For me their nurburgring was really off. They got the curbs totally wrong and plus the total lack of graffiti made it seem rally cold and artificial.

Not a huge fan of Nordschleife, but even I could notice the differences, you´re right. I think it´s sort of forgivable not to nail some sections of such a long track, but for the GP size tracks there are no excuses.

I'm hoping the sort out the force feedback for the game. I picked up the game recently and all the game time I have spent playing has been trying to sort out the force feedback since it feels too heavy and lacking detail. Rfactor 2 and raceroom managed to nail the force feedback straight out the box and only minor adjustments were needed to get assetto corsa to feel right so hopefully SMS improves their default FFB options for PC2

Check out Jack Spade - FFB Tweaker Files, made the game playable to me, and yeah I agree. They need to make it work out of the box.

My problem with PCars is the AI pace in track. Whatever the IA difficult chosen, you will notice that they are unrealistic fast in some specifics sectors of tracks and very slow in others. This is really disappointing because leads us to be hit by them all the time.

+WMagaiver indeed. Gotta give it to them though, pretty much every racing game has that problem. Only in a few selected combos the AI drives in a similar way to a player and there's not "that corner" where they're way too fast or slow.

    Agreed - Thumb up.
Corner cutting made easy by stupidly flat kerbs, grippy turf and too-easy-to-destroy anti-cutting sticks - IDK their real name, sorry - can ruin things. On some tracks like Zolder it becomes a race to who's cutting best and who's lucky with penalties. Even the small bumps on the inside of the kerb aren't big enough to prevent people from driving on them, sometimes with a wheel in the grass.
Something you haven't covered: reaction to kerbs can vary from car to car within the same class, making it very unfair. Some GT3 cars simply lose a second in places where other cars in the same class don't. Some kerbs are too high and wouldn't be allowed in real life but if nobody can drive them it is imo better.
Yes, it does make me rage too, you're not the only one.
As usual, nice one, keep going!

+Apex Hit yep, the bollards are well placed and make people drive the track, but they're always gone by the end of lap 1.

despite the small faults it's still a stack more immersive than AC , love it !

I can hear the tears of the SMShills hitting the ground.

Have you noticed some corners on some tracks that aren't laser scanned dont allow you to take the corner in the correct or realistically accurate gear, (the gear that the real word race driver takes the corner) ? Some 3rd gear corners you have to take in 2nd instead of 3rd, because 3rd slows you down, even when you get the optimal line through the corner.
Donington park in project cars 2 is very wrong. In real life the gt3 race cars are able to take corners one gear higher than you can in project cars 2 at Donnington. You have to drop to 2nd gear on many corners, but on the real track the drivers are in 3rd gear and almost ready to shift up to 4th gear. I've watched an onboard video of the Nissan GTR GT3 at Donnington and its almost impossible to match his gear selections in project carss 2 at Donnington in the Nissan GTR GT3. You can match his gear selections but you drop out of the power band and it feels better dropping to 2nd gear. Corner cutting penalties are now a joke in project cars 2 as well. Touch a curb and the lap is invalidated. Its too strict now, in places.

one track that is really bad for corner cutting is the chicane at oberschleben gp. you can completely ignore track limits and drive straight over the green asphalt area as opposed to driving round the kerb as intended. this almost entirely straight lines the chicane and lets you carry a level of speed out of the next corner that simply wouldnt be possible if you took the chicane properly. im surprised you missed this out of the video, although you may never have driven the track, ive only even driven it once

Yeah I drove a league race long ago with the Ginetta GT4 cars there, and I do like the track! But to be fair I never noticed because the field behaved pretty well and no one abused that. I noticed that once bollards were taken down drivers were pushing their luck but I never knew you could just skip the corner entirely. It sucks.

lol I don't understand what this video is about. Every car has a different ideal line depending on setup, weight, track, driver, etc. The "correct" ideal line is defined by what's best for your car, your surface and also race regulations. Now I don't know if all cars feel the same cause I never played this game which would be wrong. But I do play a lot of Assetto Corsa.

It's about how many unrealistic small shortcuts and track extensions this game allows compared to what that car can do in real life due to the low fidelity of many tracks.

The grass is absolutely ridiculous in this game, completely ruins immersion.
