*This dance is known by many as the Upton Stick Dance but it may be more closely linked to the Chingford Stick Dance which at some point in history was briefly called the Upton-Upon-Severn Stick Dance - the main differences between the Upton Stick Dance and the Chingford Stick dances are the tunes and sticking in the chorus. The Chingford dance tends to use the tune Twin Sisters and the sticking goes tips/butts, Quarterstaffs(two hands, left hand down), fencing, #morrisdancers #morrisdancing repeat.
