The swastika in Latvian culture is know as the "Fire cross" (Ugunskrusts) or the "Thunder cross" (Pērkona krusts). The usage of this symbol in our territory dates back to the 3. century. It was used as a symbol of protection. You can still find it being used a lot of souvenirs and on traditional garments like skirts and crowns. The Thunder in Latvian mythology is a force of good and a motif in a lot of poetry and music dedicated to our countries indepence.
It just makes me sad that the Nazis took this symbol of multiple cultures and used it to promote the exact opposite of its meaning.

The pentagram is another symbol that has vastly different meanings depending on who you ask. To some, it's a satanic symbol used to summon demons, to others it's a protective charm meant to either draw in good energy or wards of bad energy depending on how it's drawn and to others still, it represents the balance between the 5 elements (water, fire, earth, air, and spirit) and shows how they relate to each other.

My daughter absolutely LOVES you MatPat seriously you've got her looking for theories in everything. So this is one of hers:
Gravity Falls: Blendin and Bill are secret partners.
There is a point when Blendin escapes from an impossible to escape prison. With Bill more than likely being behind that. Giving he's almost certainly messed with time and therefore knowing time police there is a good chance that Blendin made a deal with Bill to escape to cause problems with the twins.

Could you please do a theory abt Disney's original sleeping beauty and how the fairies are actually bigger villains then maleficent herself. For example when the fairies mess up and don't avoid aurora's curse they don't tell the king (her father!) Instead they cast a curse of their own which is actually bigger than malificents original one. They make everyone sleep which is just wrong on so many levels and take a risk that the prince will actually survive the challenge but oh well! Another thing is that whilst raising aurora they totally mistreat her and only make choices that benefit themselves

@Techno faked his cancer proof is on my videos ok, let’s go through this one by one. This is quite long but your comment is so stupid I feel the need to explain why it’s so stupid in excruciating detail so you’ll understand.
      1. That proves nothing, it’s a running joke on his channel that he only cares about money and success, it’s also a running joke that he doesn’t care about serious circumstances, and it’s common for people to joke about their situation because it helps them cope and relives pressure, which would explain why he would do this for a joke, on top of that he made his reasoning for doing it clear in the video, he said he’d had the plushies for a while and wanted to get it over with, people are a lot less likely to watch an update video than they are a normal video so an update video with a blank thumbnail would be a terrible place to advertise it, so this wasn’t just for his advertising.
      2. He mentioned in his video that he enjoys making videos and wants to spend time doing it, people with cancer are capable of living their lives as normal people.
      3. What you are describing is illegal, Technoblade already makes thousands from TH-cam and donations, the amount of money he would have earned from that stream is only a drop in the ocean compared to what he’s made over the years, so why would he risk going to jail for a relatively small amount of money?
      4. Despite leaving on a major cliffhanger in his last stream he left TH-cam for months without even popping up on other people’s streams, in that time he could have been streaming and making thousands of dollars from donations, but instead he was just gone, also, he doesn’t show his face often, and hasn’t in a while, we have no idea whether he has hair, he made a joke about not having hair and since we have no reason not to trust him when he says he has no hair, Im gonna guess he has hair.
      5. To do all what? He made a stream which made slightly more than usual, he uploaded two videos, and he got people to spam #TechnoSupport which I guess boosted his clout? But he already had people saying other catchphrases like Technoblade never dies, or a Sun Tzu quote, so why would he risk his reputation for such a minuscule gain?

Had a discussion slightly similar to this on an HP forum recently. That modern teens and tweens get the symbol of the Deathly Hallows as a tattoo because it's a simple cool image from our favourite fandom.
But were an older individual from in-universe Europe to see those teens, they'd take it entirely differently. The symbol of something, well not mundane as the Hallows are pretty special already, was taken by a group preaching hate and turned into a symbol of that hate. Just look at how 21/22-year-old Viktor Krum, who wasn't even alive during Grindelwald's campaign, reacted to seeing Xeno wearing it. Now imagine what that would be like to someone who endured Gellert's actions.
This is what the Nazi's did with the swastika. Took something that already had a meaning and perverted it by association with their own agenda.

Just what is it you're saying here, exactly? He was off on multiple bits of information and his opinions that were shoehorned into places where at least an "alleged factual basis" would've been satisfactory. Like saying that the "Symbol for Sulfur" was nothing more than just that, is to ignore the entire idea of occulted knowledge that is Alchemy and the language of it's symbolism, as well as, the reason for all of the hidden meanings in centuries old, leather bound, anthological tomes produced by the original practitioners of chemistry, who had to hide their work in plain sight, lest they be accused of performing magic, and seen as a sorcerer or some kind of conjurer, ultimately leading to their death by being burned at the stake...the most common method of execution for a witch or wizard, and any other sort of blaspheming heretic who was thought to be evil by the church officials. So yeah, you don't really know much about Symbolism or Symbology and it's probably best if you stick to what you do know, like comics and puns about even cornier dad jokes. Good luck sucking off the satanic psychopath that provides your paycheck. And talking bad about Sicily's flag is about the best thing you could do when people know who you are and where you live and stuff. Sicilians are so bad that Italy kicked them out and relegated them to an island that they renamed to ensure distinction from those "Pre-Mafia" nutjobs like most of my family members. So just be cautious who and what you insult without thinking about it....you think the flag is scary???...

But he already had people saying other catchphrases like Technoblade never dies, or a Sun Tzu quote, so why would he risk his reputation for such a minuscule gain?
Your comment is illogical and clearly just a pathetic attempt to get people to watch your video.

A theory to consider: Are Mr. Misstoffelees and the Cat in the Hat one in the same, or at least, related? There is a bit of evidence to support this. They can both teleport. They both have a hat that they can conjure stuff out of. The Cat in the Hat also has a box that acts as a gateway between dimensions (universes). Is it possible that Mr. Misstoffelees learned more magick from Makavity in return for redeeming him and allowing him to get to the Heaviside Layer. The magic allowed him to create a gateway between the world of Cats and the world of Seuss. The world of Cats may also be lilliputian, which could explain why Cat is taller in the Seuss-iverse than in the Cats universe. 🤨🤔

Common misconception (popularized by Zeitgeist and New Agers) that Christianity reveres the sun -- the sun doesn't hold any particularly powerful reverence in worship compared to the moon or other stars like its adjacent religions (Moon in Islam, Star of Remphan in Judaism), but there are some visual similarities when showing the glory of God or the Angels or even the Saints with the use of halos, but none of this is ever meant to invoke the physical sun as an object of reverence or worship.

I mean... Every video ends remarking the 'fiction' of each theory, and this video itself debunks any hope of theorizing with real life symbols and calling out to really research the history behind everything.
The way I see it, conspiration theories connect information in the same way as any game/film theory does, but there's a difference. All the information connected coming from the films/games exist, usually, inside of it own fictional world, and thus this theories are, while fun to make, not anything to be taken seriously. The source of that info is confirmed to be fictional.
In the other hand, the sources of the information that shapes most conspirational theories are not that easy to confirm. And so, it is up to the people to make assumptions about it. Maybe overlooking confirmed info because of doubting of the source, or taking into acount some roumor as an undeniable truth. Those assumptions can be strongly fixed by the "theorizer" personal beliefs. Even if some people can indeed take a conspiration theory as a possibility, their real strenght comes by when they are shown as hidden truths.
If they are real or not, can only be confirmed when enough information is released to the public, pretty much the same that happens to fictional content. But, when talking about fiction, the theories get confirmed or denied easily, with just the author's release of more content. But, can we say the same for conspirations? The problem is, there is never going to be real confidence in the source. That can be kind of dangerous if a person decides to keep going, and more if they decide to get tons of people in the same track.
And given the amount of conspiration theories going on, at this point is more about the theory that a person relates the more given it believes of the world than about really making interesting connections between suspicious information. And so, the risk comes actually from sharing your real worldview, rather than from making the actual theory.
That kind of risk is going to be up to MatPat, but is not something that he has shown lots of interest into making a channel. Or maybe he has, I really don't know, but maybe there are production limitations related to a project like that. Or just is not related to the style he wants to mantain. Again, I just cannot know with the info I have.
And so, maybe he prefers to stay with "just" game/film theories. It would be interesting to see a channel of him focused on his opinions about politics? Welp, maybe! Is he willing tho? Welp, I guess he knows, but I don't.

The Lost Symbol was the last book I truly enjoyed, and I was sad that it didn't get a movie adaptation, as I thought it did more interesting things wit Langdon's character arc than the later books (namely, in this book he actually had some character development).
