I have no idea why but my last 1 minute and 15 seconds that was supposed to be in the video just didn't get uploaded into it. Like its there but if I were to gloss over that part it just crashes my program. No idea why. I tried recovering it but it wasn't there and I can't reencode the video with the raw footage because I already got rid of the raw footage cause it took up too much space... you guys didn't really miss that much but it still annoying.
I think Octo Expansion only had the impact it did because it was a completely new direction for Splatoon, and I see that they tried to do that here but with time restrictions and other updates I see why it wouldn’t have worked as well. As far as gameplay goes I completely agree, it’s fun and replayable to an extent, but “infinite replayability” is kind of a stretch considering how fast it can get repetitive. I think they could’ve gone a bit more all out with the lower bosses considering how unique the story mode bosses were, but honestly playing through it was still fun. AMAZING ANIMATIONS BTW I LOVE THEM SM 😭
WARNING: YAP SESSION AHEAD Marina made the spire for those who had been sanitised. The spire only goes up one floor at a time because the color chips are memories extracted from memcakes and once put in the palette is basically adding back a memory to the individual’s palette it’s added to. The floors are supposed to be there to help the individual traversing the spire remember who they are via the jelletons (who were only helpers before order took over the memverse and caused them to be blood-thirsty killers). If they were to just go to the end, they wouldn’t learn who they once were. Ok yap session done 😁😁😁
I can tell you went real hard on this one! Loved it. The start made me laugh way harder than I was expecting. Oh, and Octoexpansion is indeed just "..."
There’s a few things: 1. A way to make runs more challenging. In this video I go a bit off on how every other rogue like has some way to make the game more difficult and passed the idea of having hacks that were just the danger floors but active the entire run. 2. Parallel canon does not feel like a boss. In a scraped part of my video I go off on how Parallel canon feels more a danger floor modifier or even its own objective than a boss. 3. More unique floors. In the like 20 different runs I did for this video I barely got any of those that try something different. While I don’t mind the floors that have multiple different objectives on it. I just wish there were some more floors that try one specific thing. 4. Last thing is simply they didn’t bother using gimmicks from the campaign. Those being the inkferlers, gushers, bounce pads, and those were little bots the suck up the ink.

if you really are wondering its just wrapping up loose ends and saying that video games are supposed to be fun

Love the Sonic OVA reference at 12:04😊
2:47 ok but thats litteraly the reason in lore for why it only goes up one at a time. Because marina made it a rogue like
