2. Download track.patch and
**MAKE SURE TO PLACE IT IN YOUR "Distance_Data" FOLDER, NEXT TO THE FILE "resources.assets"**

3. Make backup of resources.assets within your Distance_Data folder
4. Copy and paste in the following commands into your command line tool, in order
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Distance\Distance_Data"
path="C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuWin32\bin"
patch --binary resources.assets track.patch
5. Start the game, test it out

For anyone who needs help running the cd command for a drive that is not C, use the command cd /(Letter of drive) "(Letter of drive):\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Distance\Distance_Data"
, filling the " " with the path to your Distance_Data folder. For example if I wanted to use my D drive I would use the command:
cd /d "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Distance\Distance_Data"

So every time i use the command prompt and put all the commands as instructed says

I'm new to this have no clue what to do from there, doesn't load the track mods am i missing a step on the command prompt ?
I followed all the steps but it says patch is not recognized as an internal or external commend, operable program or patch file.

Re-watch the video, and follow all the instructions exactly. The error means that you missed one of the steps or installed the patch utility in a different location.

You need to add /d after the cd command, or else it won't switch drives.
In the future videos you’ve done after this not many of them involved this particular mod. In the future ones I didn’t see the arrows on the track or the lights on the side of the track. What’s going on?

The mod works just in your maps? Or works in others too, like nob, Alex and wolfy
It works best in my newer (speed of silence) maps. The roads have to have a certain coloration to look "natural".

Hmm alright. Still doesn't work even checked every line to make sure that its correct since im on my harddrive
@@DJxKirei you probably downloaded the wrong version of the patch utility. I'm guessing the error you get it something like 'patch is an unrecognised internal or external command'.
Rewatch the video and make sure you download the right version of the utility

Yeah doesn't work. Right version and pasting them one at a time and hitting enter doesn't do anything just get no such file or directory.

Yep! It's just a texture swap so it's still compatible
@@milleniem0gamer Did anything change within these last few months cause I followed the guide pretty closely with Centrifuge and game launches but the texture didn't change?

You may have installed the wrong version of the patch command. Re-watch the video
@@milleniem0gamer I just installed the GnuWin32 2.5.9 and tried again, when ever I copy and paste the commands it looks different from your command prompt. Your commands have space between them, but mine just continue in one line of code.

I think I installed everything correctly but the game launches without an issue to the stock menu.
You have to switch out the garage map manually. The patch only changes the track texture, not the main menu level.
Still waiting for a video of a race in realms involving this mod. If you have made one involving this mod, show me the link. If you haven’t I’d appreciate it if you could make one.

ΩPUS I checked those And it didn’t look like the mod I see here. Didn’t see the arrows or those rectangular lights sides of the track in the drome. Unless I’m watching the wrong video. Please reply to me with a link to that race.

What do I change if I have steam installed on "D" and not on "C"
Modify the cd command in step 4 so that it refers to your distance_data directory
ive done all the steps correctly and had no errors, but eveverytime i go into the game the track just stays the same

Just download music to your pc and then turn on custom music in the options menu

yea the patch is a virus
It's not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it set off antivirus detection software. The patching program used in the video is developed by a single person, and not a software company, and is unlicensed.
@@milleniem0gamer once I have it downloaded and compressed the thing installs but there is no notebook file with the links to put on the commands. Control shift enter did not open anything. Help please

I did the same as the video and it gave me this error:
