  • We have made it! Welcome to a whole new province here in Thailand! The journey took way longer than it was supposed to from Phuket but we have finally arrived in Krabi, specifically Ao Nang! We have a great couple of days planned from island hopping and beach hopping! Today we decided to explore Ao Nang and Railay Beach and we really weren't disappointed, so far one of our favourite beaches we have ever travelled to and that is a big statement!

We stayed around the other side of the peninsula a few years ago. We got the boat to railey at 9am , landed , met another English couple and spent the rest of the day in the bar next to the sand sea resort before getting the 6pm boat back and we were well and truly drunk 😂 oh happy days

Good morning guys. That is one place I haven't been Krabi. The first thing in the morning when I wake up. Is thank GOD for giving me another day. Then watch a couple of your videos on Thailand, have my breakfast. Do the chores I have to do. Then go out and work on my land till, it gets dark. When I board the plane in Perth. I have a gremlin rush in my body. When I hear the pilot saying. In 5 minutes we will be landing at Phuket International airport. I look out of my window and see the majestic Islands and long tailed boats going to the Islands, and tears roll down my cheeks. The scenery from the plane is breath taking, and from that height. The water is crystal clear. How I wish I had investigated Thailand on my first trip. I was told by a lawyer, that foreigners cannot buy property in Thailand only Condo. Please beware of scammers in Thailand especially Indians. One of them tried to sell me a property there. When I told him what I knew. He said that I was given the wrong information. The only right information you can get regarding these matters is from a lawyer and not from these clowns. Are you from Australia. Take care, stay safe.

We went to Ao Nang and Railey Bay first time in 1998. Back then Ao Nang consisted of about 5 hotels and aboot 20 restaurants. There was 1 road along the beach with pavements of sand. A lot has changed. Last time (in 2015) it became to much for us, now it is a big urban city. Sinze we have been going to Ko Lanta and Khao Lak.

Myself and the missus will be heading there next year, Thailand, Vietnam, Bali. I'm looking forward to the culture, people, landscapes etc. Bit nervous about the food. I'm absolutely hopeless with spicy food.
I'll have to learn "no spice" in multiple different languages.
These videos have us very excited, can't wait. Keep em up!

Hi, I'm Thai who eat non-spicy. To be more precise, I don't eat the things like Tom Yum or Som Tam (spicy papaya salad). But if a guy like me can live my life in this country since I was born until now, there should be no problem to the tourist like you as well.
The thing is...there is so much non-spicy Thai dish more than you might ever know, but most of non-spicy Thai dish didn't manage to get much of air time in media, pop culture, etc., hence the spicy one seem to be the stereotype of Thai cuisine.

We love this area and have been several times but back in Dec 22 we found that the vendors (shops(restaurants) in Ao Nang have become more persistent and were walking out in front of us and trying to get us into their place.
I know they have lost a lot during the pandemic and are trying to make a living but it was quite intrusive, we were on Koh Lanta before that and it was much more laid back, as Ao Nang used to be years ago.
We will be back in Krabi next year but will probably not visit Ao Nang, we will go to Railey though.
