I reached out to Oontz customer service when I couldn't get the church new speakers to pair. I got a run around, asking for the purchase document, then photos, then a video, then to return the speakers. They did offer me new speakers which they sent and they wouldn't pair either. Emailed them and got the same runaround! My home speakers have been great - paired easily and I use them in our theatre for dance practice - no probs so I had recommended to the church to buy these ones when our organ was washed out by Hurricane Sandy and our organist died! Egg on this face!
After changing to a newer modem (& I don't know if this had anything to do with anything; just trying to figure things out), & a brief power outage or 2, my speaker stopped playing my Pandora music (or Amazon music, & finally NO communications coming thru from an Alexa command), I wrote to the company. They were not helpful, but suggested I check TH-cam for possible firmware updates. I had done everything the owners manual suggested to reset it, but nothing worked. I was furious, spending money on this speaker only to have it become useless before it was worn out (NO abuse involved ever). I am not very tech savvy, but these instructions were very good; I tried, & it worked!! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this excellent video! The issue that I had was distorted sound, when paired with one device only. There's the clue right trhere! Removing and re-adding the speaker from bluetooth devices did it. You are brilliant!!!
@@ericb31 It was a while back, but I think I just waited until the battery power completely drained, which is the ultimate reset. It works fine now. Good luck!
easy fix: GO TO A THRIFT STORE NEAR YOU, SEE IF YOU CAN FIND AN AM/FM/CD/CASSETTE PLAYER RECORDER, MAKE SURE ALL THE FUNCTIONS WORK: RADIO, CD PLAYER, CASSETTE PLAYER/RECORDER, IF ALL THE FUNCTIONS WORK, BUY IT!! **SOME GHETTO TRASH LOW LIFE LOSER PUNK INVENTED BLUETOOTH!!** OLD SCHOOL WILL ****ALWAYS**** WORK!!

Only one speaker was playing at a time, driving me crazy, "forget device" and "re-pair" was the solution. Thanks for the vid!!!

My Oontz Angle 3 won't turn off. The blue light remains lit even when I press and hold the power button or use the reset procedure recommended here.
