A tip for maxing non-drone chips is to turn off every drone hack, and pick Drone Splat Bomb/Killer Wail as soon as possible in order to remove the other from the future options. Turning off the bias hack also helps if you're looking for weapon-exclusive chips that aren't favored by it (Extra Dodge Roll my beloathed).
@@CaptainoftheFacilityI think it took me three or four as well. It was one of my last 4 or so I got maxed if you don't count the chips you can get up to 9 of.
wait the bias hack doesn't apply to weapon stuff like brella regeneration? i thought it appliws to the overall family of the chip like "support or luck" but thanks for telling me cause I'm stuck with brella regen since 6 runs
Here’s a fun way to try to get a color chip maxed out: Do a themed run, not monotone, so for charger, I love doing a “shotgun run” where I get full quick charge and full range, making me the deadliest thing in the spire
Themed runs are really fun, I did a couple with charger because quick charge is so satisfying. I also did one where I took every drone chip and pearl basically just did the job for me haha
Yesterday I did a charger run for the palettes biases (support and range), so I could actually do a splat bomb rush run where I barely used the charger itself.
Also, not every chip requires you to set five of them, namely the ones that just toggle on with a single chip (no launch brella, dodge roll attack, etc)
Honestly, side order was an amazing dlc, the gameplay, the details, the lore, the amount of things to do, all the rewards we can get, it was definitely worth the wait. This guide will help me quite a bit, I’m still focussing on trying to beat the spire once, but I’m planning on getting all of marinas hacks then doing a serious run, and if I happen to beat it in the process, then that’s helpful lol. I’ll probably try get all the hacks, then try beat order once, then get all the palletes, and marinas dev diary, then getting all the colour chips at least once, then maxing out the jelloton field guide, then everything else lol.
@@mossyquartzzUpdate: Funnily enough, the Brella is my worst weapon in the normal game (along with blaster and splatlings), but the best I have gotten with other weapons was 24f, always end up dying on 25f, but yesterday I managed to get to 27f with the brella (marinas palette), today did 28f, and 29f was a vending machine corner (huge sigh of relief), so I decided I’ll attempt 30f tomorrow. Without giving major spoilers, is there any tips you could give to help me with 30f?
Patience was probably the most helpful thing for me in Side Order. Take the time to kill enemies and ink the ground to help with mobility (and your ink hurts Jelletons), and then focus on the objective. It's okay to spend a long time on levels if it means you'll clear it! Some of the harder ones took me over 5 minutes at first because I was being patient, impatience is the easiest way to lose lives. Also having hacks (extra lives, armor, damage, etc..) to help can be really useful! What you'll want depends on how you perceive your abilities, but I personally started out with more lives, swim speed when my armor is broken, and pearl drone slots!
Another thing I’d like to add is don’t let yourself get cornered. Especially when run out of ink you’re basically screwed and they will swarm you. Best bet is to use your special in this scenario.
Thanks for making this! I wasn’t completely sure how to get those color chip badges for your splash tag but I see how to do it now. It’s going to take a while though!
This video is very helpful, Ives been trying to complete the colour chips but had no clue how to get the badges. But now I know what to do and...... I'm very excited to work on them. Thank you for this video
yeah the first maybe 5ish runs are pretty rough, i’ve been grinding it for the last week and once you get rolling, it’s a ton of fun, and im about to complete my last pallet. invest early in broken armor speed, armor recovery speed, broken armor jump, and attack damage good luck on your next run bro
I beat the Side Order twice with the same palette and after that, I didn't play anymore of it until six months later, which was yesterday, when I tried beating it with a different palette, I made it to the final boss, but failed miserably at beating it, but I didn't return to the beginning of the game empty handed, I did get some prlzs which I think is better than nothing. The reason why I didn't play the Side Order for six months is because I consider(ed) it to be too challenging for me and I don't like to feel stressed when I play it. I guess that's because I don't like losing. Anyway, if I do play it again, I'm only interested in prizes such as certain skins, two headwears at the moment and I will try my best. If I manage to get them, I guess that's all that matters. If I (happen to) get a 100 % of the game (while getting the prizes), that's good enough for me, but a 1000 % of the game, no thanks! It's too challenging and I don't want to feel any stress.
I basically got the 1000% 10 days ago and I didn't mind going crazy on color chip completion, though the Agent 8 Palette was something I absolutely went berserk on by NOT using a single hack, risky reward aside🤣🤣🤣
I tried once with risky reward and failed, and I thought I would fail enough times going forward that it would be better not to use it. I cleared the Spire on the next run without it...
What’s a good strategy for getting all the color chips? I originally thought you’d need to beat the spire while only using that color of chip so basically i had a “mobility only” palette run
I have three missing color chips on my family board for the heavy and brella abilities and I just do not feel like obtaining those as I have the badge that eight platelet rewards you with so I one hundred percent side order
ya just needed 450 floors? you're lucky I'm stuck at the umbrella regeneration chip it's the last one i need and i literally already tried 6 runs with it and yes i use the resetting, favor perk and all other money and automat hacks I'm just an unlucky person
@@mossyquartzz i have a question. What about that Visor thingy ive seen with Agent 4 pallette? Surely that's an obtainable headgear, right? That half-visor thingy that kind of resembles a dragon ball scouter?
I don't exactly know how you can get it in-game (it might have to do with color chips?) but it's not obtainable gear, I really wish it was but it's only in side order and every weapon can have it
Splatling barrage is a really hard chip that took me multiple tries to obtain, but here's some tips to make it easier: - Splatling's common tones are drone and support chips, meaning that they show up in the spire more often than other chips, while splatling barrage is a power chip! To make it easier to encounter uncommon tones, go to marina and turn off the color chip bias hack. - Other hacks to turn off are all the drone related ones! This makes it so that it's impossible for most drone chips to show up, making it easier to encounter a wider variety of chips. - Those were the main ones, but I recommend maxing out all the membux and vending machine hacks, being able to reset floors/vending machines is super helpful when you're looking for a specific chip Hope this helps :)
I got lucky then I’m almost done with all the chips I just need 2 more and let me just say getting the main weapon chips are horrible those have given me trouble getting them
Does anyone know how to get the Turf drone gauge (orange) color chip it never shows up for me 😭 Update I got the chip with the color bias turned off lamo
Use a weapon that has range as a common tone like splattershot! Every palette has a common tone that will show up more often in the Spire (you can see those in the menu). If you turn on the high bias, double chip drop rate hack, and vending machine hacks then you should be able to get it in no time :) hope this helps!!
Some chips are weapon specific, meaning that you can only obtain them with specific weapons. For example, Brella Cooldown can only be optained if you play with the Brella. Normally the color chip collection has small icons for every chip, and the weapon specific ones have those weapons in the icon. Hope this helps !
the delivery of "why? I don't fucking know" made me burst into laughter. The dry tone of that was really funny.

There’s also 1001%, for getting 9 of the chips that go that high. It’s not even tracked in game, but it is on the online app side order stats
