Thank you! As a girl, I am always interested in learning. Always did my vehicles...so now to do my Street bob!! Perfect instruction..I know I can, I know I can, I know I can.
Right on! You totally can. Let me know if you have questions even if it's not about one of these videos. I have more to post just haven't got around to it yet
Awesome thank you. I think if you drill a hole in the bottom of the oil filter and the top right after it will drain without going everywhere and make a lot less mess. I'm going to try it and I'll let you know.
I'm not 100% on the size, I bought mine at Harley and they just gave it to me. I won't be home for a couple days but if I remember I'll check mine and and let you know what it says. Sorry
I didn't tune mine. My dealership told me if I didn't do the screaming eagle Harley installed then. I'd lose my warenty. I'd recommend you going to Harley and doing the same just to keep the two year warranty. If you don't care about the warranty, I'd go to a reputable tune shop, tuning is a science and if you write your own without knowledge of the outcome you can really screw stuff up. Hope this helped! When my two years is up I'm gonna get it returned by a performance shop
Question I did the oil change and all but the oil is not registering on the jiffy stand I put the 4 qt in. But if I stand the bike up it registers where it should be any thoughts
I will always refer back to the owners manual. The only thing I can think of is if the oil change was done cold and you check the stick maybe it'd be lower? And when it's warm it could expand a little? If you want I can check my owners manual if you don't have one and get back to you.
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 I got one I got the same bike as you 2020 fxbb but on the jiffy it don't register and I don't want to put to much oil I put the same 4 qt bottle you did and also put 1 more pint in but it's not registering when I turned it on and let it run for the 2 minutes like the manuel says still nothing unless I stand the bike up
@@josephfabbro3188 yeah, I don't think it's as sensitive as the primary, my guess is your good. If I remember right I had the same issue last change I did. Did the recommended amount, and it was fine. I'm due for another so it lasted the entire change and had no issues
Changed the oil on my old bike before I had traded it in for this, getting around 850 miles now was curious where the drain plugs and stuff was. Quite helpful thank you. Also where did you get your frontal controls kit? I’m a tall guy and the mid control that are on mine get uncomfortable on long rides. I can’t find any anywhere these days
The transmission drain should be down, the engine should be back and the primary is on the primary side. Your oil change interval should be first 1000 miles do all three fluid change, 5000 do engine oil, and 10,000 do all three holes. I got my controls from the Harley dealership. I'm over 6' so I feel ya on the tall guy problems
Did u add oil after the initial 4 quarts on a wet fill? I ended up adding about 4.5 quarts. Did anyone else do this or did u just add 4 quarts and call it titties?
I usually add a little bit. 4 is good if that all you have until you can get a little more. But add 4, start the bike let it get to op temp, turn it off and check the oil on the dipstick to see if you need to add or not.
I think one of the reasons you spilled oil when removing the filter is because you were supposed to puncture the filter first with the long nail you got with the oil filter Funnel. Not busting your balls, just an observation.
Hey I appreciate that. Honestly I saw that nail and thought WTF is that for hahaha. Thanks! Hopefully people will see your comment when they're doing their oil change.
I used harley conventional oil first, but I switched to synthetic (syn3). Synthetic is better if you're hard on the rpms and gears (from the Harley dealership I go to). If I remember right it's 20w-50 but it's in the video. If you buy it from the dealership they'll hook you up with everything you need. also if you want you don't have to use Harley brand stuff, anything equal will work fine.

Man I been lookin for some one with a 2020 street bob to help me out with mine. Thanks boss ✌🏼
Send me a message if you ever have questions, good luck!
just upgraded to a 2019 FXBB and def subscribing to your channel!

Yeah, I feel like an idiot because the funnel kit came with a big ass nail, I tossed it. But now I punch a hole. Definitely helps keep it cleaner!
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 haha hey you never know something till you learn it. I learned a lot just watching. Thanks again.
Thanks this was a big help, earned my sub.
Thanks! Glad I could help out
Thanks ! Helps to see another non mechanic do it first so I make sure I don’t fuck it up !
I know this video is old but just did my 1st oil change on bike, 2nd owner. I noticed i used about 4 1/2 quarts. Did you have same readings?
Yeah I can vary based on how much was drained, I'd check your dip stick, get it warm then check again. As long as your reading is good you're alright.
About to change all my fluids on my 20 Street Bob, what size oil filter wrench do I need? Thank you for the videos, very helpful.

The only marketing on the filter wrench is 76/14 , hope this helps

Thanks man, yeah just played with some features on the editor I have

The nail in the kit is to puncture the filter to drain the oil before you remove it. Learned that after the video.
So you put 4 quarts in there? And what kind of oil did you use?

What bars are those?
forbidden motorcycle fly bars
They're motocross style and I got them cuz they were recommended with the forbidden risers. I really recommend them!
