    I have a Z650 and it’s a perfect around town and small trips bike. I think those handle bars might be turned a little inwards, or mine are tilted back because they don’t sit at that angel and are pretty comfortable. Thanks for the fair review of this kawi

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea man it was a really fun all around bike, I was thinking the same thing about the bars, like someone had messed with them or something, they were just so bad I couldn’t get past it. Some pro taper bars or an adjustment would make it great though, that was my only real complaint the rest of the bike was awesome 🍻

    im a very new rider and I am 6'4, 27 years old and i was a little bit cramped on the Z650 when i test drove it. The Mt07 was little bit better but still kinda cramped so i went and got a Yamaha tenere 700 which fits me perfectly ( i had to order a taller seat too) being tall and a beginner rider lets you have only few choices 😂 im getting me a Zx10R after i gain some experience, its my dream bike, so is the H2

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tenere is cool, that was a good choice for tall beginner. I rode one last month and enjoyed it. It’s good you got that to learn on and not the h2 + you could put bags and street tires on it and make a good commuter when you get the zx10 or h2.

    I just bought this bike about a month ago. I grew up riding dirt bikes but this is my first big boy bike lol. It needs a windshield for sure. Going 110 down the freeway on this thing, the wind beats the shit outta you. I'm gonna put a two brothers exhaust system on it, buy some saddle bags, and definitely a better seat. Once all that's done I'll be more than happy with my purchase! Thanks for the review!

    Pretty strange that the Z400 handlebars are wider than the Z650s. Coming from someone that owned a Z400, I sat on a Z650 and could feel the difference but I don't remember it being that drastic and uncomfortable. Great video sharing your thoughts during a Demo Day!

    • @ScoutsOut

      Right!! Super strange to me how bad the bars on the 650 were and how much I enjoyed the 400 🤷🏻‍♂️ thanks for watching bro cheers!!

    I have this bike. The handlebars aren’t my fave. Would prefer a wider feel. It’s fun and peppy for sure. Looking towards the 900 here by the end of this year. Kawasaki has a demo ride coming this week, so looking forward to that.

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea it was a really fun bike to ride, with some pro taper bars it would I be 👌🏼, the 900 looked cool I tried to ride it that day but everyone went for it first and it didn’t work out but it looked like a cool bike

    • @ScoutsOut

    • @ScoutsOut

      Yea I have rode the mt07. The Yamaha has just a little more power and sounds better but the kawi looks way better imo. I would probly grab the MT

  • @thodoris3790

    awesome reviews man!i ride over 25 years.mostly on/off bikes.i had only one street bike ,the fzs600 fazer 2002.very good sport touring bike.but that was 11 years ago.now i want to buy a new bike and this time a street bike.i like these z series.and i like it more than mt07,even the new hornet.but,i think the 900 would be to much,from performance,cost ,maintainse.i like this bike.i didnt have the chance to ride it,not even see it from close.i d like to ask:would be comfortable ,i m 5.9.i know there is the higher seat choise.and second,i want it for country side roads and twisties,for fun rides and every day use.will the power be enought for a little fun?

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man, I'd say yes to both. The bike has a really good amount of power and a low seat height so you would be good for both feet on the ground at 5.9

  • @xelnjare3945
    @xelnjare3945 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    < has an aftermarket exhaust, and yes, it sounds pretty darn good. I'm tweaking my db killer setup (just personal preference, I want to drop it down about 5 dB or so) - completely changes the bike. Not using mine as a commuter, just hitting the twisties and enjoying the ride.
    Thank you for a review not outright bashing the bike - so many are locked into MT-07/SV-650 being THE only choices for middleweights and hate on the Z.

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What exactly would you do to the handlebars?

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would look into a protaper bar, and e that is more of a normal curvature, wider and maybe slight hire. Hope this helps

  • @vorticalacorn7ok906
    @vorticalacorn7ok906 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Im thinking of getting this bike as my first one. Im short at 5'6 what do you recommend to do with the bars to make them not be inwards

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would suggest aftermarket protaper bars as a replacement, most motorcycle shops have them and there are lots of different shapes and sizes to choose from. I have videos for installing them if you look through my channel, I put them on my grom and also my Honda crf250L if you want to see what you would be getting into for install

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think if you have ridden other motorcycles before and your not learning on the bike it would be a safer bet to get something smaller and lighter to learn on for your first bike but many do start on the 650 bikes and do just fine. If you crank the throttle hard it will power wheelie in 1st and probly second like my Yamaha R7 does
