Thank you so much Kel for curating this delightful bundle! I spend a LOT of time on Ravelry, filtering and searching for perfect one-skein projects and yet I am always amazed at the patterns that slip through and I miss. My queue has now gotten longer … and I’m not upset at all about it!
I'm adding even more patterns to the bundle as I go through the comments because everyone has amazing suggestions - so be prepared for your queue to get even longer 😂
Lovely to meet you Kelly and so glad this podcast popped up on my screen Woo Hoo Another Aussie knitting channel to watch while I knit away, well when I get time! Subscribed and grateful for all that you shared today, so many thanks, from Melbourne 💜🐨
Such nice projects! Really enjoyed your presentation and hope to make one of the shawls soon. I was gifted a skein of cashmere and would love to use it for something around my neck. It is so very soft! Thanks again for the patterns!
This topic was great. A few weeks ago I sorted my yarn collection thinking I’d donate what I won’t use. Instead, I found several single skeins of lovely fingering yarns and now just need a few good Shawlette patterns. I just finished my first Hitchhiker and enjoyed making it. You have given me ideas of what to make next
Thank you for this episode and the bundle on Ravelry I have added it to my favourites 😊 I have knit the Lightweight hipster shawl and the Spindrift shawl and I love wearing them 😊
Hi Kel, great podcast to use as inspiration. I have knitted a couple of the free Betwitmas shawls which are one skein knits. Kindest regards Lynn, Albany WA, currently in UK
Great episode! I found a few patterns here that I really would love to knit and that I have yarn for in my stash😃 Thank you for putting together this beautiful list of shawl patterns👌 Hope you are having a wonderful week💖
Hi, I'm new subscriber, Ruth Loves To Knit, recommended you and am a new knitter hoping one day to make a shawl. Thank you for the great pattern ideas. I'm going to catch up with some more of your podcasts 😊
Loving a good Aussie yarny podcast 💜 I agree the Artesian by Rosemary (Romi) Hill is a stunning statement piece. I would wear it made with an equally stunning yarn over plain coloured dress or blouse to make this one stand out. Gorgeous!
Thank you for this great special on shawls 😊 I will definitely knit two or three of these patterns. Another nice one-skein shawl by Martina Behm is Fractal Danger. It's an easy knit with an interesting construction.
Kelly thank you for the lovely chat with my morning cuppa, up here in North West Queensland we use bandana style shawette knit in cotton in summer to keep the sun off our necks and chest, they can also be used up over the nose for sun and dust protection the" Bere" pattern by Brogan Murry of Wooly Witchcraft Ravelery Store this is a headwear/ kerchief style pattern cheers Bub
Thank you for your work on putting together these patterns .have lots of one skeins.just down loaded one you recomended and it's free thanks once again.
These are such lovely choices; thank you for sharing them. My favorite 1 skein shawl is Romance, by SusannaIC (on Ravelry) ~ although I must admit to being a huge fan of ALL her shawls. Romance is sweet and simple, feminine - thanks to a border of not-fussy lace, and it can be made large or smaller to use up every last bit of a precious skein.
Just started my first very basic shawl. I typically knit socks. But just wanted to try something else. I totally agree some yarn just cries out for a showcase knit and shawls would be perfect.
My favorite one skein pattern that shows the yarn features beautifully is the Close To You shawl by Justyna Lorkowska a free pattern on Ravelry. It's a very pretty shawl with a jagged lace edging that is a statement piece in any yarn colorway.
i was finally able to catch up with your videos after some hard working months at work🥲 i’m so happy to see you enjoying everything you do and to take inspiration from you. honestly, you remind me why i’m slowly, very slowly, but surely, knitting and doing my crafty arts and i should remember more often that i should enjoy them rather than stress over them. thank you for all the effort and positivity that you are spreading, i hope your trip to your brother will go smooth and safe, congratulations to them for the second baby and i wish everybody all the best💕 i’m so happy that i was able to meet you last year in an organised virtual knitting meeting, you and everyone else in the room were such beautiful talented knitters, god, it honestly fills my hear with joy 💕
Thanks so much for the list with those beautiful shawls. One I recently came across is the Herbivore from Stephen West. He showed one of his older designs with 1 skein from many years ago. I surely love the 2 skein version. See podcast no 2 (May 2022) world of Westknits. It is on my bucketlist. 🎶🪁🙃
Thanks for this curated set of shawls, I definitely love all of them! Saving this video for future reference.
Glad it was helpful!😊

Thanks! I want to get everyone as obsessed with one skein shawls as I am 😂
So many good ideas! I also tend to change my mind on a whim, so it is great to have projects lined up. Always nice to see you. ❤️🧶
Me too! Sometimes I don't even know why I make a list as I tend to ignore it and end up casting on something random 😂
Hi! I’m in Florida. I heard about you from Ruth Loves to Knit and I’m so happy to be here! The one skein shawls are my favorites!
One skein shawls are the best!!
This episode has come just at the right time for me. I now have ideas after a summer of buying special skeins while away. Thanks 😊

This was very interesting Kellie! Fab to sit down and take a break from the packing and listening to you 😍
Glad I could provide a bit of distraction and you've arrived down under safely 😊

Welcome Sharon! The spindrift shawl would be perfect as a beginner knitter as Helen's patterns are really easy to follow and are super lovely!

You're right, it would be the perfect accessory to really lift an outfit.
Thanks for all the great one-skein patterns. Another nice one is Confetti by Jennifer Tipton.
You are so welcome! I hadn't come across confetti yet but it looks so lovely, I've added it to the list 😊
Thank you for this great special on shawls 😊 I will definitely knit two or three of these patterns.

That's a great idea, I have some leftover cotton from a top I knit a few months ago that would be perfect!
Loved this x

Oh thanks for the recommendation, she has such lovely patterns!
I’m loving one skein shawls at the moment too. One that I made years ago, and love wearing is the Winterlight shawl by Meg Gadsby
Gorgeous pattern, thanks for sharing!
Just started my first very basic shawl. I typically knit socks. But just wanted to try something else. I totally agree some yarn just cries out for a showcase knit and shawls would be perfect.
Hope your first is coming along well Erica 😊
Âge of Brass and Steam is a perfect pattern. Ive made several
