Manu:"We (investors) are in the in business of being wrong. So when you're building a business, do not look at us on how to build a business. The answer lies with your consumer". I had to pause the video and sit with this thought for 15 mins. Pristine.

Great video. I have been a supplier to Havmor, still am and now also to Hocco. Both great companies to work with. I met with Ankit once in my early days into the business. Was very impressed with how confident and to the point he was. I was still learning the ropes and i could see he could tell. But he was respectful.
    Looking forward.

This was a really good episode!
Shantanu's pitch has improved drastically from the Razorpreneur episodes - this time it was extremely well articulated, simple and crisp messaging. Loved it!
I've missed Havmor after I left Gujarat, they really were the go-to brand back then. Looking to order Hocco from Blinkit/ Zepto in Bengaluru, but I guess that will be another 6 months.

If there was no legacy of Havmors family business, what and how would have Hocco done?
Shantanu - This looked more like an ad for Hocco because I as an aspiring entrepreneur dint learn much from this epiosde. You should ideally get NIC folks on board and get their story out. They came from a complete different background and reached wherever they are.
Its so difficult to get through traditional distributors and Qcom today for a new D2C brand these days. Hocco got the distribution because of the legacy and trust they've built over the last few decades and there is a Manu who can share a table with Albinder to get through an entry into Qcom. What about a completely new D2C brand in today era?

Hi guys, great episode. Just a small suggestion, it'd great if you could have a ticker that explains some of the terms that are a norm during this discussion. For example, Contribution Margin (CM2) metric that Manu mentions which they evaluate as a key metric when making decisions. Similarly for LTV CAC and CSD. It'll help those that are uninitiated with such nomenclature. Nonetheless, as I mentioned, great episode :)!

Just a contrary thought regarding tracking omnichannel sales. Considering India stack on which we have all these channels built, won't mobile number be used as customer ID to identify the true customers and thereby able to identify LTV/CAC for CPG brands classifiable by customer demographics?
