I absolutely love these concepts! The use of pieces that aren't choking hazards, the collectibilty of recolored pieces, and combo models, it all seems like something that could have happened in 2002. An amazing pitch! From a lore perspective, it also makes sense, since Bohrok were once Av-Matoran, so using Matoran pieces to make Bohrok creatures follows through with that.
I love the idea of more McDonald’s style sets. The Mctoran were such a great way to get Bionicle into more people’s hands, so if you then had a villain that was also easy to get I think it would have gotten even more people into Bionicle because now they would have more conflicts to act out. And the fact that these would be backwards compatible with the discs from the Mctoran just gives them even more play value
These would have been way better than most Bionicle promo toys made after the McToran. Its strange that Bionicle promo collaborations peaked so early. More Bionicle parts recolors the better, the builds are also cute.
That would have been not only amazing way to get recolours of feet, shields and hoods, but it's also pretty interesting part giver. Yes, i doubt those things would be nowhere near as important as matorans, but that would only give more reasons to use parts as something else, most likely just build around the launcher, as models already suggest that launchers are middle of the body, so adding bigger legs feels like pretty obvious choice for most kids
i really love these little fellas, they would be very welcome additions to the bohrok cast in my eyes. im not sure how they would fit into the story, the bohrok swarms as they are feel pretty complete, but i would have loved to see them toddling around the island alongside the va.
actually, the word “toddling” gives me an idea… maybe bohrok-toh as the name? fits in with the suffixes of other bohrok associates like the va and tha kal, maybe there’s something there?
They look like little roombas on feet anyway, so perhaps they'd be the "after-cleaners" that follow the Bohrok after their messy destruction of the island
I'm lovin' it 😄. Ive always felt the Bohrok line was under utilised / not fully exploited. I love the pairing of Bohrok with Bohrok Va, but I wished there was another small Bohrok guy (for the Toas, we got Matoran and Tohunga). Also those shields have quite the collection potential, it wouldn't have hurt to give them some Kanohi level power and to get more variety. Gosh, now I wish the Toas and Tohungas weapons had some powers and more variety too 😅
So far, all I've found is that the Tahrok shield is a kind of flamethrower, and the Lehrok shield is a kind of acid spitter. The other Bohrok shield seem to be destruction tools (jackhammer, saw blade, etc) I guess with the Krana, there just wasn't any room lore wise for another set of powers
OMG, I love these creatures so much! They look so cute and IDK, but maybe matoran could have built them after the Bohrok swarm got defeated to help them with terraforming and repairing the island to their need and maybe kept them as pets as well. Turagas would remembered disc shooter designs and would have passed this design knowledge down to matoran. All other parts would be explained as left over body parts from different Bohrok swarm creatures. Maybe the combined sets could get used by matoran for heavier work or could be some kind of bug reactivating their original objective. The combined model looked pretty bird like to me btw. I would love having these creatures between my 30 or so MNOG2 matoran (as a child I only had 7: all 7 original sets except for Jaller and back then I always wanted to buy as many as possible and spray paint duplicates to get like every combination possible; but instead I bought many bionicle parts during the time when I was writing my thesis to make my little group of matoran grow.), but I need moooore! For a while now I wished someone would print or cast MNOG2 matoran feet, legs and torsos, because, well, the variety of color combos we can achieve without custom creatures is not that vast in my opinion. Just imagine having a nearly 100% tan colored matoran, lime or green(not dark green) matoran and more. Sadly I don't own a 3D printer and my only experience of taking forms of Bionicle masks is with alginat(the stuff dentists put into your mouth). So my only hope for these parts would be, if someone would cast them with some kind of automation and sell many of them for a not too high price.
If you have a PLA or FDM printer you could get the feet 3D printed in the appropriate colors; fair warning, filament printing is not as clean as resin printing so the lines will be more definite, but if you can ignore that, then it's a perfect solution
I wonder how much of a stretch it would be for the eyes to be painted? I didn't even notice that they were eyes until you mentioned it but I'm also aware of the limitations of this rhetoric

I love this concept, the designs themselves feel very beetly, would certainly fit into the vague bug theming going on with the swarm.
Please sell these when you make some! I’d love the hit of nostalgia getting these while also getting something new!
I wish you had a time machine so you could go back in time and make these a reality! It's so brilliant.
Looking forward to bringing McBohrok to life

100%
You should be a Toy designer
These would be fantastic as Bohtoran, with the Bohrok Va being the swarm's Turaga equivalent! Maybe these guys could be Bohrok Ma?
These are super cute! Would have been nice if Lego did stuff like this with their McDonald’s toys. The McToran deserve a spiritual successor
Man, I wish we got these

the lego bionicle toys were actually kinda dope

not to mention these being the equivalent of the TOHunga lol

I think in the story, the shields do have powers, sort of.. no idea how much it's explored or if I'm just misrememebering
@@skybirdmakes ha, maybe you're right, I'll look into it

They build the Matoran, why not the Mini Rahi too?
I neglected to show it in the video, but I also made a rahi featuring these custom body pieces too!!
I would love these as workers for borrok
pretty cool

genious
Vretty neat
This is so cute and inventive! Have you ever gotten your custom parts made IRL, I would love to be able to make these little guys.
Not quite yet, but hopefully soon!!
