About Gidderskins.
"Gidderskins are a new Morris side from Herefordshire dancing mainly in the local style. The Ludlow day of dance was one of their first public performances."
"Gidderskins" - from the old Herefordshire dialect to jump around and play about - strong, quality and friendly Border Morris in its home territory.
The Morris Federation Day of Dance 2023 and the Morris Federation's AGM on Saturday 30 September. Some Morris sides were dancing in Bishop's Castle and some in Ludlow.

Brilliant - I'm an ancient Scot living in rural Devon where we are lucky to have many fine groups. It's in the finest traditions of the English peoples and I love to see it. Lets see more of this group please. 👍👍👍

I live here. It’s just another day in Ludlow to us Locals. However, we have a history rich in Celtic culture and history come and join us, midweek breaks, weekends and for our many festivals, we are the town that never stops.

It was my first visit to Ludlow. If there are more festivals with Morris dancers I will try to visit again. I might get to see more of your town.

It is great to see that Morris is having a vigorous revival. A few years ago the future seemed very bleak. Many women are now taking part in this joyous pastime, and outfits are very varied. People have often told me they thin k it is a pointless pastime, and not for real men. They fail to see the endless pleasure and excercise it provides, and also the fact that whenever you see a Morris team performing, you can be sure that there will be a nice pub very close

I think people who say it is pointless don't know about or have not been involved with Morris sides. I don't dance or play music I just enjoy filming the different sides and all the people I have met are really nice and enjoying their hobby. They are out meeting people which is great for mental health and keeping fit at the same time.
