Mike didn’t cooperate at all and then defied him. Of course he would get a little flustered. Also Titans are a lot more efficient at killing people than real life animals so Mike‘s suffering wouldn’t have lasted any longer than depicted in the show.
Am I the only one who actually likes Zeke? Even from the start, I was immediately intrigued by his character and knew he was gonna be a hella interesting guy (yes even though he killed very beloved characters rip). And I was right, I think Zeke’s childhood is one of the most tragically realistic and compelling stories of the ones we’ve seen, I mean, I found myself sympathetically rooting for little Zeke the whole time. Honestly his childhood experiences hit close to home for me, which has never happened before in any other series, one of the reasons I love AoT so much. As season four progressed, we got to see more of him and his complexity drive the season’s theme of perspective and moral ambiguity. When I look back on why AoT is a good show, I immediately think of Zeke because he represents all of the unique layers, twists, and rich characters shown throughout this incredible story and the show’s debate of whether anything is really good or bad. Overall, I just think he’s a really underrated character and should be appreciated more by the community. oh also he is monke
zeke to me represents the king’s ideology trying to pass as more merciful. i can see why people sympathize with him but he really does revel in the act of killing
People just hate Zeke because he isn't Eren. Honestly with the kind of backstory zeke has, i would have expected him to turn out to be a brutally evil character fighting for justice (like eren) but instead we see him trying to fix things till his last breath, so that no one has to go through what he went through and THAT is what makes me love him so much.

Zeke has been exploited his whole life, first by Grisha, then by Marley, and in the end by Eren. Tom Ksaver was the only genuine and selfless connection he had with someone, he was the only one who cared enough to have real conversations with him and make him not feel miserable about himself (like when tom complimented his pitching skills, was it that hard to do Grisha), the fact that Tom was more of a father to Zeke than his actual biological father is utterly sad, and also that Zeke had to physically eat the only man who cared for him is even more devastating. I love that Zeke always carried tom's glasses and the baseball with him as a memory, that shows how much those little baseball conversations meant to him. Yall be hating Zeke solely for the reason that he isn't Eren, yall love Eren and then be hating gabi who is literally the female version of eren like have an original thought for once don't just blindly follow the guy who has been shown as the protagonist and don't go on hating the guy who disagrees with the protagonist. I mean you can love Eren for several reasons but just don't ignore all the other beautifully written characters of the show.
