It's 27 years of knowledge in 2 hours from China to India and global economy and compounding journey. Worth every minute of it. Just amazing. Thanks Shantanu for brining Adi the legend of FMCG.

Shantanu this is by far the best episode / podcast that you have ever done. So much factual insights on what China is, where we stand wrt China in 2008 and how we should not the demographic dividend go waste. Hats Off. Pls try to get such guests who have exposure to / experience in China or similar countries to get more insights. Plus the insights about strategies deployed by RB to beat HUL were also super cool. Finally, Adi Sehgal fairly humble and down to earth.

This was so helpful. I am running an ecommerce company and was creating packaging and started optimising website. Since the last month I have been stuck into this only and for the time being descaled the business.
One thing that struck me in the conversation is that I should test fast and should not look for perfection, which I started doing.
This is something that I have heard many times but then also I got struck into this.
Thanks for putting this amazing show.

For India to do perfectly or even better than previous similar cases like china and usa.
We need to innovate and find solutions for :
    1) Food security - (hydrophonic & vertical farming, etc)
    2) Energy - (hydrogen, nuclear, etc)
And then other supplementary industries like making sustainable cities and converting metro cities into a better designed cities.

Hi Shantanu - Good podcast but please bring startup founders, while this was insightful, podcasts you have done with Mukesh Bansal, Albi and OfBusiness guy was awe-inspiring to say the least. Corporate folks build very linear careers so they’re less interesting tbh.
    My recommendations:
    1. Another OG - VSS
    2. Sachin or Binny Bansal (they keep so low profile)
    3. Kamaths
    4. Meesho founders
    5. Amod Malviya
    6. Sameer Nigam

3 entrepreneurial advice given by Aditya Sehgal in conversation with Shantanu Deshpande , on The Barbershop with Shantanu podcast :-
    1. Until you start, it's zero. The faster you start, the faster you start your compounding journey. So, start your compounding journey early; don't aim for perfection.
    2. When needed pivot as soon as possible BUT always with the goal in mind and be sure what that goal is.
    3. While starting, rather than asking can I climb that ladder, ask am I climbing the right ladder, which wall is this ladder leaning against; don’t build it for next 5 years, build it for the next 100 years & the way to do that is not to worry about your exit, not to worry about short term success, you need to create something that is going to be true and enduring value.
