I remember the: "European weapons to Ukraine will change the war!" "Leopards will change the war!" "HIMARS will change the war!" We will wait until the "Nuclear weapons will change the war!" from european-american news outlets
The game changer hype is an invention of journalists in the mainstream media. Just as they describe every Russian success as strategically important. i remmember the ''european weapons are red line, we are nukular power'' ''leopards are red line we are nukular power'' himars is a red line, we are nukular power''
It's not simply "Putin's red line", although the way Russia could retaliate of course is going to be relevant (which is not likely going to involve nuclear weapons). The bigger issue here is that the West doesn't have huge stockpiles of these long-range weapons, and the production capacity of these weapons is limited. This, combined with the fact that in case of attacks deep into Russia, the Ukrainian gains as a result of that won't allow Ukraine to then switch to shorter range weapons instead of the longer-range weapons to keep on targeting the targets deep into Russia, would cause problems. The way weapons like ATACMS are supposed to be used, is to deal temporary knockout blows by taking out important facilities, allowing an advance to be made toward the enemy's positions. And then, with that advance made, you can switch to shorter range weapons. With limited supplies and limited production capacity, one needs to avoid using ATACMS in a war of attrition. If you make an advance on the battlefield by using ATACMS and you then need to keep on using ATACMS to make sure the enemy won't be able to undo the gains, then the enemy can simply wait until you run out of ATACMS. This is the main reason why the Pentagon is opposed to granting Ukraine the right to use long-range weapons against Russian targets. It won't allow Ukraine to win, and there is a risk that when the supply of ATACMS goes down later that Ukraine could end up losing more than it gained. And low ATACMS stocks would cause problems for Taiwan, because Taiwan would require a large number of ATACMS in the opening minutes of any Chinese attack. The US will want to ship large numbers of ATACMS to Taiwan in case tensions increase there, to exert pressure on China. Another issue here is that Russia is getting experience with using their air defense systems against ATACMS. China can then benefit a from that experience. Unlike in the Ukraine war, Taiwan will need to fire a massive number of ATACMS in the opening minutes of the war against Chinese targets. Currently, the assumption is that due to the Chinese air defense systems never have seen ATACMS, that the success rate of shooting down an ATACMS will be low. But with the Russian experience this could increase to, say, 50%. It may be a lot better than the Russian success rate, because China will be able to prepare based on the Russian experience during peace time when they are still preparing for the coming war. In contrast, Russia is always to some degree wrong-footed in this war due to the West giving Ukraine arms that can exploit weaknesses in the way Russia has positioned itself in this war. China can then position its air defense systems in an optimal way before the war starts. China can also use the information Russia has about the explosive charges of the various Western weapons systems to make sure bunkers etc. offer enough protection. The impact of a Taiwanese counterattack with ATACMS will then be severely blunted. Add to that that Taiwan may not be able to get a large number of ATACMS if Ukraine starts to use these weapons against targets deep in Russia, and you understand that this is the main reason why the Pentagon doesn't like this idea of giving Ukraine permission for this. We should also consider here that the US government is far more competent on military issues than most European governments. The US defense secretary is a former four-star general while most of his European counterparts have no military experience at all. So, it's not that Biden is spooked by Putin's threats and that we in Europe are more knowledgeable than our US counterparts. But Russian threats to the West are taken ito account by the US, not based on Putin's threats but based on a realistic assessment on how Putin could react. For example, the US has a base in Eastern Syria. Russia could arm Assad's army with weapons system Russia so far has refused to give to Assad to allow Assad to attack that base.

LoL, this “superpower” hasn’t even been able to take out a small country like Ukraine. Russia is in a quagmire, at best. (And now this loser Putin thinks he can go to war against NATO? Again, if he can’t even take a SINGLE country in over two years, how on earth does he think he’s going to fare against 30+ countries SIMULTANEOUSLY, including an *actual* superpower in the form of the US?)
Yah, that's irrelevant, they have the right to defend themselves, they have the right to obtain that defense anyway they can. No Nuclear power has the right to take another countries land because they have the bigger gun. Ukraine has not lost, Ukraine has exposed Russia's weakness and criminality, the west itself has failed to capitalize on what Ukraine has shown us.
Is funny how all the western journos used to say that Putin is a mad man who doesn’t care about anything but now all the sudden he is very rational and would never nuke a western country.😂😂😂
Blaming “media” without actually making any point on why you disagree: good work by a Russia bot without a brain It’s exceptionally weird too because you seem to be following a script like a lot of the other commenters. I could play bingo with “mainstream media” and “corporate media”, etc
Zakaria on CNN interview with Zelensky said it right out loud to Zelensky face: "You can't push Russia out of Crimea and the Territories...' Zelensky didn't argue with him...
The Costa Rican Ladies Auxiliary National Guard could push Russia back if given long range missiles. Russia is bigger and they use long range missiles daily.....
No one talk about peace in Germany.. wow .. demanding a nuclear war ?? What an irony time of our time on earth .. Puri is going to win this war .. all of the westerners war business plan will face a Sebastian for sure .. Europe is the most risky place on the earth now .. wow 😂
Unfortunately Ukrainian has never fought a formal battle but mostly using human shields, sabotages, and targeting civilians. Since Azov, Nord Stream pipelines, etc we see this pattern.
China confirmed it was their ship that damaged Nord Stream because of their anchor. China is playing with Russia like its small baby. Chinese men taking Russian women. China taking Russian resources because they have no money to trade with. Putins plan went really really bad >D He made his country little puppet of China.
Ukraine is collapsing all over the front... And people still living in the fantasy land where nk armed Russia can loose a war before putting to use everything they have at their disposal... Remarkably foolish! 😂😂😂
Even if all these super loud EU countries were to come directly into a kinetic war with Russia they would have to accept defeat some day. They are nothing without USA and USA looks at Russia as a useful country to balance the mad ambitions of Europe.
They are daying un kursk Ukrainian troops they are daying in kursk right now Russian already gained 30of their own territory Ukrainian they are losing in their own land Zelensky is a fool man
I love how the west decides what they would do for Ukraine, if Russia starts to decide what it will do I think it won’t be a game changer but a short coming.
So the threat of using these weapons is working on it's own if Russia is pulling back systems and planes. The further they have to fly and operate the higher the cost, the slower the response, the greater the risk and the longer the defense warning to Ukraine. It's not what they want but its bound to help.
Could you imagine when the US gave the UK lend-lease in 1940 if the US said to the UK "You can only attack German troops in France with this. No attacking Germany!"
The analogy is better with China as the comparison. Most of the drones are either from components or outright bought from China, enriching China and with no strings attached. The USA of today is more like a European power of old.
The biggest question is not whether Ukraine uses long-range missiles, but who is operating them. If Ukraine owned it and operated it independently, then it could reach Moscow or even the Pacific Ocean, there would be nothing to say. But the fact is that Ukrainians are not allowed to operate these long-range weapons alone because it involves authorizing the use of secrets including satellites and codes. In another words, it is obvious that these missiles could only be launched by NATO forces. Why don't the United States and the West fully authorize Ukrainians to produce these missiles themselves and directly access NATO's secret information? 😢
On point...they either choose to directly intervene or give up their secrets(both these options are bad for NATO... Ukraine is corrupt and there's no way these secrets will not be sold to Russia)
A king was walking naked on the street, all his countrymen said his dress was nice. King was happy, until a young boy told him he was NAKED, but it was already late. Guess there's no King in Ukr -May peace prevail in warring Zone.
Why do all of your panelists agree so sweetly with each other. A real discussion is where all of the concerns of the people are made to contest strongly with each other by able panelists. And then all the points emerge when the contestants push each other. This soft gentle coordinated make believe approach is not a real panel discussion.
After the first one being destroyed soon after arrival in Ukraine they rather not have them come out in the open again. It happened during a massive barrage of missiles from Russia. But of course the MSM tell us it was a "technical malfunction" or "pilot error." 😂
no. ukrainian airports aren’t equipped, so polish and romanian airports would be needed … and be targeted by russian missiles - you think poland and romania want that ?
It doesn't do much good advocating for peace because putin doesn't care what western panelists think. And he's the one who ordered troops to cross the border, he's the one who started the war, and he's the one who can end it at any point simply by sending his troops home.
I have a question. How exactly will long-range rockets change the trajectory of war? The Russians will simply disperse their forces and ammunition or put them out of reach. Additionally, the Russians have very sophisticated air defenses that will take care of many of those missiles. Furthermore, if necessary, the Russians will put their planes in the Urals and even in Vladivostok and refuel them mid-flight in order to continue pounding the Ukrainian lines if necessary. Then what you going to do? Give the Ukrainians intercontinental missiles? The reality is that those missiles, like all the other wonder weapons that the West has given to the Ukrainians before, will do little or nothing at all to change the dynamics of the conflict because what the Ukrainians really need is men power and the West simply can’t 3D print them nor is willing to go into a war economy to produce the quantity of weapons they need.

Russia will always feel threatened, because its leaders know there is a world outside which provides its citizens a much better, more prosperous, and longer life.

Wouldn't make a change. Ukraine lost. This is reality.
They fight bravely but nobody believed they can won against a nuclear power.
2.5y and that nuclear power hasnt used them, but they have said using them since summer 2022 if west will give more capable weapons
You are right buddy
@@vt1340 much bravado, truly commendable, comrade. 😂
Well said Rusky!
Is funny how all the western journos used to say that Putin is a mad man who doesn’t care about anything but now all the sudden he is very rational and would never nuke a western country.😂😂😂
You're right. We should issue Russia an ultimatum, that NATO conventional forces will enter Ukraine if his forces do not evacuate in four weeks.

NATO🇺🇸🇪🇺 has no weapon that can push Russian army out of Ukraine 😢
Zakaria on CNN interview with Zelensky said it right out loud to Zelensky face: "You can't push Russia out of Crimea and the Territories...'
Zelensky didn't argue with him...
Very funny,
This is what these journalists keep skipping to talk about, other than glorifying NATO. These vassal countries confuse Iraq with Russia.
The Costa Rican Ladies Auxiliary National Guard could push Russia back if given long range missiles. Russia is bigger and they use long range missiles daily.....
Nope Kursk wasn't a poor choice, trusting NATO TO DELIVER THE GOODS was it.
This war nothing to do with Ukraine and Russia 3rd party involvement, not about nato .
it’s about the USA wanting to control the world !
This only ends one way and long range only brings everything closer to a end with nuclear weapons
Awesome analysis and discussion
No one talk about peace in Germany.. wow .. demanding a nuclear war ?? What an irony time of our time on earth ..

Storm shadow is a long range missile? With a range of less than 600 km, I highly doubt it can even reach Moscow from Kiev.

Unfortunately Ukrainian has never fought a formal battle but mostly using human shields, sabotages, and targeting civilians. Since Azov, Nord Stream pipelines, etc we see this pattern.
Put on your aluminum helmet, your brain is getting too much radiation from Moscow.
China confirmed it was their ship that damaged Nord Stream because of their anchor. China is playing with Russia like its small baby. Chinese men taking Russian women. China taking Russian resources because they have no money to trade with. Putins plan went really really bad >D He made his country little puppet of China.

I love how the west decides what they would do for Ukraine, if Russia starts to decide what it will do I think it won’t be a game changer but a short coming.
Russia forces use shovels.spears & machetes ( Von de Leyen)
So the threat of using these weapons is working on it's own if Russia is pulling back systems and planes. The further they have to fly and operate the higher the cost, the slower the response, the greater the risk and the longer the defense warning to Ukraine. It's not what they want but its bound to help.
Support Ukraine!!!
Go to front lines
why ?
17:35 exactly - well spoken.
It works both ways.
Could you imagine when the US gave the UK lend-lease in 1940 if the US said to the UK "You can only attack German troops in France with this. No attacking Germany!"
US entered in war 1940's and UK waiting to do the same now. Seems that UK specialists cant't use stormshadows without US assistance.
The analogy is better with China as the comparison. Most of the drones are either from components or outright bought from China, enriching China and with no strings attached. The USA of today is more like a European power of old.
They actually could have done that but that's a false analogy.
US is afraid of Russia because of nuclear weapon
Don't compare Russia's behavior to US vassals

Ukraine is corrupt and there's no way these secrets will not be sold to Russia)
missiles could only be launched by NATO forces.
Nato countries like the UK can barely produce these countries themselves, imagine trying to make them in bombed ukraine.
Simple: Ukraine is filled with Russian spies. Anything Ukraine gets direct access to is under high risk of getting compromised.
Because Ukraine can't be trusted
Let them fight back!
How tanks could change the war?
How F16 could change the war?
How Atacm could change the war....?
A king was walking naked on the street, all his countrymen said his dress was nice. King was happy, until a young boy told him he was NAKED, but it was already late. Guess there's no King in Ukr -May peace prevail in warring Zone.

Use pagers and cellphones. LOL
the moral of rhe west reached a new low.
If Ukraine can manufacture long-range missiles, it should do it now rather than wait for the West to decide.
It's actually in process but that takes too long for the current situation.
Ukraine should demand weapons and ammo from Iran and North korea since these countries dont put restrictions ^_^
YOU must be kidding you still think Ukr is fighting against Russia LOL. Ukr need to take a prior permission from its Western Master.
Even if they make there own missiles they have to use nato satellite to fire them that makes nato directly involed
Ukraine still lacks a military satellite network to guide those missiles.
Why do all of your panelists agree so sweetly with each other. A real discussion is where all of the concerns of the people are made to contest strongly with each other by able panelists. And then all the points emerge when the contestants push each other. This soft gentle coordinated make believe approach is not a real panel discussion.
DW and France 24 the same when ever they are talking about Russia they will say it's a debate but they are just there to support each other opinion
Where's the F16 ?
Can it change the cause of the war in Ukraine?
After the first one being destroyed soon after arrival in Ukraine they rather not have them come out in the open again. It happened during a massive barrage of missiles from Russia. But of course the MSM tell us it was a "technical malfunction" or "pilot error." 😂
They are in yo moms bed.
no. ukrainian airports aren’t equipped, so polish and romanian airports would be needed … and be targeted by russian missiles - you think poland and romania want that ?
There is no line!
Don't talk stupidly. Long-range missiles can only increase the damage and escalation of hostilities.

So if 4 people have the big brains to come on a talk show to talk about war why can’t these same people advocate for peace

Ukraine should demand weapons and ammo from Iran and North korea since these countries dont put restrictions ^_^
It doesn't do much good advocating for peace because putin doesn't care what western panelists think. And he's the one who ordered troops to cross the border, he's the one who started the war, and he's the one who can end it at any point simply by sending his troops home.
they’re warmongers
NATO would've used it long ago if they wanted to.....
