First of all, I'm sorry I didn't get more of the wiring and the control or grip install. It was a frustrating long process to learn how to run the wires correctly. I used tie wire and electrical tape to run all the wires. It is a lot to run them through the risers I got, don't get discouraged they will fit. Harley Davidson key fob security code reset and starting engine with no key

Instructional video on how to start your Harley Davidson without your key fob. Specifically in this video I'll be demonstrating on a 2020 Softail Street Bob (FXBB) with the Milwaukee 8. Son of a bitch it worked. Previous owner never changed it from 11111. To think ive been riding around with all 1s. Someone could've stolen my shit this whole time hahaha. Thank you for showing me how to change it 🫡🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@fmpabxx7834 haha glad you got it to work!
Just wanted to say thank you, I did my moto bars and riser setup last night using this video. So helpful!
@@tylerdzugan9596 thanks man I'm glad it help you out! Ride safe!
You were able to run 14 in rise with stock brake and clutch lines?
Yeah Its a 12" riser and the bar has a few inch bend. That is basically max for the OEM cables. But it works perfectly with this set up. The wiring is also long enough. I had to get a HUD wire for the top mount display though
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 thanks man. Im going 14 in straight t bars next weekend, gauge will be at the bottom though so should be good
@@davidwalker3621 awesome! Good luck and have fun!
Hi there. Could i ask you. Where did u get your gas cap on tank. Regards. Tom.
I got it from brass balls cycles, unfortunately they are no longer in business. It's a pretty cool idea though, I set a military challenge coin in it
Thank you for your reply. I knew it was different and unusual. Have a streetbob myself. The gas cap caught my attention. We'll done to you. Best wishes from Ireland and keep up the good work.
At 9:15 did you just unscrew those riser bolts with vice grips from the oem setup?
Yeah, they are the OEM bolts. And yeah I believe I used the tip of the vise grip to get ahold of the smooth part of the bolt so I didn't mess the threads up. When you put them back into your riser set up you don't have to torque them, just a little past snug, the nuts should hold them in place. Hope this helped
My man I’ve been struggling for 2 days trying to get my late father’s bikes running. The batteries died, I think I only brought fobs for 1 of them instead of both. I was at my wits end when I saw that 11111 go in and said screw it. Like a goddamn charm both bikes are running now and I can take ‘em for cleanup and service. Thank you!
Awesome!!! I'm glad it worked for ya!!
Man is there anyway you can send me a pic of the tbw plug coming out of the frame? I’m doing internal wiring on my 16in apes and the guy before me just cut the plugs and soldered them together for some reason and I’ve ordered connectors to fix this but can’t find anything on which wire goes in what slot of the connector of the frame TBW connector
Geez man, that blows. Some people should not try to do stuff themselves. Send me a message on Instagram and when I get home I can send you some pictures. Insta is @kmvaders I'll look for a picture online too if I can find one.
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 I sent you a request rp_6538
How long did it take you to get the seat after you ordered it?
It was a little bit, maybe like 8 weeks. Well worth it though, I'm very happy with it.
after you ordered the seat, did you get an email the next day confirming price? I ordered my seat a week and a half ago and just paid the initial down payment and shipping. Never got an email confirming my colors and final price. I emailed them and text message them a few times with no response. Heard customer service is horrible.
What did u mean when u say use a sharpie to mark the plugs? Can u elaborate ?🙏🙏
No problem, I just makered them in a way that I could remember where they went. Take lots of pictures!!

Wanna sell those stock bars?
Sorry already sold em
I have a set for sale if your still looking
This must not be universal because this will not work on my 2023 Low Rider S
I think the low rider s is special, a lot of the parts and things are different. Wish I had a low rider s, they're sweet bikes. Sorry the video didn't help! This process is just out of my manual on the FXBB
Nice bike. Ordered mine for my yami bolt
Nice man, this seat has been awesome. Good choice
The question is if I buy the harley at the auction with the fob but it's got pin on it how I can turn on the bike without knowing the pin code?? Please help
Im talking about the first time when the pin code pops up and I have the key fob with me but I don't know the pin code and the manual code
That's difficult, I think what you have to do is bring it into a dealer. Try the factory default code, but if it was changed and the code is unknown, I think Harley will have to flash the CPU
Your bars measure out to 14 inch did you have to buy any extensions?
The only extension I had to buy was for the hud since it was at the top of the riser. All the cables and switches were long enough. If you do a different riser you can place the hud somewhere where you won't need a extension, but it all depends on your set up
Thx for the tutorial! Excellent work👍🏽🤟🏽👏🏽
Thanks! Hope it helped
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 you have a new subscriber.
Thanks for explaining these procedures. Timing is critical to successfully enter the pin reset mode. With a key fob present you must turn the ignition on and as soon as you hear the fuel pump stop running rapidly rock the switch off and on twice, immediately hit the left turn button twice and it will work. It took me awhile to figure out that I was doing it too slow.
I'm sorry about that, usually if you take it into Harley they will help you out with it for free since it's just a usage thing. Sorry I couldn't help
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 Apology not necessary, your instructions were correct, my timing wasn't.
Thanks 💪🏼
Nice video, thanks for the tutorial. I'm debating between the 9- and 11-inch HUD. I'm curious about the gauge display? Do you get a clear and perfect view of the gauge display while riding? Or is it hard to see the gauge display info? Thanks!
I'm 6'3 an I have a decent view of it. The only time I have trouble is with the glare of the sun, but I guess that's with anything glassy. Thanks for watching!
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 thank you for replying and for your honest feedback.
Absolutely, I did these videos to help out, not to make money. I haven't made a dime but I'm happy to help people like me that need a little help!
how long did it take to get the seat thru them?
It was longer than I thought haha, a few months. Did you order one?
yes sir
Nice, I like mine. It's worth the wait. I've had a ton of compliments. It takes a bit but for sure, but you'll like it
I know this video is old but just did my 1st oil change on bike, 2nd owner. I noticed i used about 4 1/2 quarts. Did you have same readings?
Yeah I can vary based on how much was drained, I'd check your dip stick, get it warm then check again. As long as your reading is good you're alright.
Good video, but that noise in the background (music) sucks!
Haha yeah, if you use an actual good song TH-cam won't let you post the video without proper permission "money" , those are the free songs TH-cam provides. Tried my best!
Did you mention how tall you are? :) cause I will change my bar setup soon and wonder what riser and bar height i should go with.. how many inches is the bar wide and how much pullback roughly?
I'm 6'4, the set up in my video is 12" riser and there's room for roll back adjustment. They make shorter risers and bars with different bend.
I was gonna do my bars next week. Great video, but I think I'm just gonna find a local shop to do it for me lol. Hopefully they'll be cheaper than a Harley dealership
Haha, yeah it is a pain in the butt depinning the connections. Hopefully you find a good price somewhere!
Did you use the factory riser bolts or new bolts? Also did you have to depin? I have people telling me I’ll have to depin wires and others telling me I don’t have to. For reference, I went with Thrashin risers and bars. Maybe there’s something about Thrashin that allows people not to depin?
Yes I used factory bolts, it was hard with the new bushing to get them in there but over time the lucky Dave's bushings smashed down, you'll have to retighted over time. And yes you have to de pin and re pin. I reference a good video by someone else In this video. It's a pain
Look in my description of this video, it has a link I used to depin and repin my connections, good luck!
I changed mine, and didnt follow the star pattrr to tighten and woke up with a small leak... i fixed it now, do you think its ok or should i add more fluid?
Depending on how much leaked out, if it was just a small leak I wouldn't worry about it.
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 just did a complete change of the oil as it was dark.
Where did yoi put more oil in at
No more oil, just after I drain I put 40 in the primary cover hole. I'd put 36-38, don't put 40. My clutch slipped a little with 40 oz.
The 11111 didn’t work, guess I’ll have to find the manual next.
You can always swing by the dealership too, they should be able to tell you or change it. And I'd be surprised if they charge you
Thanx👍🏽
Awesome thank you. I think if you drill a hole in the bottom of the oil filter and the top right after it will drain without going everywhere and make a lot less mess. I'm going to try it and I'll let you know.
Yeah, I feel like an idiot because the funnel kit came with a big ass nail, I tossed it. But now I punch a hole. Definitely helps keep it cleaner!
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 haha hey you never know something till you learn it. I learned a lot just watching. Thanks again.
Does the stock air cleaner need to be changed after aftermarket exhaust? I ordered a bassani road rage 2 shorty and I was told the stock air cleaner is decent but I have no clue I’m new to Harley’s
Yeah every thing I've seen the stock air filter has plenty enough air flow for a full exhaust. It's not a must for a new intake but I'd recommend. After an exhaust or intake change you should get a tune. Known as a stage 1 upgrade. Hope this helped
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 thank you! Yeah I’m currently looking around online for the stage 1 tune to see if there’s a place around me that can do it. Places are closed atm and I won’t know until Monday
Ok dumb question I just got a new bike I’m new to riding I got the dealer fobs can I just start it up or will the alarm go of
You should just be able to start it up no worries. This is when you don't have the fob, you can start it up with your code if the fob dies or you lose it
Ok and they code is for they key but the dealership ship guy said the pin was either 0000 or 1111 so I will try appreciate the reply
I was told the pin was in the manual but I’m looked through it Can come across it and I was worried what if the alarm went off how I would shut it off I just got all these questions I’m new into it
@@bryancardenas-qs4ig all good! It should be fine. The pin is for emergencies so you alarm should be fine and not have an alarm. Just dont share your pin
What size of allan key did you use for the riser clamps?
For the bar clamp, I believe it was 1/4"
If it was metric it was a 7mm, but I think it was a 1/4
Are those standard 3.5" center spacing on those risers?
They're independent, so I'm not 100%. What bike are you putting them on?
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 I'm actually thinking about buying a digital gauge and risers from an FXBB to put on my FLHCS Heritage (I miss the digital speedo and the higher location). I used to have an FXBB before, and I know the offsets for the riser clamp bolts are non standard, but I don't know if there's anything else weird about the Street Bob risers.
By those risers, I meant the stock ones. Sorry about the confusion.
@@live2ride9696 no worries, I just went out and measured and yeah they are 3 1/2"
@@harleyhelphintsfxbb3684 awesome. Thanks so much. BTW, dig the bike. I love my Heritage, but still miss my Street Bob sometimes.
Hi. a total height of 14 inches without changing the brake and clutch cables?
Yeah the only thing that I had to get an extension for was the HUD. If you go any taller than what I did in this video you'll need longer wiring and cables. I think the stock apes that come on the bike are 12 inches

The nail in the kit is to puncture the filter to drain the oil before you remove it. Learned that after the video.
Did u get a 7/8 bar or a 1" bar? And if 1 any issues with stock equipment going onto it?
I wanted to do 7/8 but the clamp and bar is 1". The fly bars are specifically made for this riser system. Be biggest reason 7/8 will not work is I couldn't find a throttle by wire system that worked. The fly bars have all the cut outs for the throttle by wire. No issues with stock equipment going back on. I think if you ran 7/8 it would be hard to fit all the wiring down them.
thank you for this video.
No prob
Can I see the cover of that manual please

Sorry man, I'm a newbie too haha. Just trying to help. Is there something I could help you out with?

Anything can be done for sure. Id just shop around and maybe call some companies directly and ask. Don't go Harley parts go aftermarket for sure
When you’re checking the fluid levels should you stand the bike straight or is it okay to check while leaning on the kickstand?
I had that same question haha, in the videos there is a reference for that, they call the kickstand a jiffy stand. I don't remember straight off the top of my head but I believe the engine oil is good to change on the stand, the primary definitely needs to be done level and balanced. The transmission I believe is like the primary.
