    The dental assistant should definitely talk to the manager and not the doctor regarding this topic... The office manager has always been the liaison between the staff and owner dentist when it comes to issues, so why would you have them address the doctor directly? The assistant taking this on may not know how to address the issue and lead to a confrontation that many not end pleasantly. That being said, communication is the real issue. There is a serious disconnect between the front and back staff, and bridging that gap is the only way to fix these issues. The entire office is one team, not front staff and back staff.
