm staying with my Ultimate Works version from The Pach Store. I got mine without the chassis or blade which made it about the same price with shipping from Hong Kong. I love how well made it is. The Force FX series seems to have lost its' craftsmanship quality since Disney got their hands on the SW franchise.
The soundfont kyberphonic made using the sounds from the actual movie is hands down better, without question!

In previews the Vader force fx saber seems to be actually red when in a dark setting. I hope it’s good.

I just received my Vader force fx elite Black Edition and it is Great! It looks and works just as advertised. I love it!
I will say I LOVE my Rey Skywalker saber. I have experienced the glitches. But the only one I could find of hers. The power switch was just too cool for me not to purchase. I (like an absolute dumb dumb) left my blade on a airplane while moving across country. After months of searching and emailing I finally spoke to someone at Hasbro. No chance as of yet of getting a replacement. I mean, it’s a great display. But for 300$ it just sits there 🤷🏻♂️
I love ours. The smooth swing is really nice for force fx sabers. My only complaint is the clash is really sensitive when swinging. Might be my new favorite saber.

I'm so on the fence because every video I have seen for the GE version talks about the mother of pearl effect lifting off. It's like a bad choice you have to make either way. One, the thing falls apart, the other, you might get a solid build but glitchy electronics. I watched a few videos for the Rey saber, and everyone said the Hasbro is superior to the Disney. I was hoping that would be the case with all the Elites, but it looks like Hasbro is going to start driving people to buy Disney, even if they have less "flashy" effects.

I got the same problem with Luke's saber from Amazon. I send it back and got another one from Toys r us a couple days ago and it works right. Seems these models got some sound/lights problems.

Most of the lightsabers I bought from Master Replicas were only around $120. I can't believe that they're being sold now for almost $300.
I have an Episode II Anakin Skywalker lightsaber which looks like the Darth Vader lightsaber but it's all chrome. The blade color is a lighter blue than other blue lightsabers.

I think the reason why is because the sound holes change they have to match up with the speaker inside the hilt to get a clear sound
That hilt looks really good. Unfortunately everything else looks disappointing.
That's basically what it comes down to. Some people just want a trophy piece. 🤷🏼♂️

On the glitches...
You said it changed when you unscrewed the base of the hilt... does that mean you didn't re-tighten the little screw on the side? Maybe that's the issue then!
Thanks for the video as I pre-ordered the Hasbro the black series princess Leia organa force fx lightsaber through GameStop & it's release date was June 2022 then went to October 2022 then disappeared from the GameStop website and never got help or answers on what was going on with the lightsaber from GameStop employees so I cancelled the order and got my money back on a gift card.
I have Rey's yellow lightsaber and I really like everything about it.
I blame Bob Chapek rearrange the letter's in his last name and lose the (k) and you get cheap and that's the route it looks like they took.

Darkwolf Sabers has a beautiful Leia V.2 saber with polished chrome and rose gold chrome. Unlike the FX Leia. Spendy if you go neopixel...but very nice

Hey Nick, I hope your Rey Saber is working well. A minimum requirement of mine is that I should be able to swing it without activating all kinds of crazy effects. I’m going to hope for the best but expect the worst from the Hasbro Obi Wan. @@FindingTheForce overall my Rey saber works pretty well the only issue i've had is once in a while when turning it on it goes into molten/tip drag mode. Also I kind of forgot that Galaxies Edge has an Obi-Wan saber coming out sometime I'll deff keep a look out for that, thanks!
So the saber that " lava melts" halfway down the blade is the Rey saber with the yellow blade.
Man that Leia saber is pretty rough, and I didn't like the phantom sounds one bit. Imagine grabbing something from the room it stored in, you go in real quick to grab something and it starts making THAT sound! No way. Yeah, I think that's the worst one I've seen you review. I also have the fx kenobi on pre-order, and they are definitely jacking the price up bigtime. That's cool you've got Artsabers as a sponsor. One of the first things I did when I really started getting higher end sabers was to find out where the U.S. suppliers get theirs. So I save a bunch of money that way.lets hope the Obi-Wan fx isn't crap. Talk to ya later Obi-dad. BTW I have an 89sabers Luke ep6 (new version)

Go for the one you like the best visually. If you have to pick one I would suggest Ashoka. It comes with 2 hilts and they can change color from blue to green.
Luke skywalker Rotj saber would be my choice I go over in October and def gonna get it, I done the savi workshop last time but I regret not getting lukes at the time
I went to Disneyland couple times last month. I purchased Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, SkyWalker, Darth Maul (double sided) Mace Windu and Kylo Ren. My favorite so far is the Darth Maul with 36 inch blades.
I got the skywalker black box. I got Ashoka and 2 Cal Kestus. Also made one at savi. I’m done with Disneyland. I’m now going to graduate to a neopixel high quality sabers. One expensive saber at a time lol

Once I had a neopixels lightsaber With the same Glitch ans Frozen problem ...
I bought a elite fix saber then got a proffie neopixel FOR THE SAME PRICE and it was infinitely better. So I’m down hundreds of dollars and can’t return it because I opened the box.

It’s because it’s not tight enough on the hilt. The battery’s are not connecting
Hey Jamie, it’s actually the opposite. I had it tightened all the way and it was making that horrible sound. So I loosened it and it cleared up for just a minute or two. 🤷🏼♂️
